After I waited for 15 minutes with other items roasting in my car in 90° weather, the Customer Service with authority to help me (who had told a fellow employee that she would help me) returned with three or four boxes of 12 mini diet cokes. I reiterated that I only wanted 2 six packs of the mini cans, none of which were on the shelf. She told me there were none in back. I asked her if since there weren't any of what I needed, I had to pay full price for the larger box that I did not want or if she could give me a discount (maybe the same price as 12 would cost in the BOGO?). She dismissively told me that I had to pay full price if I only bought one box. I consider that neither "working with me" as a customer nor Customer "SERVICE." frankly, I was shocked and appalled at her attitude and lack of desire to help a customer. She had no apparent desire to help me as one of her customers. Her attitude does not reflect the customer orientation that I have known in any other Publix in any state in my life. I am grateful that there are now two Publixes in LaGrange and I will do all that I can to shop at the Publix at Merganser Commons instead of the one on Commerce in the future.

So after I tried several Kroger locations in Atlanta looking for Cornish Hens, I decided to wait until we came down to Lagrange to cook our meal. Needless to say this location had almost everything we needed. I did not expect to find everything, but they did have most of what we needed and I picked up every "Manager's Special" item that I could find because I was only cooking for two and only for one evening. Luckily my new Boo was on the boat fishing because he is no fan of Manager's Specials items. :) The store was clean, staff was friendly and the line moved quickly. And that's saying a lot because this place was packed!

At first I was ready to hear an angry or at least a partly frustrated voice - but rather, they were just trying to give us a reminder call. When we finally reached the store and I apologized for the delay, a staff named Laura said that they try were just trying to be thoughtful since they realize many families have more things to take care of. It gave me the warm fuzzies to encounter such considerate service in midst of rough pandemic times - this is definitely a Kroger that goes above and beyond in our experience!

Need to return an item purchased online or at the super center? Take it to the neighborhood market's customer service counter! The line will be shorter and the customer service will be friendlier. Money transfers? Neighborhood market. Buy online and want to do in store pick up to avoid shipping costs? Schedule your pick up at the neighborhood market. Need gas? They have that too. The only disadvantage I have noticed is the bakery does not seem to offer as much as the super centers do but they do have a bakery/deli with a variety of menu options. If you are a Walmart bingo connoisseur, I suggest you go to the Walmart Super Center. If you don't know what Walmart Bingo is, I suggest you google it and make sure you aren't a qualifying square.
