I also love that the area transforms on weekends with farmers markets and special events, sometimes even closing off a main street to make it pedestrian-only, which gives it such a fun, community feel. Some of my favorite shops here are Target, West Elm, Barnes & Noble, and Lululemon. For food, you can't go wrong with Bar Taco, Alta Strada, True Food Kitchen, or grabbing a quick bowl at Playa Bowls. The mix of casual and elevated options makes it easy to find exactly what you're in the mood for. Mosaic has everything -- it's lively, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Truly one of the best places in Northern Virginia to spend a day or evening!

Admittedly I miss the once famous Grevey's, that was here who knows how many years ago. Yet the Aldi and CVS that's 24 hours, can be helpful at times. There is a Bank of America here, and Clarkson Optical is a welcome addition. The AT&T store is available for their customers. To its credit this small strip mall is convenient to a lot. Just off the beltway and 50, you'll find a parking spot. It's not going to win any excitement awards, but it's a practical spot to visit.

Besides the fact that there are so many places I frequent, like the gas station (they take those Giant points!), CVS, The UPS Store , Aldi, and Starbucks, I really enjoy it for 2 reasons: 1. They have a wonderful section with outdoor seating that is a perfect place to sit and hang out with your cup of coffee; and (2) There are always so many friendly people in the parking lot! It's kind of funny, but all the time people walk by smiling and saying hello and sometimes we even end up having a short conversation! It's great!! The cinema arts theater has been upgraded. Mama Lucia's is very good for pizza, as is Foundation coffee on the back. Admittedly a strange set up, but happy to endorse them. Parking here can be difficult though. Non drivers are in abundance. The Sierra store is pretty good. Also I like the Ulta here for colognes, and the Fed Ex shipping center. Also you can find deals at Burlington and Marshall's. Saving money especially now, well it can be of substantial help. This mall isn't pretty to look at. It's a strip mall for the most part, and also has a DSW and Five and Below. Safeway is overpriced, but at least it's better than the Soviet version west of here.

These grocery stores can save you money. Actually smiling typing this, as I remembered there used to be a Carvel ice cream store here in the 80's. There have been so many changes. This area is more upscale now. That being said I hope this mall will be renovated. It is showing it's age. There's also a Popeyes here, and a Arby's on the far side of the parking lot. Driving in and out of here can be an adventure. Definitely be aware as it's a densely populated area.

Yes it serves a purpose, but a lot of stores here aren't all that super. Are there other strip malls like this? Absolutely. Taco Bell does good business. As for traffic, definitely be prepared for defensive driving. A lot of parking spot cutting seems to be a trend. Also I don't like leaving 236 from here, as the congestion and lights set up isn't helpful with moving vehicles. I wish the development could offer more. Yes there's a few restaurants and a laundromat. For me that means don't need to go here. Maybe others view it more favorably.
