We've been here a bunch of times with friends & our dogs ! Always a great time. The pier has beautiful views. Despite the numerous trash cans, there is usually significant trash on both sides of the paved pathway.

So I've been planning to visit this area by cycling from Westchester since Fall and having scouted the route over the weekend now I have an idea what road condition I will encounter in the future bike ride. On the way to the pier, the road is a bit narrow for a two way lane and people walking to and from the pier. You have to be very careful and not drive off the asphalt road for some parts of it has no enough shoulder or set back if you will. At the end of the road is the pier which I am not sure if small boats still use this for loading/unloading. The pier is almost at the middle of mighty Hudson river and has a nice view of the MCBridge, Westchester (Greeburgh) and the Rockland County. I didn't notcied any bathrooms by the pier and there are enough parking spots and on the side of the stretch of the road I notices some benches and posted parking by/with permit. I noticed some nice restaurants by the village center and will try out some of it. The Piermont Bicycle Connection can be also found in this area. I am planning to come back again here maybe after a good snowfall amjust to get another feel and sense on how it is differ. Also looking to visit this on 3 other seasons.

The cutest little pier to walk down! This guy averages about two miles so bring your walking shoes. There's a few lots to park in for free before getting to the pier. I highly recommend doing that because all parking along the pier is permit only. It's mostly fisherman that do that anyway. So you've got some great views while walking down the pier. One side of mountainous Jersey then the other of NY. Right along the middle is the beautiful river and tappan zee bridge. It's really an amazing view. At the end there's a little roundabout and you circle your way back. There's a nice little dock where you can just sit and relax. There's also a nice little spot with a TON of info about the area. We were probably there for 15 minutes just reading it. You are allowed to drive down the pier but I don't recommend it because there's tons and tons of people walking around. You'll be going 4mph the whole time. This place is very dog friendly. Also bundle up! It's always colder by the water.

A lovely walk for a nice day... I've known of the pier for the last few years, but it wasn't until recently that I made the trip there. I went earlier on a Sunday early afternoon and the town was already busy. Lots of people enoying some outdoor dining. There is also a Green Market there on select weekend mornings which seemed nice. There are a few areas to park, but the regulation sigsn threw me off...I ended up parking in a lot marked Parking Lot D where there were no signs. You can use the address of "100 Gair Street" if you plan on visiting via GPS. I also noticed people parking and headed toward the pier, which was when I fingured parking there would be safe. I believe there are a few spots closer to the Pier path but those were marked "Reserved" From parking lot D to the tip of the pier is about a mile, so be sure to have comfortable shoes on. The first half of the walk is a wide paved path through tall grass on the right and apartments/housing to the left. The second half offers some lovely views of the Hudson river and Tappan Zee bridge. The paved pier was large but no fisherman there that day. A lot of people walking, jogging, runnng and biking though...the 2-mile trek (back and forth) is perfect for all of these activities. There are lots of benches all along the path to sit, relax and take in the views. There is a building toward the end of the pier, which looks sort of like a museum with information on the outside walls, but the doors were closed at the time. Overall it was a lovely visit. A half day may include visiting the green market, visiting the pier and maybe even grabbing a bite in town.

What a shame that this place doesn't have more reviews! My friend and I decided to drive to a nearby park because we were on break from our classes and we definitely do not regret being little explorers. First off, the area is very beautiful and peaceful and Piermont has always been known to be one of the beautiful towns in Rockland County. Second, this is the perfect place to get away from any noisy areas in Rockland and enjoy a serene environment. I was actually mentioning to my friend that this park is the perfect place for a first date and getting to know someone because it does have a sweet, romantic vibe to it. I really do wonder how it looks at night overlooking the Tappan-Zee Bridge. I put a few ideas in my own head and I'll most likely be back for more :) I love discovering new places not too far from home. Sweet!

Nice relaxing spot in this little town. My friend and I drove up here yesterday just to get out of the city to hang and wait for the sunset. Tons of locals running, walking their dogs and fishing. There are benches all along too, including some makeshift ones. I wonder how many first dates have happened on them? It ended up being a lovely sunset. BTW -- you're not allowed to park along the pier -- it's by permit only. Instead, park along the marked spaces at the beginning or end. The pier closes at 9! I'd also recommend leaving a little before then -- the tide went up on the road while we were driving back. If you have a low riding car, that wouldn't be fun.

This place was amaZing!

We found this place by accident today. What an amazing place. You need a permit to park if you drive out. We parked at the entrance and walked all the way out. The best part? I could bring my pup the whole way. There's even a dog run which requires registration. The views were amazing and it wAs a peaceful nature walk. The path goes About half way across the Hudson River. It was about 2.5 ish miles from the entrance to the end and back. Great dog walk. We will be back again.

Very beautiful pier that I always love to walk. Tons of parking, fishing spots galore, and at the end it's a nice view of the river

My home away from home! My family and I have been coming here since before I was born…read more To add a little context to that, I am a Freemason in the state of NY. So was my maternal grandfather. We are both a part of Lessing Lodge 608, which is a member of an umbrella organization that owns the park and the now defunct nursing home across the street. So I may be a little biased when reviewing this place. Across the street was a nursing home for many years, then it was a college dorm, now sadly its falling apart. So this review will be for the active park side. During the winter months, this park is closed, but come late spring to warmish fall, this place is hopping! It gets rented out most weekends to anyone looking to use the park. The park itself hosts its annual Traubenfest the first weekend every Oktober. The individual lodges that make up the umbrella organization "own" the little booths/pavilions scattered throughout. They are responsible for the maintenance of them. All in all a very unique location! It is a great spot to have a large picnic or party with thousands of people.

This is a great event filled with German cuisine (bratwurst, potato pancakes, etc.,) and let's not forget tons of beer. Beers are typically about $6 per cup (about 12 ounces) but you can bring your own been stein and they'll fill it to the brim for a slightly higher cost. There is no exchange of money with the vendors at this event - you have to purchase tickets at the entryway which double as cash. The cool thing is that if you under-spend, you can get your money back. The local police do a nice job of facilitating the parking situation and everyone is in a genuinely good mood. There is dancing and entertainment for the adults, with a bouncy house and blow-up slide for the kiddies (not free of charge...my friend learned that the hard way...her son owned the ticket lady about $10 for repeated slide rides). Ooooh...he was fresh! Too bad they don't do this every weekend in the fall.
