Located in the Emagine Theater strip mall on Michigan Ave. a couple of miles East of downtown Saline, it sports 4 of the latest simulators. I love that these simulators tee up your ball automatically...the only simulator that I've found in the area that does so. X-Golf also has a full bar and some bar snacks available although we usually walk right next door and snag some outstanding sushi from Biwako Sushi. We have always found the staff here to be extremely helpful in setting up the simulators to your choice from around 25 of the most storied courses in North America along with selected courses in Japan and Korea. I also noticed that X-Golf pipes in some great tunes on their house sound system as background music...Nothing like a solid 7-iron to the rhythm of a little 1989's Free Fallin' by Tom Petty. 4-stars.

I found the pin placements today to be especially demanding and a true test of my ability to read greens. The real beauty of the Hudson Mills track gets rolling on the back 9 with two long, back-to-back Par 5s that cut through thick and towering hardwoods. Back there, I could have sworn I was playing "Up North". I also want to toss an appreciative shout out to everyone associated with this public golf course. To the person, everyone I interacted with from the clubhouse manager to the snack bar gal to the course ranger to the grounds crew was genuinely friendly and courteous. The tone set at Hudson Mills definitely enhanced the enjoyment of my round. I like the way they roll here!

Value: I priced out options from a few area venues before choosing Fox Hills. The menu of options and food are straightforward and good value. It's not cheap, but the quality for money made it a good fit for me. Not having for worry about separate vendors and invoices made it simple. I've planned a fair number of large events, and this is a bigger deal than most newbies think. Atmosphere: The venue is classy enough to host a formal reception and comfortable enough for business casual. I felt comfortable having my group of business owners use all of the facilities. The view from the rooms is beautiful. Golf: With multiple courses to choose from, this really makes Fox Hills stand out compared to the local completion. There is a scenic course for every skill level. Overall: I've hosted events at multiple venues, including Top Golf. While I've had good experiences elsewhere, Fox Hills checks a lot of boxes and I would recommend them to a friend. (The food is way better than Top Golf and I know a lot of people think Top Golf is pretty good) One local competitor, Saint John's, is undergoing a massive overhaul and rebranding. He was so responsive to all of my emails (and I sent several LOL). He has done many weddings here and you can tell as he really knows his stuff. He is on top of everything and was so helpful from the time we booked through the day of. I even had guests coming up to me at the reception saying "I wish we would have had a Bob at our wedding!" or "Everyone needs a Bob!" I can honestly say I did not feel stressed at all that day because Bob helped to keep everything on schedule and dealt with the vendors. Everything was perfect. The venue itself is beautiful and very accommodating and you can't beat the price packages. I absolutely love how everything turned out.
