Both were shockingly rude and dismissive. After our second-to-last visit, the receptionist spoke very disrespectfully to my wife. We chose not to complain at the time, hoping it was an isolated incident. However, during our most recent visit, the dentist himself treated us in the exact same rude manner. It made us regret ever trusting this clinic. To the receptionist: Your role is to help clients, not speak down to them. This is Canada, where respectful and professional service is expected. If your employer hasn't addressed this, the public will. To the dentist: You call yourself a professional, but your lack of empathy and communication skills say otherwise. My wife left the clinic in tears because of how you spoke to her. No one should be treated that way and you have no right to speak disrespectfully to anyone. Its just a shame that a dentist like you doesn't even have a basic communication skill. To the public: Avoid this place. The staff are unprofessional and lack basic respect for clients. If I could give zero stars, I would. We do not recommend this clinic to anyone.

The amount of work my daughter has had on her teeth she should be scared to go to the dentist. She loves seeing Dr. Diya and the hygienists. I can't rave enough about this place. Dr. Diya's caring personality does not go unnoticed. Thank you for just being you.

We brought in our 5 year-old son for a consultation to fix his 8 cavities (yes, we're not good…read morebrushers/flossers) after his general dentist said that he's not experienced enough with young kids. We brought in X-rays, and Dr. Chander maybe spent a minute with us telling what he would do - fix all either with laughing gas or send us to another specialist to fix all at one time under general anesthetic and then he left. We then spent the next 10 minutes talking to the manager about payment options. When I questioned why we couldn't ask for a treatment plan without laughing gas or general anesthetic, the answer I got was, "well, the doctor probably thought he's uncooperative". Since we were uncomfortable with the treatment plan offered, we consulted yet another dentist, and there, the dentist spent 10-15 minutes during the consultation meeting check each tooth over and also testing our son's patience in the chair, needless to say, we went to this dentist to fix his teeth. I have no problems with dental practices needing to make money (especially if they have a fancy waiting room and staff that don't hate you when you walk in). I can also rationalize exceptionally good dentists charging above what is recommended by the provincial dental pay scale (they also will demand the difference between what your insurance pays and what they charge even for a consultation), but what I have a problem with is when a PEDIATRIC dental practice has no desire to determine a child's comfort level in the chair BEFORE recommending a treatment plan. Our son has seen quite a few doctors and specialists and has had a few exams with various machines, and the conclusion after all these exams is how calm he is - in fact, where he got his teeth fixed, he was even used as the example by the parent of a screaming child of how to behave at a dentist's office. Boy, this has turned into a very long review, but we saw the positive reviews from other patients and thought we might be able to get the same - a meaningful consultation with a pediatric dental specialist that would know how to deal with children without having to resort to rendering them dazed and confused. We didn't get that, and in fact, the only thing we did get was a bad taste in our mouths.

Over the years some small cavities but they have been dealt with very effectively and with no pain. That part of the visit was fine the problem was with the night guard. This is a replacement and was expecting a half hour for the molds to be done. It took 5 min. The cement in both the upper and lower mold had not dried yet when removed which was just the start of the issue. Since they weren't dry they had to be shimmied off my teeth which is puzzling since the whole point of the mold is to make an accurate impression. I received my night guard in a week. The colour was what I ordered but the logo was not. This isn't a biggie but after being given a choice of pictures I would expect that to be what I get. Now for the best part... when the dentist arrived she fitted the guard into my mouth, with some effort. After using a night guard previously I am quite familiar how it's supposed to fit and what good quality work looks like. This one sucked. One final complaint, after asking if the guard was covered with my insurance before this whole process started and I was told they would check. After a few days I phoned to make sure they had confirmed coverage they said yes. I was led to believe this procedure was covered and it wasn't. All it takes is a phone call and this just wasn't done. I tried to return the night guard the same day because of not only receiving a product that wasn't of very good quality or as advertised, but also because of being mislead about the coverage. Unfortunately they closed 2 hours early so I could not return it. I returned the following day and the receptionist said she didn't know how to reverse the charge. What? This place really deserves a one but they have a children's play area with a couple of toys along with a TV in the waiting room which adds an extra. The combination of these two features is needed when waiting with a toddler. Never mind I took a star away, back down to one. The addition of features not related to the service i received shouldn't factor into the rating.
