Taco's were excellent!!!! Meat was amazing. Had one carnita's taco and one Birria taco. Prices seemed kind of high, but the taco's were great!!!! Place is super small, so don't go there during dinner if you want a seat inside. Also only two people working so don't expect speed with your meal. But they do take out. We ate here two of the four nights we were in Barcelona. Although it's a smaller restaurant the ambiance has a cool vibe. It's comfortable and has everything you need. The margaritas were on point and the food was delicious. Our favorites were the birria quesadilla, campechano and tinga street tacos, and the nachos pikio. We walked in on May 30th at 10 pm asking for take away and we were told that the establishment was closed even though there was food being made on the grill behind the hostess/server. There was also a full restaurant of ppl so it was obvious they were not closing any time soon. As an ex-server from NYC - I would have gotten fired for this type of behavior. Management needs to train their employees on customer service or change the hours listed online. Walk another block to Gonzalez & Co Gracia. Amazing food - great value for money! They have a variety of tacos, as well as nachos (which are a massive portion) and other various items such as tostadas. The guacamole was delicious and came with home cooked tortilla chips! The tacos are delicious and they have an amazing meat-free chicken substitute as well as jack fruit tacos - great place for any vegetarians/ vegans. Place appears from the outside like many other cafes and restaurants in the area, but once you get inside everything changes. First of all the food was amazing, it was clean, and the staff was very friendly. Okay that's all great. But what really did it for me was when I asked him to make the margaritas strong for my friends and I, he sat the entire bottle on the table and set make them as strong as you want(didn't charge us extra). Above average tacos, terrible service (from the cook). I stayed in the hotel just a few doors away from Piki Taco. That being stated, it was very a convenient location for us to dine. We attempted to dine here on three separate occasions. The first attempt was around 6:30pm. There were several available tables, and we were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, and the cook (let's call him Newman) gave us a dirty look. We stood there waiting five minutes and he never looked in our direction again. We walked out and no one said a word. On another occasion, we ate here and the tacos were good, not great, but good. Slightly better than Taco Bell, not nearly as good as most Taco trucks I've visited in he states. I should state that the service was good and Newman wasn't around. On yet a final occasion, a few friends and I visited around 10pm after a long day. The tables were taken, but there were four bar stools available. Newman refused to serve us, and when a friend requested take out Newman responded "No tacos for you!" (you get the idea). To the owner...your food could've been great, but he atmosphere ruined it. Newman may be a good cook, but he's a problem for your business. You know who I'm talking about, you know you do. This place was right across from our hostel and we were all excited to try it out. Let me tell you - it did not disappoint. The wait was a little long, but there was only one guy working the entire restaurant - from filling orders (our table of 4 alone had 12 tacos + 2 nachos), taking payments, clearing tables, etc - so we were pretty understanding and not in a rush. I think we only ended up waiting 30 minutes, and it was worth every minute. The tacos were incredible. The tortillas got soggy but with the amount of food that was put in them? I have zero complaints what so ever. Our entire table was so full and happy. All our food including a drink per person was less than 80 euro. Definitely recommended!! read more

Service was absolutely terrible. Upon walking in, the hostess/waiter was extremely rude to us and gave very unclear instructions on how long the wait was. When we tried to put our name in, she said that they didn't have a system for that, and after waiting 20 minutes and checking back in again, she very aggressively told us to relax. This place is delicious. The service was kinda slow. It's a relaxing and chill environment. The staff, which was like one man, was very nice. The nachos appetizer is really good and all the tacos as well. I didn't have a chance to try any of their drinks. It's a great location just across from the generator hostel. HORRIBLE !!!!! WE FOUND A TOOTH!!! Tonight Sunday 17th of sept. 2017, my boyfriend and I went to enjoy what was supposed to be good mexican food in our city. We ordered several tacos with meat (as most of them have) and in the Aguascalientes taco we found a tooth! The waiter quickly took the tooth away and tried to make it seem less than what it was and said it was "just a bone" but my boyfriend and I had (disgustingly) looked enough at the piece to know it was indeed a tooth. We politely told them it was unacceptable and they should demonstrate a good service to us by not making us pay for a good part of it (we were fairly willing to pay for the drinks) but they forced us by ganging up on us to pay for the food. I highly recommend to avoid this restaurant. The service and treatment with what happened was unacceptable. Any decent and welcoming restaurant would have responded in a thousand better manners and they did not. My boyfriend and I are very descent polite and understanding people. I only write this review, as we were shocked by the lack of decency from their part and the disgust we felt. read more

