UPDATE! it got much worse. I'm driving down the road realizing that it cranked easier when I left without purchasing a battery. pulled over, poped the hood and sure enough there was a new battery. I went back and asked to speak to a manager. The man who said I wandered off without creating a work order came up and reiterated that they had not installed a battery. But, there was a printed work order in the back room. You can imagine that Walmart would later pull that and realize it wasn't paid for and I could have been charged with theft. I spoke to a manager who was apologetic but didn't have any real answers. I did purchase the battery but still fuming mad and shaking with the thought that I could have been accused of stealing a battery from Walmart. My time and sanity is worth more than saving $15 at Walmart. ________________________ Went in to buy a car battery. They tried multiple times to enter a work order but he said the system was down. We went inside and he entered the information at the station by the register. he pulled up where I had been before and he said we were set and they would text when it was done. I came back over 30 minutes later and the car was still sitting there not worked on. an hour later as I'm walking up the guy said where did you go you wondered off. I asked if it was ready and he said they never entered a work order. I wasn't about to wait another hour so left without a battery. I hate that Walmart has taken over so many towns across the country and run so many local businesses out. read more

Walmart Alabama is way overpriced than other Walmarts in the area and they believe in price gouging and lying to customers saying that just because we are a small market we can charge more because of the demand of our products. Forced to give one star, zero was not an option. I have tried ten different days over the last five weeks to get an associate in the sporting goods dept, zero luck. The best I get is another associate calling over the intercom for help in sporting goods, then they walk off without saying a word (rude!!!) No kidding, 10 different (days) attempts. The last three attempts I have asked for a manger when I was leaving, and as of this last trip I still haven't been able to speak to a manager. The absolute worst WalMart I have ever visited. read more

The store was ok. They were not well stocked but it was a Monday, so I will assume they had a big weekend crowd. The cashier must have had it in for me on this Confederate Memorial Day (GA holiday). And she was Black, so I'm a not being mean....I stop her as I notice my $5 pillows ring up for $8. I said the sign read $5+? And she said WELL IT'S NOT THEY $8+. So I kindly ask her to take them off. Does something twice but my total is stills $80. Do I say you couldn't have taken them off sweetie. So she yells I TOOK THEM OFF! So I told her it would be best is she get a manager to come over and assist her azz before I loose my temper. Of course it turns out she rang up 3 pillows instead of two and over charged me for a NOS. Can I tell you that I beat she was going to keep all of that money! I will only shop here when necessary. And I will watch my receipts at all Walmart stores now. read more

The only saving grace for this review is the few cashiers I have encountered with glowing personalities. The parking lot alone is an absolute disgrace! There is trash everywhere and shopping carts are all over the parking lot. I thought there are paid employees to manage these type of things? Nobody smiles. This place makes me sad. I will make a special effort to shop in Opelika, Auburn or even Lagrange, GA just to avoid this place. read more

LESS LEANING, MORE CLEANING! This Walmart is just a short distance west off the freeway. It is off the main road (35th street) and easily seen. It is an older store but had everything that we needed. My biggest complaint was about the bathroom which was filthy. It appears that the cleaner is going in and just swishing a brush in the toilet, when the walls, doors and other surfaces are in serious need of a power washing. We are way beyond routine cleaning. I have just never seen a place so nasty and why are the doors and walls so dirty? I actually had to rest my bag on my arm while washing my hands because there were no clean surfaces. This is just unacceptable. Walmart really needs to step up and do a much better job of maintaining their restrooms. read more

Stopped in one morning as I usually do before work. I selected only 5 items to pay for. Now, I chose to utilize their self-pay, convenient "customer bag and pay" registers. Mind you, this was early in the morning very few shoppers, not much store activity. In this area I'm describing, the store always, understandably, has watchers assigned. But in my case, not only did they watch, but began bagging my 5 items, despite my saying in an audible voice, "you don't have to do that". So, when the employee was done, I asked her if she was required to do that? She indicated she wasn't, that she was just "bagging it for you". That struck me as untrue, and lame. Mainly because there were, at least, 7 other shoppers with much more than myself to pay for, yet I noticed (no one) offered to bag their selections. Something peculiar occurred that morning, and I'm still wrestling with what it may have been. As a consequence, I'm going back for observational purposes, and see if it happens again. Maybe it was a fluke, a misinterpretation on my part. Either way, I need to find out. I'll select only 5 items like before, and just see if the oddity occur once more. If it does, this time, my questions will be more intense and pointed. I'll let you know the results. read more

Picked up a boat trailer tire only to be argued with an told what I had was not a trailer rim and Good as told I was lying by 2 associates. I just want my tire change . This is a factory Ranger boat trailer with aluminum wheels I'll take my business elsewhere for sure these people just don't seem to want mine read more

The night manager "Alissa" or "Lisa" is an angel. She exemplifies what costumer service should be. This lady is amazing! She went far above and beyond with a phenomenal attitude as well as kind and professional demeanor to assist me and my wife out of a pickle.
