I am extremely disappointed with the kitchen renovation services provided by Pillars Construction Contractors. From the very beginning, the experience was riddled with issues and delays. The first meeting for the estimate was canceled, causing an immediate delay in the project. When measurements were finally taken, they were incorrect, resulting in wrong-sized cabinets being ordered and further delaying the renovation. During the estimate, the bulkhead was investigated to determine feasibility, and photos were taken to confirm that it was okay to proceed. However, at the moment of ordering the cabinets, we were suddenly informed that electrical work needed to be completed first, causing yet another delay. Despite paying an expedited fee for the cabinet order and delivery, the wrong-sized cabinets were discovered only after the kitchen had already been demolished, causing additional delays. Furthermore, one replacement cabinet was not included in the delivery, leading to even more waiting. When the cabinets were being installed, one cabinet, which had been inspected previously, was found to be damaged. Throughout this process, there was no apology for the weeks-long delay which left us without an operational kitchen. There was also no consideration for our work schedule. Communication was poor and often unclear about what was supposed to be done. Contractors Baladimir and Hoover, who did a good job with the installation, were unable to communicate in English, adding to the confusion. The original wood floor was scratched during the inspection of the cabinets, and my concerns about the damage were dismissed. The job was not completed until Lowe's customer service stepped in to demand action, avoiding further delay in the installation of the countertops. At the last minute, I was informed that the outlets in the backsplash would not be set once the backsplash was installed, and there would be an additional cost to have the contractor return to complete the work. Overall, the experience with Pillars Construction Contractors was frustrating and unacceptable. The lack of communication, repeated delays, and additional costs made this renovation far more stressful than it needed to be. read less read more
