Don't work with this company. Information unreliable. Customer service is terrible - especially responsiveness and scheduling of installation. The install crew damaged the new washer upon installation by dropping it. Did not install correctly - washer would not work. Refused to hook up gas line using customer caution on causing a leak in copper line as the reason. Do yourself a huge favor and steer clear of this company. read more

Seeing that we have been through all this virus stuff, when I needed to replace my dishwasher I just went to these people. I should have know when I walked into the showroom and is smelled of cigarette smoke to the point of nausea. And I was wearing a mask. I selected the dishwasher knowing it was about $100.00 higher than a big box store. Took forever to complete the paperwork and all I wanted was to get out of that smoky showroom. I was quoted an additional $100.00 for installation which seemed reasonable. The guys came to install it the next day. Sliding the old appliance across my wood floor and then sliding the new on across the wood floor. They had to come back the next day to finish the installation because they didn't have the correct parts to do it. Joked about he had them in his truck last week but took them out. Installation ended up being an extra $35.00 Won't go back there again. read more

I have a service contract with Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool and they scheduled an appointment with Pillowman on Thursday (7/29) between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. My husband took the morning off to be home. Pillowman called me at 11:30ish am and said that they could not keep the scheduled appointment and rescheduled for Wednesday (8/4) between 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm. I took the afternoon off to be home. At 4:00 pm I called Pillowman to find out if service was still scheduled. I was told that Pillowman had communicated (electronically) with Whirlpool to indicate that they could not "take on this job". Pillowman did not communicate with me, and I had to reach out to find out that they were not coming. I am disappointed that Pillowman did not give me a courtesy call to let me know. It cost me money to wait for a repair that did not happen. I am a tad bit grumpy. I would not suggest or refer Pillowman to anyone. read more

Our dryer has been broken since Monday, and that's the day we called in for a repair. We gave them a 2pm to 7pm window for Tuesday. They missed it and never called until Wednesday late afternoon asking to reschedule. Rescheduled for Thursday between 2pm and 4pm, and they missed it again. We called at 4pm asking where the repair person was, and were given some explanation about how he ran into problems at a previous job and can't make it. Cancelled, and they tried to argue over when we submitted the request, then hung up. Not going here again. Sears, with their call center in India, has much better support than this outfit completely based in Chassell. read more

Customer Service is awful at Pillowman Appliances. They were supposed to fix a washing machine that was under warranty, and are the only repair place authorized by Lowe's for our area. They were to come on a Monday between 8 and 4. No call, no show. They said they had no record of our repair, yet they pulled up the order online while I was on the phone with them. Okay. Mistakes happen. They said they'd call the next morning to set up an appointment. No call. I called in the afternoon and was treated rudely by the woman who answered the phone, saying she needed more time to talk to the repairman. No call came. The next day, I called GE directly and asked for a different repair person. I called Pillowman back to let them know we made other arrangements, and I was nice (even though I was VERY unhpappy), and the same woman hung up on me. They are not a friendly mom and pop shop, and I would not recommend them. read more

I would not recommend this place. I bought a used appliance from them. They completely misrepresented the unit to me. When I came in I asked if they had a used stacked washer/dryer as that was all that would fit in the space I had. They said they did, but I could not see the unit because it was not in the showroom, as they were selling it for another customer and had yet to pick it up. I was told they would go through the unit carefully and service it, and that it was in very good shape. I asked how old the unit was, they said it was only 5 years old. I agreed to buy it. when the unit arrived it came in the jammed in the back of a minivan and I had to help them unload it despite being charged nearly $100 for delivery. They dropped it off, and rushed out the door as fast as possible since I didn't want to pay them another $100 to install it. When I looked at the manufacturers placard on the unit I realized it was actually 10 years old! To add insult to injury the unit was yellowed and smelled badly of cigarette smoke. The last straw was after cleaning it thoroughly when I finally got the unit installed and turned it on the dryer had bad bearings and was making a terrible shrill screeching sound.
