Paint was chipped everewhere deck, pool. There is no maintenace done to this place in all areas of the place. We went.to the room unpacked and we both took a shower and my wife being the second one in there saw mold on the walls ceiling around windows. So called the front desk and said had to wait for morning to talk to the manager. At this point, it was late and did not feel like arguing. Watched a bit of tv which is so outdated by the way. And then i saw my wifes eyes in desperation. When she removed the covers of the bed to slide in she noticed stains on the sheet. Not just regular stains. What looked like shit and blood stains that was washed and put back in the bed. This place can't even afford to change the sheets once stained not to mention the bugs. We could not believe how this place was run down. So we packed up our things at 11pm to for somewhere else to stay all the while they said there will be no refund until we talk to manager in the morning which by the way he said he will only refund me one night of the 2 booked if i do not give a bad review. I cannot in good conscience have peple rely on my non comment about this place. Pleae please please find somewhere else to stay. Such a bad business!!

Was looking forward to visiting the Lake on the Mountain Restaurant with my mom and 5 month old…read moredaughter, but left a bit disappointed with the overall experience. Let's start with the positives. The view and atmosphere were lovely - the lake on the mountain is really beautiful and we and a great view from our table on the patio. It took a while to be greeted and seated for our reservation, the hostess wasn't super attentive. Our server was polite but not overly enthusiastic about anything on the menu or anything really. When I asked her what she would recommend on the menu, she didn't sound overly excited about any of the options (should have been our first red flag). We had ordered San Pellegrino to drink and the server asked if we would like anything else to drink. We asked her what the other non alcoholic options were and she said they had lemonade, but it was made from a powder (another red flag). I'm glad she was honest about it but I was surprised that they wouldn't have made fresh lemonade or at least had another option. Our appetizers took a super long time to arrive. My mom decided to start with their housemade pate and I ordered the mussels, which were prepared in a garlic cream sauce that day (menu says they change their preparation for that particular dish daily). My mom said she enjoyed her pate however the mussels arrived lukewarm and the accompanying bread was burnt. Not an ideal way to enjoy this type of dish. I asked the server if she would kindly bring bread that was less charred and she said that she could bring more but it would look the exact same due to the way the chefs prepared it. Very odd. She offered to bring untoasted bread instead, so I said yes. The mussels themselves were ok but they weren't cleaned properly and a few of them still had their beards (?) on and one was super sandy. Doesn't instill a lot of confidence in the quality of the food when there isn't care taken in the preparation. There were also a few which were slightly closed so I didn't risk eating those ones. We were still working on our appetizers when our mains arrived (tourtiere for my mom, a burger and fries for me), the timing was too close. As other reviewers noted, this food also did not arrive hot either, but rather lukewarm. Because it was windy and we were still working on our appetizers, our entrees were borderline cold by the time we started eating them. My mom said her tortiere was just ok and so was my burger. The burger itself didn't have a lot of flavour and the fries seemed like they were likely from frozen ones. Sadly, this place could be really awesome if the peeps running the kitchen put a bit more effort into preparation, ensuring the food is hot and using fresh local ingredients. I also read from other reviewers that the menu hasn't changed in years so perhaps an overhaul is due. In it's current state, I would not rush to return and would not recommend visiting unless perhaps coming for just a drink and maybe an appetizer.

Food and view were wonderful! I had the orricchietti and the bruschetta, and loved both. Loved…read moresitting on the patio next to the water. A great find!

Ate breakfast and dinner at the restaurant every night. The filet was great, scallops and shrimp scampi, and probably the best French onion soup I've ever eaten. I shouldn't have to click some link randomly texted to me. Or call the phone number 4 times before I get a live person Apparently it is an airbnb because I got no housekeeping service. Now I'm wondering why I got charged a resort fee when this is not a resort. They advertise all these great TV channels but I can't even find MNF. No microwave. That's like a basic thing. I've got a mini fridge though. And apparently they never heard of ADA compliance. Why sure I'll hobble my ass up a flight of stairs with a 50lb suitcase. No dresser. Guess I'll live out of my suitcase this week. Can't find the thermostat. I have half a mind to call the property manager up. But it's 0100 and I'm feeling generous. The only place to put my laptop has no outlets available nearby. I've had to run the cord halfway across the room to connect to a 4-outlet adapter that is glued to a nightstand for some reason. So that the nightstand with a table lamp sits in the middle of the room also.

Also we had booked a "lakeside queen" room -it technically was lakeside but not the side with the windows which faced the parking side of property. There is a beautiful lobby/ sitting area with fireplace ( I never saw an actual person at front desk). If you need anything they seem to respond best by text. It may be the time of year but it was basically a couple of people that managed questions. Breakfast is self serve in lobby area with coffee etc. There is a refrigerator with juices, milk, bagels, fruits to help yourself. Overall we enjoyed our stay but will probably request a different room next time
