You will feel like you're four-wheeling, and you will have to watch out for your life as there are no stop signs where they should be, and peeps are rude, flippin' & honking. If you decide to go over the weekend then be prepared for trying to find parking. It is madness. Not enough parking spots. You'll have to play parking wars and some of the spots were taken by some of the tents for outdoor seating but once you get past that it can be a little wild. Lots of people and so many food options. They have restaurants along the outside and even some hidden ones inside some of the entrances of the indoor corridor. I would suggest probably researching first based off options and where to eat. There's plenty of dessert, bakeries, and even some small markets. There's an Asian grocery store that's almost like an H-Mart which has a wide variety of Asian groceries, snacks, and food. We went to one restaurant that was pretty good and the wife got Ban Bo Hue and I had the grilled pork. It was decent and there were a lot of people waiting in line. Only thing is you could only pay cash. They have an ATM around the corner but have a service charge of like $8 from what I can remember. I would recommend this place if you love Vietnamese food. I would love to go back to explore some of the other places we didn't get to see.

I'm sure eventually someone will come in and dress up this depressed section of Glebe Rd, including the Buckingham shopping center. However, as it stands this building and the surrounding ones are such eye sores that I don't blame new tenants for moving elsewhere. If someone doesn't improve, at least cosmetically, the businesses in this area and increase the walkability- it means no new jobs or economic improvement for Buckingham area residents. Buckingham writ large and this shopping center in particular have a small town feel with tons of auto traffic and potentially foot traffic. .. Please, please-can a developer come in here and spruce this place up? I know a yoga studio or at least an organic market would be well appreciated and promoted by local residents. Perhaps it would also start to diminish the current number of loiterers hanging around across the street outside CVS and McDonald's. Admittedly the parking situation is not the best...but neither is the parking situation in Clarendon or Courthouse. Perhaps a garage can potentially be built on top of the Buckingham shopping center or a nearby business.. If impossible, it would be beneficial to add bicycle parking and make the sidewalks wider/smoother to accommodate foot traffic.

The shopping center is host of several small businesses including Buckingham flowers. The entire district was deemed historic in 1999. The site is composed by apartment complexes and the shopping centers. I could not find markers or memorials that would provide the history of the district or why it was deemed historic which is quite disappointing. I grew up around these apartment complexes and thus they hold a close place to my heart but I wish they would do more to highlight what makes this district historic. You can tell from the brick building and architecture why these are worth preserving but also it would be nice to have some sort of structures to teach people about the history of the county. Obviously there is no fee to visit the district. I visited the neighborhood in 7/17/2016. 11/18/19 The other day I was looking for a jade bracelet to…read morereplace the old one that broke. Walking around The Eden Garden Shopping Center, I called to find the shade bracelet I wanted. Many of them were on a elastic cord that es ould snap on me. I like to wear jewelry for days or weeks without taking it off. If I were to do this with elistic cord or elastic nylon, (which I have) the rope/cord breaks. As I checked each store I did not find the bracelet I wanted, but I did see some ideas on one or two Christmas gifts for my wife. One of the last shops I went to had what I was looking for. There was one green nylon bracelet with jade designs on it. It is an adjustable bracelet and happened to be the one and only one too. I bought it for $10 bucks, and wore it immediately. The other options of nylon colors are Red or Brown. I wasn't feeling the red nylon and I dislike the color brown. So much so that I will not wear brown clothing. There are many other things sold here, but I wasn't interested in them. Still, unam sure the next time I am here, I will come across something else I will like.

I went into Giant last year. I was having problems with my Giant rewards account and logging in, I called support for help and spoke to a local person. Giant support is still in MD and PA. That impressed me. I had been shopping a lot at Lidl and when I was walking around Giant o saw many of the prices were compatible. I also love how Giant had many local food products including Ben's Chili, Ledos pizza and local bakery items. It's nice walking into a grocery store that anywhere you turn you see a Giant employee and they are always friendly and happy to help. Giant is my go to grocery store now and it has been for the the past year and don't know why but I get excited when I pull up to my local Giant.

Immediately Maila the customer service rep walked directly over to me without saying anything and just stood behind me and watch the entire transaction without saying anything. When it was clear that Maila was not standing over any other customers it was obvious profiling. Took out my Credit Card to show the customer service rep to ask if she sees the credit card, and sees it going into the machine. While Maila was standing there, I said we can go to your manager and she said my manager told me to walk over to you. Got it. Then after paying for the items and walking out of the Self Service checkout, the person next to me had an issue and Maila said "Oh how can I help?" So to recap, I get profiled and assumed to not be able to pay for 2 candies and a popcorn, and the woman next to me receives customer service once Maila watches me complete my entire transaction. Fire Maila tomorrow or if she was not lying and what she said about the manager the manager was true who made this decision to profile take away their job. There is no room for this type of harassment when buying candy and popcorn at Giant after already going through the pharmacy line to then be accosted and laughed at while trying to buy movie night items for my family. This review will continuously be posted about Giant McLean.
