I can't say enough good things about Growing By Leaps & Bounds! I was nervous about leaving my 4.5 month old with anyone, but my fears were quickly put to rest. Our daughter had colic when she started and it comforted me so much to know that they held Lilli as much as she required (which was a lot!). If I had felt like my child was upset and crying alone, I would have lost it, but they took such good care of her. If she needed to be held, they held her. They also sent lots of pictures and videos of Lilli on a regular basis, so we could see that Lilli was cared for and happy. Abby, the director, and Jenna, the infant teacher, are both moms themselves and are a great blend of personal and professional. You get all the professionalism of a top notch daycare with people that really care about kids and know how to comfort and make them feel safe and cared for. I also really appreciated their advice when Lilli got sick or hit a new developmental stage. Having their input made me feel really supported as a first-time mom. You can't put a price on knowing your child is in good hands, and it has meant so much to me to have peace of mind regarding Lilli's care. We are moving far enough away that we now have to switch daycares and it's so sad! Again, I can't recommend GBLB enough!

This place will always hold a special place in my heart! A few specific things that I want to call out, as I have found them incredibly valuable to me over the years. -GBLB is independently owned. The owner, Abby, is engaged, thoughtful, and incredible with kids. She is easy to contact and responsive. (I feel compelled to mention that she also has expert level face painting skills that each of my kids have loved!) -The staff are equally wonderful and most have been there for the full 10 years we have been at GBLB. I have loved the consistency this has provided my family/kids and they have all been remarkable. -Everyone is communicative and collaborative. I felt like we were all on the same team supporting each of my kids in their individual needs.

My two kids have been at Burlington Kiddie Academy for going close to 2yrs now and I have been very…read morehappy with the experience. Logistically, the the facility is new, hours are better on the late end than most of the other local facilities, and this is also one of the few day cares that prepares meals for the kid's lunches (very allergy-conscious). And while no day care is perfect, I've had no issues in scheduling time and discussing any issues I have had with the appropriate staff. Personally and most importantly for me the teachers have been great for both of my kids in providing both a good learning environment and a caring environment. My daughter goes out of her way at the end of the day during pick-up to track-down teachers and give them hugs.... while others won't let the kids go without a hug & kiss. My son's teacher in particular has been exceptional, helping him through his special needs diagnosis and learning. Revision: I'll also add that I make surprise appearances at the school now and again, and typically spend 3hrs reading books or spending time not only with my kids and their classes but also with others classrooms excited to have a story or two read to them. Cameras are great, but if you want full disclosure on a day in the classroom you sit there for a few hours unannounced on a random day. The teachers love their kids, are committed, and have the respect of their classrooms. Lastly, my wife and I had previously shared our thoughts about the benefits of the school bringing in outside groups for sports, music, language, etc to bolster the curriculum. So it was great to see soccer instructors added in. I especially enjoyed my then 3yr old tell me (a former coach myself) about the importance of ball control :-) All that said I'd highly recommend anyone considering a day are to tour the school and see if it's a fit for you.

Lacking Empathy and Basic Human Kindess…read more I had been hired by Kiddie Academy with the hopes and promises of advancing my career in early education only to find discrimination and cruelty. They have admitted to being against hiring males specifically and fired me as soon as they found out I had become homeless. I had worked hard for the short period I was there and gave everything they demanded as quickly and efficiently as I could just for them to terminate me for reasons out of my control. As soon as the Director, Nancy, was told I was living in hotels due to my mobile home being crashed into by a snowplow (enough to have left damage making it unlivable) she fired me. It did not matter how good of a worker I was for them, she discriminated against me due to my currently living hardships and in turn making life in general much harder after letting me go. I had even turned down other positions for this job just to be treated in this way. On top of all of this, I still have not been paid for my time there AND Nancy tried to cut down the hours I would get paid. Are these the kind of people you want teaching your kids? Lacking empathy and basic human compassion, sexist, do you really want your kids growing and learning from an environment and people like that? Trust me, if you love or care for your child, you will go elsewhere because they don't care about your child just the money they bring in.

