I have also been of a patient of NP Carol Manning. She & I go back even farther. I will always remember when I overheard Dr. K on the phone sticking up for me with a specialist. I probably would have been sent home if Dr. Knafo had not insisted that something was wrong because she knew me so well. And that I was a good patient. So she sent me for some tests that same day & I had to be hospitalized for a week. I had developed an infection from a procedure I had with that specialist. I even had to have surgery because the fever would not break. I also remember one of her doctors calling my father on a Saturday to inquire on how he was feeling. We had seen Dr. G. Loya the day before. I was impressed & touched because she was so sincere about his well being. I see Dr. K or Carol Manning every year for my well woman exam & for any health issues during the year. I have not ever had any problems with the office staff. At my last visit 2 weeks ago, I had a sinus issue, my wait time was 15 minutes, the entire visit took about 40 minutes by the time I was back to my car. I don't think that was bad. I'm not crazy about the parking though. I usually have to park in a lot for $5.00.

This practice seems to bite off more than it can chew. I've been a patience for about 3 years,…read moresince leaving home for university. Although I am a patient of Dr. Knafo, I've only spoken to her 3 of the minimum 9 times I had appointments. The other visits I was seen by two other female doctors. Now this isn't a big issue if you are going for smaller concerns like check ups and well woman exams but I had a continuous stomach issue that the lack of consistency in visits very negatively effected. I ran the same tests multiple times and explained the same symptoms/reactions to the doctors each visit and we ran in circles. I understand this is a family practice and not a specialist, but at some point it's up to the doctors to admit they don't know and refer me to someone else. It took a year of this before I broke down crying and begged for them to refer me. I would like to commend Dr. Knafo on what she is TRYING to do. When I did get to meet with her she was very caring and serious about my mental health. ( I have anxiety and depression ) Although, I believe this effected her judgement a little too much, I often felt like she wouldn't take my other physical health concerns seriously until I started taking medication as she strongly urged for me to start taking lexipro whenever I saw her. I've been doing well with my mental health, and would often express to her the reason behind my being so wound up and on the verge of tears in her office is because I was a 19 year old college student battling a mystery issue and running the same tests every visit. Making appointments is easy, everything else over the phone is hit or miss depending on if they feel like taking your call at that time.

I came to Legacy Community Health clinic in the gayborhood when it first opened, like about 9 years…read moreago. I wouldn't write a review because everything was bad. Things have changed since then. I remember I had to park on the street and walk about 3 blocks to the clinic. But now, I park in the designated parking lot and walk across the street to the clinic. I used to go to the Dashwood clinic in the Gulfton area. Because my doctor relocated to the Montrose clinic, I followed him. The staff now are more attentive and professional. The check in process is simpler and efficient. Most of services are located in the same building. I recommend this Montrose clinic than any other Legacy Community Health clinics.

I have received free Prep in many different places in the USA, and it was completely at no cost…read more(FREE) because of my income level. I visited Legacy Community Healthcare in Montrose twice for testing and eligibility (I am currently unemployed with zero income). After testing hiv negative the second time, I went downstairs to the Pharmacy at Legacy to see if I could get my Prep or a starter round of 10 pills. I was stopped at the reception desk and told that they do not do it that way here and I had to pay $20.00 to go into the pharmacy. I said that I did not have it since I have only $18.00 in my bank account . I was told to call Gilead pharmaceuticals myself to make sure everything had went through ok and that I would bereceiving my meds by FedEx or picking them up at a pharmacy near where I live For 2 weeks I have called Gilead myself and they have all of my previous records ,but, have received NO information from Legacy Healthcare in Montrose. Gilead has called Legacy with me on the line for a conference call and we continuously get answering machines to leave contact information and they will get back to us. It is going on one month and neither Gilead or I have received any calls from anyone at Legacy Healthcare in Montrose. However, I did receive a text message from Ambetter insurance billing saying that I owe $64.00+ . WHAT? It's been a month and no one has returned any calls to Gilead Pharmaceuticals or me and I have received absolutely NO Prep, and they want me to pay their bill? Gilead has sent me the enrollment form themselves and reached out again to Legacy HC Montrose and has received NO response. Gilead has recommended that I visit another public health department to start the process all over again.
