Our daughter's bracelet broke in less than 2 days. Kindly requested a refund and got severe attitude. Cashier insinuated and insisted we did something to damage it when my kid did not wear it to school or the shower. We even put it on her non dominant hand to encourage its longevity and the cheap clasp just gave out. I've had jewelry from this location that's lasted me over 8 years so this piece was definitely faulty. When I got to the counter I wasn't even greeted. I was just stared at like I was doing something out of the ordinary. I had to start the conversation. She led the return with "I don't normally take damaged" items however I explained we even had the protection plan and were not interested in coming every 2 days for a fix/replacement. Take care of your customers and they will come back to you pagoda. Safe to say that's the end of the pagoda era for us because we've never been treated like this in all our years coming here. The young lady who sold them to us, however, was extremely kind and knowledgeable. Take notes from that nice employees manners and move forward with kindness. Insinuating we damaged the bracelet was the marker for me that this place is under absolutely horrific management. I hope this matter is taken to the highest of management OUTSIDE this location. I was 100% willing to swap items or take a replacement of some kind. But given the way she addressed us, I decided to cut ties. What a shame they are under this kind of management. ADDITIONALLY: she refused to give me MY original receipt. To which I had to take pictures of because she refused to give it up. Keep your merchant copy and customers keep their copy. BEWARE! This booth was just not it , they have pretty stuff but careful trying to return items here. They seemed very upset and had a bad attitude because I was doing a return and not substitute the item. I payed with Apple pay because I had lost my debit card, i was told they couldn't do anything for me since I didn't have a debit card I told them I used Apple Pay not a card, I had my receipt, my id and the payment method I used... they eventually out of the blue told me they could send a check home that would arrive in 10 business days or store credit only. They sell you a warranty and the when it's time to use the warranty, you're told that a manager must be present or they have no record of a warranty. I thought about getting my ears pierced in December and now that it's 2014, new year, time for a new thing! I got my ears pierced here yesterday. So far no problems :) The guy helping me out was really friendly and nice. Haha he was willing to answer all my questions about earrings since I felt like I had no idea what I was doing. Picked a pair of piercing earrings, signed a consent form, paid, and then *bam bam" my ears were pierced! It does hurt a bit, like someone pinching your ears really hard, but nothing too bad. Maybe more like getting a shot from the doctors [will that scare people away?] They do use a piercing gun. If you are particularly paranoid or want things to be super clean maybe going to a nice body tattoo/piercing shop will be more for you or if you want different piercings than the standard lobes OR if you want bigger holes, maybe checking out a piercing shop will be better BUT I hear they are way more expensive. I got small black studs with a little silver border and the piercing is free with the piercing earrings so it cost $35 for both ears, pretty darn cheap! I took my 6 month old daughter here to get her ears pierced. Sarah helped us, She was friendly and knowledgable. The whole process was very easy and faster than I expected. I'm totally satisfied with my experience and results. I will definitely refer friends and family to Pagoda. 10 minutes back i had the most TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE ever. Manager of store was not available and there was a very RUDE lady Tiffany. She kept of telling that she cant help because she is not from this store. Manager asked her to be at her store and so she is here. What BS. Then why is she standing as a representative on that store. When i said this she started shouting at me non stop. SHE Was SHOUTING as if i did something wrong asking for help. Everyone was looking at us. She created a scene and told me another customer also came with same request and and didnt helped her either as this is not her store so she cant. I really liked the manager and she pierced my baby's ears too and thats the reason i keep on coming back to this place. But from now onwards i will never be back here. Excellent service. Very clean. The staff is very competent and friendly. I had to get new holes put in my ears or give up on piercing altogether. I felt sorry for the girl who waited on me. Her previous customers were having their baby daughter's ears pierced. As the mother held the child the father and grandmother were allover the place telling the sales person what to do, and they were both moving around taking pictures. They were both outside and inside the counter with cameras and cell phones taking pictures. The father was very bossy. But the sales person was so patient. She was super nice and knew her products. Took my daughter to get her ears pierced and the holes were WAY off. Their "solution" to the problem was to try and re-pierce the one that was too high. My daughter was still terrified from the first time so there was no way she would let them do it again (and I didn't trust them at that point). We had to take both earrings out and I asked for a refund. They said they can only give me store credit, but not a refund, even though it was their fault for messing up on the piercing! I am very upset at how unprofessional they were and feel terrible that my daughter had to go through all of that for nothing. Please stay away from this place. read more

The first child is always an experiment. She got her ears pierced at 3 months, everything was boiled, sterilized, laundered twice, etc ... the second child .. eh ... didn't pierce her ears, she wanted a pacifier I'd take one from the Walmart shelf and shove it in her mouth ... thank God I didn't have more than two children, can you imagine? Anyway, at age 10 my second daughter decided to buck up and get her ears pierced. My eldest, who at this point has about 10 or so piercings which i blame myself for getting her ears done at 3 months, convinced her little sis to get them done. She also told her sibling that Piercing Pagoda numbs the ears and will pierce both ears at the same time. Sadly, only one of those statements were true. The two people working at the kiosk were extremely friendly and cooperative. My eldest snuck over and told them that her sister expected her ears to be numb, so they pretended that the alcohol pad had a numbing agent. After wavering back and forth, a little teary eyed, my little girl closed her eyes, squeezed my hand into numbness and had both of her ears pierced. She then said, "wow, that was it?" I was very appreciative to the two people working there for their patience. Also, they have a good selection of earrings, belly rings, etc . So 4 stars for selection and 5 stars for customer service, but I can only give a max of 5. read more

Went and got my third piercing done here and they were very helpful and patient after getting it done I went to put in my second piercing to see how'd it look (got it done at Claire's before) and it looked horrible the second didn't Aline with my other two piercings and it was way too high up so they helped fix it and re-pierced my second one and turned out so much better and they were alined how it should've been in the first place thanks to Cindy, Sierra, and Talitha for their help read more

The workers there were very nice and helpful, however something went wrong when they went to pierce my ear and I started bleeding everywhere (and got blood on my white North Face jacket) because the gun didn't go all the way through the first try, which needless to say hurt A LOT and ruined my experience. read more

I tired to get my child's ears pierced at the pagoda in Escondido. I informed the sales woman I didn't need the insurance for the earrings and that I didn't want the alcohol either. I was told the solution (alcohol) came with the earrings but that it still was a dollar more. No, I didn't want it and to remove the charge. She wouldn't so I left. I am thinking they must make a lot of money on the insurance and alcohol? I wouldn't recommend this business again. read more

They were very nice. I got my second hole for my lobe done here and they were very reassuring and patient, making sure I had everything the way I wanted it. It was a little pricey but that was mostly on me because I chose one of the more expensive earrings to get pierced with. Overall, I recommend going here, they definitely know what they're doing and the ladies that worked with me were super sweet. The lady that pierced me did a great job and I'm very happy with the outcome! read more

I'm going to have to agree with Janet J. This place is crap! I too tried to exchange a piece of body within the 30 day time frame. The piece of jewelry was deformed unusable and the idiot manager wouldn't take it back because it was body jewelry. Hum lets see I CAN'T use it it's defective, but she didn't care. They apperantly don't give a crap about customer service theyre just out to make a buck. I would have been happy to exchange it but she wouldn't even do that so I'm stuck with something I can't use. read more