The teachers are so well-equipped and creative, and the curriculum is fun and engaging. The classrooms and playgrounds are big, beautiful, and well-maintained. Plus, their hours are very flexible. My daughter loves going there and seeing her teachers and friends (and she loves sharing with me what she learned every day). I'm so thankful we found this school. Highly recommended.

Seasoned educators beware, this place is for young ones just out of college that want to work at a…read more"school" The owners and management staff are business sharks that have their own ways and philosophies pushed onto the new staff (especially young people just starting out) . It's not about the teachers even though they make it appear that way - sorry but daycare educators want more vacation time, a better schedule (because you have to work a 9 hour shift with an unpaid paid hour lunch break) and proper raises and bonuses (without having to move up (suck up) to management) if you are a Teacher and just want to do your job - good luck with that! Educators don't want pizza and cupcakes or staff events they want real paid time off, seniority respect, and increased vacation every year of service. When they opened their school they wanted to treat the educators well but REFUSED to look into burnout. Instead they decided to host tons of events (some being on Saturdays) and enroll children without enough staff. They also used to be opened 6:30-630 - kids never left because the tuition is so damn expensive. Kids never went home sick or missed a day because tuition is so expensive. Burnout is real and when you work long hours into the day and get few paid holidays it's really gets to you. Kiss your summer goodbye because the time off is so low that once summer comes you used up all your PTO in the winter cus you got sick or had a few things going on... 5 days that's it! Also if you're there for many years, you get the same time off package as new people. The standards are so high that you can't enjoy the children because your constantly checking off boxes, on the iPad, or dealing with " Primrose fluff" it's very hard for one human to adhere to Primrose standards. Don't even get me into the curriculum (not NAEYC) either. It's not fun if you're a free thinker or free spirit. There's no respect for seniority either. One summer I witnessed 25 staff members leave the company. It's what the owners feel is important, they want you to fit into their little box. Use your judgement if thinking about working here or enrolling your child. If your wealthy Montessori is the way to go/ private nannying/ small church preschools! Less stressed out teachers, more focus on the children for sure. Oh, and you have to wear dress pants and flats (that smell and fall off running after the kids) but at least you "look good" to the parents (Lol) and you have to purchase your own primrose shirts for uniform.

We feel that our children are safe, loved and being taught the values that represent our family's core values. The corner stone, of course, is that the education is great - my children are equipped with life skills and a solid educational foundation for a bright future. I have three kids: one who went to the toddler program, preschool, pre-K and is now in the elementary school; another is in pre-K; the last will begin preschool when she's 2.9 years old. One thing that continues to impress me is that every single year, we get an awesome group of teachers to instruct and partner with us to raise our kids. most of the classes are pretty small but have consistent and ample staffing to provide a stable and engaging environment. They are accredited by EEC & have a fun but challenging curriculum for each age/grade. Through early Covid, the school reacted and engaged with the students at a very high level online. In fall 2020, they opened back up for in person learning. Our family did not partake in that school year but we missed a lot of things about it and tried to stay informed. The only thing that has made me sad is when families move to public school for elementary and the little friendships and parent relationships fall off. I am encouraged that there is talk of expanding the school to include middle school in the near future and I hope this has an impact on more kids staying. Either way, we know Mount Hope is the right place for us! The facilities are well-kept and have recently been renovated (all of the bathrooms are new and updated and the playground equipment has been recently changed). There is a hot lunch program, which is prepared on site and catered by Burlington famous pizza. There is also for school and after school care options available. It's definitely an investment to get great childcare and education, but it's an investment well worth it! Our kids are our now and our future!

During that time, we trusted the school's guidance, paid thousands of dollars in tuition, and believed he was making academic progress. Only after seeking outside evaluations did we discover that he was significantly behind in reading and writing. In my opinion, this school is not properly equipped to support children who need additional academic help or who have speech and communication delays. Rather than providing meaningful support and intervention, it often felt as though children with extra needs were viewed as a burden. What disappointed me most was the lack of urgency and concern regarding my child's learning progress. As parents, we expected honest communication, early intervention, and a clear plan to help him succeed. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Parents should carefully monitor their child's academic development and ask questions early and often. Do not assume everything is on track simply because your child is being promoted to the next grade. Every child deserves educators who are genuinely committed to their success and willing to provide the support they need to thrive.
