My last day at Moses Lake it was recommended to me to visit Pillar Rock Grill. Not going to lie, best meal of the trip was right here. Yes, it is off the beaten path and outside of the area where most of the restaurants seem to be located but it isn't that far. There is plenty of parking and the view of the golf course and all the squirrels made me pleased. My co-worker and I sat outside on the patio underneath a large umbrella. Our waitress was wonderful. She was engaging, attentive, friendly, and funny. All the employees wore masks and still I could easily pick up how each was feeling and acting despite the lack of the lower half of face to go off of. She provided us with paper menus that had a variety of sandwiches, salads, and wraps. I opted to go with a bowl of their crab bisque and their salmon and rice. I also ordered a glass of the raspberry lemonade. The lemonade was huge! I mean, that was the largest lemonade I have had in years! I ended up drinking a quarter of it and then pouring my water in it to lighten the sweetness. I prefer it not as sweet as this was, but it was very good. My only mistake was ordering both the bisque and salmon. It simply was too much food. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was roped with this tangy sauce that was delightful. But that bisque is where it's at. It was rich and creamy with a little bit of heat. The large chunks of crab meat was delightful. I can't stand vegetables and I found I didn't even think twice about them as I downed this bisque. While I was overly full I was also very happy.

Nice little golf course restaurant! It's beautiful on a sunny day. We had the Benedict and Corned beef hash. They were both good. The hash was more hash browns than a traditional corned beef hash, but the flavor was great!

When the wings showed up, I was highly disappointed. $15.50 for that?? My Monte cristo sandwich only cost me $13.00. Pillar Rock, y'all need to do better!

Fantastic brunch!! My mimosa was yummy, and my hubby said the coffee was really good, too! His chicken fried steak was so thick, and my breakfast burrito was full of thick chorizo! We were given a bonus biscuit from our attentive waiter, and now I know what I will be ordering next time, the Biscuits & Gravy!

I ate here for a work related function. I'm from out of the area and didn't know this was a restaurant at a golf club. I saw no sign or other advertising that would have let me know that this was a restaurant. The food was good; I had a corn meal crusted walleye that was smothered with an andouille sausage mix. Very tasty.

Off the beaten path but a great breakfast spot, with outside dining. Views are nice service attentive and some great breakfast choices.

Heard about this place so wanted to check it out. Walking inside and you're met at the counter to…read morebe seated. Looked inside for lunch and there weren't that many people inside....plenty of seating...and still had to wait 10 minutes for a server. There's a bar inside with descent amount of seating. I ordered the Catfish Basket w/Fries. They serve you Shrimp Toast after they seat you and it was ok. Catfish Basket w/Fries were ok. I heard the muscles, shrimp and crab were ok. If you're in the area swing by and check it out.

We came in at 5:30 to celebrate my daughter's birthday. There was no waiting and we were seated…read moreimmediately. After ordering, our drinks were brought out, but the food still wasn't at the table at 6:45. We asked for crayons so the children could color, but they were not forthcoming. I got up after 20 minutes to get the crayons myself. I ran into the waitress and reminded her that we needed crayons. She went and got them. We talked about leaving and paying for our drinks. The waitress came and told us there was a "glitch in the system and our ticket didn't print." That was an explanation without meaning. Our food began to arrive in pieces. It took another 15 minutes for everyone at the table (4 adults and 2 children) to get their food. Someone in management came out and comped my daughter's appetizer. Upon paying the bill, there was an automatic 18% tip added to the bill. We are good tippers and would have left at least that much (not because the service was good and not because we loved the food.) It wasn't the money I objected to, it was taking my right to determine what we would leave as a TIP (to insure promptness). It really ate at me. I called the restaurant where a women answered and told me the manager was too busy to speak to me, but she would have him call me back if I told her my problem. She became snippy and rude as I explained my issue. Later, she called back and in the same short and irritated way told me that the manager wouldn't talk to me, but they would return the tip to my credit card. I told her that was not the goal I had in mind. I wanted to let the owner/manager know that I don't like the policy of adding a tip without consent. She told me the policy was printed on the menu (I guess I was looking for food and missed the legal ease.) I suggested that the policy should be on a sign as you enter the restaurant so that people don't feel violated when you assign them an amount to leave the staff. She said, "So, do you want the refund?" I said, "yes", which kind of surprised me, but her attitude sent me over the edge. I provided my credit card information and will NEVER return to this restaurant!
