A much needed change of scenery brought me to Astoria, which is how I stumbled upon Zikos. A blessing in disguise? I think so! It took less than 24 hours from walking into the office to signing a lease. Thiago was an amazing broker who explained everything very carefully, was attentive, and made the process incredibly easy. I even got to meet the landlord face-to-face at the lease signing. What I appreciate the most is that this isn't some huge management company, but rather, you really feel like it is family owned and they care about the Astoria neighborhood very much. I asked him if he had any pictures of the apt because they do not appear in the post when I viewed on my phoen. I double checked now on my laptop and there are no pictures for the listing. He bailed an hour before after I'd taken off work and was already on my way. We rescheduled for 2 days later. The morning of he asked me to meet him at 6 instead of 6:30. I agreed and came at 6, and he didn't arrive until after 6:30. After touring the unit, I told him I'd like to move forward with applying simply asked him "How do I receive the application? By text or email?" To which he responded to my face "I don't know you"...as if I was just a random person off the street who wandered in? Did not answer my question and I'm left without an application, so I ultimately decided to move on and work with another broker at a different company. Unnecessarily rude and extremely unprofessional. It made me feel embarrassed to even express interest in working with this company. There are so many other great brokers in this area who are not shady or rude, it's just not worth going through them.
