After I waited for 15 minutes with other items roasting in my car in 90° weather, the Customer Service with authority to help me (who had told a fellow employee that she would help me) returned with three or four boxes of 12 mini diet cokes. I reiterated that I only wanted 2 six packs of the mini cans, none of which were on the shelf. She told me there were none in back. I asked her if since there weren't any of what I needed, I had to pay full price for the larger box that I did not want or if she could give me a discount (maybe the same price as 12 would cost in the BOGO?). She dismissively told me that I had to pay full price if I only bought one box. I consider that neither "working with me" as a customer nor Customer "SERVICE." frankly, I was shocked and appalled at her attitude and lack of desire to help a customer. She had no apparent desire to help me as one of her customers. Her attitude does not reflect the customer orientation that I have known in any other Publix in any state in my life. I am grateful that there are now two Publixes in LaGrange and I will do all that I can to shop at the Publix at Merganser Commons instead of the one on Commerce in the future.

I ordered for my wife and I the 16 piece baked chicken for lunch and dinner later. The pieces of chicken were very small. The breasts were an average size. However, the chicken was very dry, to the point of being almost inedible. My wife and I couldn't finish our breast pieces due to how dry they were. I tried a wing and it might as well have been dust. I decided to take the rest to our cabin to try and rescue something for dinner, but nothing could be saved. We were on a tight schedule so I did not bother asking for a refund. The area where you sit and eat was filthy. The window ledges had mold all over them, the trash was full, tiles were filthy, and tables hadn't been wiped. See photos. No matter if I need Shells to stuff with cooked snails or crab to Peanut Butter and oddities that sell like hotcakes, they have it. When we finally reached the store and I apologized for the delay, a staff named Laura said that they try were just trying to be thoughtful since they realize many families have more things to take care of. It gave me the warm fuzzies to encounter such considerate service in midst of rough pandemic times - this is definitely a Kroger that goes above and beyond in our experience!

UPDATE! it got much worse. I'm driving down the road…read morerealizing that it cranked easier when I left without purchasing a battery. pulled over, poped the hood and sure enough there was a new battery. I went back and asked to speak to a manager. The man who said I wandered off without creating a work order came up and reiterated that they had not installed a battery. But, there was a printed work order in the back room. You can imagine that Walmart would later pull that and realize it wasn't paid for and I could have been charged with theft. I spoke to a manager who was apologetic but didn't have any real answers. I did purchase the battery but still fuming mad and shaking with the thought that I could have been accused of stealing a battery from Walmart. My time and sanity is worth more than saving $15 at Walmart. ________________________ Went in to buy a car battery. They tried multiple times to enter a work order but he said the system was down. We went inside and he entered the information at the station by the register. he pulled up where I had been before and he said we were set and they would text when it was done. I came back over 30 minutes later and the car was still sitting there not worked on. an hour later as I'm walking up the guy said where did you go you wondered off. I asked if it was ready and he said they never entered a work order. I wasn't about to wait another hour so left without a battery. I hate that Walmart has taken over so many towns across the country and run so many local businesses out.