The best tacos and margarita I've ever had. I HIGHLY suggest the chicken "Tianguis" tacos. Holy cow I've never had such delicious tacos. They're not your typical chicken tacos, but so much better. The frozen margarita was absolutely delicious as well. Yes it takes a while to get your food, but the drinks came right away and the food is worth the wait. The only miss here were the chips, they were meh. But everything else made up for it. Wish we weren't leaving tomorrow morning so we could come back tomorrow night for more. read more

3 stars are just for the strength of the margaritas! For the small portion for 4.50 they do get you buzzed. BUT for the actual food I'd give it a 2 star rating. Two words: flour tortillas?! Come on, go up a couple blocks to la reina de las tortillas and buy a pack of corn tortillas. If they used corn tortillas instead of the flour they'd get 4 stars. The fillings were good although a bit on the cold side. Service was the usual indifference that I see in restaurants here. If they had larger portions on the margs I'd go again. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I want to save people's time and money from coming here. First let me start off with their service, WORST SERVICE EVER!!! They took almost 2 hours to serve a table of 5, because the cook had an 8x10 skillet, mind you their was a full house, so she was cooking 3 tacos at a time. Our waiter was rude and asked us to speak to him in English not Spanish ( we are in Spain and I heard him speaking Spanish ). The tacos looked and taste awful, I was very disappointed and our food was cold. I guess the best thing of the Resturant was the music they were playing, that's why I gave them 1 star. I want to be extremely honest. I literally made this yelp account to prevent any tourist or anyone in general from having the experience I did. Since i was staying in a hostel across the street I thought it was really convenient to just walk down and grab some food and maybe make it a regular for my time in Spain. Would I have known the experience I was going to have I would have literally walked miles away somewhere else. I came in expecting to get some good attentive service with some authentic Mexican food and came out highly disappointed. To start, we didn't get our drinks for 30 minutes and then our food for another hour after that. In addition, the food was not good AT ALL. Tacos were cold and and tasteless and nachos were greasy. Whenever we'd ask the server for something he'd throw it in our table with a shitty attitude. He never came back and checked on us so I grabbed a soda from the fridge right next to my table to spare him the work since it was pretty busy. When It came time to pay, I was honest and had told him that I grabbed a soda and the guy got super enraged and went off on me yelling in front of others saying that I can't do that only he can and that why did I think I could just do what I wanted.. it was really not that serious. For any tourist or any person in general trying to have good quality food and most importantly, good service and respect , I highly don't recommend coming here. I would literally give no stars if that was an option. The workers need to rethink the way they treat their customers and I for sure will tell everyone I know not to ever go there. read more

We live in Barcelona and have been eyeing this place for a while. Craving some good tacos we finally went this past weekend and it was a total let down. Not sure what the people are on about raving about this place, clearly had not had a solid Mexican food before. Cheap ingredients, industrial tortilla chips from a supermarket, even though there is a Mexican tortilla shop just up the street in Gracia where they hand make fresh authentic tortilla chips from real milled corn, these guys could easily source them from there. Instead, they use industrial cheap stuff. Creamy Velveeta cheese poured all over our nachos from a squeeze bottle, no fresh cheese, no fresh chilies. The most boring, cheaply made nachos. I have had better nachos at a movie theater. Tacos are tiny, skimping on ingredients, no chilly sauces available to add to your food to spice it up and add some flavor (this is a norm in most good taco shops). When we asked to have some frijoles (black beans) on our nachos instead of meat that comes with it, the waitress rudely responded: "no tenemos fijoles" (we don´t have beans). That should have been an alarm sign already (Taco place that does not have frijoles?!) but we stayed. Mistake. Margaritas come from a cheap over-sweeten frozen mix machine - do I need to say more? Any decent place will make you a fresh Margarita with a fresh lime these days. Machine mix?! Last time someone poured me one from a mix machine must have been when I was in high school. I suspect the place preys on tourists or people that don´t understand good food.The only good thing about the meal was the Negro Modelos. read more
