We've been seeing Dr. Shadfar for the past 7 years and he has seen all 3 of my kids. I have always appreciated the care he shows my children (and sometimes to me too) when they are anxious or afraid. He always has time to talk me through whatever is happening and listens to my concerns and thoughts. His office is very child friendly and he is so kind, friendly, and patient with my kids. Appointments are easy to make and his office staff are very well organized and efficient with billing and paperwork. We have received exceptional service and care at this office and would not consider any other pediatric dentist. I would see him too if I could!

We used this dental office for our children's care for the last few years, but our recent…read moreexperience with the Persian-speaking receptionist and the Pediatric dentist was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Both were shockingly rude and dismissive. After our second-to-last visit, the receptionist spoke very disrespectfully to my wife. We chose not to complain at the time, hoping it was an isolated incident. However, during our most recent visit, the dentist himself treated us in the exact same rude manner. It made us regret ever trusting this clinic. To the receptionist: Your role is to help clients, not speak down to them. This is Canada, where respectful and professional service is expected. If your employer hasn't addressed this, the public will. To the dentist: You call yourself a professional, but your lack of empathy and communication skills say otherwise. My wife left the clinic in tears because of how you spoke to her. No one should be treated that way and you have no right to speak disrespectfully to anyone. Its just a shame that a dentist like you doesn't even have a basic communication skill. To the public: Avoid this place. The staff are unprofessional and lack basic respect for clients. If I could give zero stars, I would. We do not recommend this clinic to anyone.

The amount of work my daughter has had on her teeth she should be scared to go to the dentist. She loves seeing Dr. Diya and the hygienists. I can't rave enough about this place. Dr. Diya's caring personality does not go unnoticed. Thank you for just being you.

We brought in our 5 year-old son for a consultation to fix his 8 cavities (yes, we're not good…read morebrushers/flossers) after his general dentist said that he's not experienced enough with young kids. We brought in X-rays, and Dr. Chander maybe spent a minute with us telling what he would do - fix all either with laughing gas or send us to another specialist to fix all at one time under general anesthetic and then he left. We then spent the next 10 minutes talking to the manager about payment options. When I questioned why we couldn't ask for a treatment plan without laughing gas or general anesthetic, the answer I got was, "well, the doctor probably thought he's uncooperative". Since we were uncomfortable with the treatment plan offered, we consulted yet another dentist, and there, the dentist spent 10-15 minutes during the consultation meeting check each tooth over and also testing our son's patience in the chair, needless to say, we went to this dentist to fix his teeth. I have no problems with dental practices needing to make money (especially if they have a fancy waiting room and staff that don't hate you when you walk in). I can also rationalize exceptionally good dentists charging above what is recommended by the provincial dental pay scale (they also will demand the difference between what your insurance pays and what they charge even for a consultation), but what I have a problem with is when a PEDIATRIC dental practice has no desire to determine a child's comfort level in the chair BEFORE recommending a treatment plan. Our son has seen quite a few doctors and specialists and has had a few exams with various machines, and the conclusion after all these exams is how calm he is - in fact, where he got his teeth fixed, he was even used as the example by the parent of a screaming child of how to behave at a dentist's office. Boy, this has turned into a very long review, but we saw the positive reviews from other patients and thought we might be able to get the same - a meaningful consultation with a pediatric dental specialist that would know how to deal with children without having to resort to rendering them dazed and confused. We didn't get that, and in fact, the only thing we did get was a bad taste in our mouths.

While, yes, this will make the entire procedure more expensive (a lot more expensive) I feel very secure in the fact that I'm getting it done by people with a lot more experience. I'm in the final stages of having it done and am very happy with the results. Getting an implant is a time consuming experience and requires a number of rather invasive bits of work on your jaw. I could not believe how well they did in that I had less pain, less swelling from having a steel peg drilled into my jaw than I did getting regular fillings elsewhere. Everyone is very, very kind and very patient. I was able to ask all my stupid questions and they put me at ease with their answers. So again, it is going to cost more but you're going to be much happier with the result.

She's gentle, kind, patient and effective. She's perfect is all I have to say. The current receptionist however, is very rude and impatient. She's the one with her hair in a bun and never smiles. She cuts me off whenever I try to ask a question. And acts like she can't be bothered. She's also on her phone texting. In my most recent experience, I witnessed her yelling at an older patient cause she walked in without her face mask. I understand Covid-19 protocols are still in place in medical settings but the way she yelled at the patient seemed very unacceptable. All in all, the Dentist and his Hygienists are amazing. The one receptionist sours the experience. She's always in a bad mood, she's condescending and rude towards patients. The one time, she was in a good mood and was obnoxious was when she was laughing very loudly with a male patient about hangovers. Very unprofessional.
