Views of the Tappan Zee bridge and Hudson River are unavoidable which is a very good thing. Decent amount of walking paths and benches, in addition to the dedicated picnic area. Plenty of parking although it is paid via the Tarrytown parking app. Playgrounds are a bit dated but in great shape. Everything has soft, spongy ground around it. Good variety for different ages too. Haven't done the splash pad yet because it's winter but it is pretty sizable. Good amount of kids around here without it being overwhelming. Maybe not the most built up park in the area, but my toddler loves it and so do I.

Admission is Free but there is a cost for parking Our Experience: we enjoyed spending the afternoon outside on this gorgeous spring day walking along the river walk and playing on the playground. The walk was absolutely stunning and the boys enjoyed walking along the path, exploring the lookout area, seeing the boats in the water and the airplanes/helicopters in the sky. Hands down my favorite part of the day. The playground was adorable with two separate sections designed for kids of all ages. While the equipment was a bit outdated, I loved that it had that soft type ground underneath it to (sort of) pad a fall. Both boys really enjoyed their time there. There is a covered picnic area so feel free to bring food and drinks! There is also a restaurant right there in the park as well as walkable restaurants in the downtown area conveneintly located close by. It was a gorgeous spring day and there were ZERO crowds with only a handful of people walking the path and only one other family on the playground. I was shocked at how quiet it was but thrilled to have the place basically to ourselves. Will go back?: Absolutely YES! Lots of spots for kayaking, including a place you can rent from when the weather is nice. Path through the woods along the water is great for walkers, runners and bikers. Could also do the other path that heads closer to town/houses. Not too uncommon to see wildlife either (ie: deer, geese, turtles). They also have ice skating in winter when the lakes freeze over. Parking is pretty easy and in a few spots. As other notes, no bathroom here which is the biggest issue. Otherwise with how accessible this is, it's a gem.

Pierson is also a nice park that has some tennis and basketball courts there, but back to Losee Park. I returned this weekend to take some photos of the bridge and sunset. I was pleasantly surprised to find the actual park (Losee). There are a few large parking lots. The signs posted prior to entry have a bunch of rules and regulations about parking, but weekends seem to be free for all to park. There were a two baseball fields there. I noticed there were a few cookouts going on there as well. An overall great experience. I left just as the sun was going down, but I hope to return for some evening pictures of the bridge. The views of the Hudson River and the Tappan Zee bridge are spectacular, especially at sunset. I also had a tired fiance and 4 year old, so I did not get to explore much, I will be sure to do so and report back once I have done so. As with any park near water, be mindful of the bugs, you will get bitten.

Amazing place! Such a great park…read more I was looking for a place with water views and found the Scenic Hudson Park. It was such an incredible find! The park is large with lots of benches and space to sit or lay right on the water. There is lots of shade; there are many, many trees here. There is a new basketball court, flowers, benches, places to play and lay in the grass, etc. I love this place! It was quiet and refreshing. I would most definitely come back here!

It has a very accessible trail that is paved and allowed you to walk along the Hudson River. The trail was peppered with benches. I saw the lighthouse from afar. I didn't see anyone walking out to it, so I am assuming access was unavailable the day I was there. The restrooms weren't open. They provided port-o-potties. I'm not sure if it was as due to the festival or whether it was a common occurrence. There was also a nice children's play area. In order to give it a more representative review, I will have to return at a time when it is just serving as a park with no special events.

My visit to Untermyer Gardens Conservancy this year was a highlight. It is such a majestic place…read more Although our trip was short, we made the best of it. The weather was absolutely beautiful. It was a crowded day, and the traffic entering and leaving the Gardens was intense. For anyone who enjoys natural beauty and has a whole day to relax and explore these grounds, you will absolutely love it. The fact that this garden is free is also a great gift to the community. One drawback is that you can't bring your fur babies.
