They have restaurants along the outside and even some hidden ones inside some of the entrances of the indoor corridor. I would suggest probably researching first based off options and where to eat. There's plenty of dessert, bakeries, and even some small markets. There's an Asian grocery store that's almost like an H-Mart which has a wide variety of Asian groceries, snacks, and food. We went to one restaurant that was pretty good and the wife got Ban Bo Hue and I had the grilled pork. It was decent and there were a lot of people waiting in line. Only thing is you could only pay cash. They have an ATM around the corner but have a service charge of like $8 from what I can remember. I would recommend this place if you love Vietnamese food. There's a Harris Teeter, a District Taco, Black Squirrel, Orangetheory, and many other fun little things. A plus for this, other than it being right off the orange line...wait, no. That's the only plus. The elevator vestibules here are not air conditioned, beware if you have small children and park in one of the garages in the summer. But the absolute worst thing about this complex is the parking. They offer 2 hour parking and *strictly* enforce towing if you go over. Heaven forbid if you want to stay for a bit, do some shopping, maybe take an a class, eat and have a drink. You must keep it to 2 hours. No, under that so you have time to walk back to your car. Ride share or metro if you can, but beware if you decide to drive here.

I have parked there many times before and I'm aware of the need to press the free parking button on the meter. I did press the button and I'm sure the 2 hours appeared. But there is no way to prove this. I did talk to Harris Teeter's manager and he told me they tow regardless of the meter and recommend parking on the upper level that Harris Teeter owns as they don't tow there. Also be aware that the signage on the lower level is limited and the towing enforced signage does not even include a phone number for the towing company. I had to walk up to Harris Teeter's garage to find a sign and number. My recommendation is to stay away from the lower level parking that is shared by Harris Teeter and Avenir Pl. As even honest people can find themselves paying 200 bucks through no fault of their own, it's just not worth the risk.

I did not find something that struck me for her gift but I did score a nice shirt for my son on clearance, as well as Sun Bum lip baum (a surfers brand that is cruelty free & has SPF) for 1/2 the price! SCORE! I also saw the exact same Gaiam roller for 1/2 the price I paid for it on Amazon! If you don't mind looking, you will find things that you would buy at big name stores for half the price here.
