Dr Monty did unauthorized work and overcharged me. I finally paid the bill because they are completely unreasonable. Explanation below. I went to Dr Monty because of good Yelp reviews. My cleaning and initial exam were fine. Everything was explained to me. The girl at the front desk reviewed my insurance and told me I could get x amount of work done this year, and that she would make a second appointment in the new year to finish up the work. I signed a request to my insurer, which was to be pre approved for $650 worth of work.. WAY UNDER MY LIMIT. I went in the following week. When the appointment was finished I was presented with a bill of $1400 (this plus my initial exam and x-rays put me over my yearly insurance). I question it, and disputed it, and they said too bad the work was done. A week later I was sent a bill for everything over my insurance limit. I went back into Dr Monty's office looking for answers; $1400 is large jump from $650. Again, the girl at the front said too bad. It turns out they did ALL the work SUGGESTED (not authorized) in my chart, most of which was minor work I did not need to have done. I had no choice but to pay this bill as it was being threatened to be sent to collections. read more

Have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Dehghani and the staff at M2. Everyone has always been very courteous and friendly. The office is in a beautiful location. Beyond that, the interior is very clean and it is evident great measures are taken to ensure cleanliness between the rotation of patients. Moreover they are always very accommodating in scheduling. I appreciate that Dr. Dehghani and staff always keep me informed about what I can expect next during my cleaning or procedures. Giving a heads up that something might pinch, or to expect a feeling of pressure or vibration is nice so there are no surprises. Additionally, everyone's calm demeanour and positive attitudes in the room help in making a visit to the dentist much more tolerable. Dr. Dehghani is very knowledgeable, patient and gentle. i have extreme dental anxiety and this is the only dentist in my adult life i feel okay with ... she is friendly, professional and has yet to cause me pain (and i just had a root canal today) ... her location is great, sitting in the chair overlooking coal harbour is nice ... the receptionist and the techs are equally friendly ... she also charges fair prices as i do no have insurance and i have been pleasantly surprised at the cost so far ... read more

Dental Cleaning is good, but boy those receptionists are pushy! They keep calling and calling you until you book an appointment and if you want to cancel your appointment they continue to call you until you make another one. You really have to think twice before you go there. Dr Monica will try to suck every penny out of your pocket. That is the real deal. If you really don't care about money, then she can do the job for you as long as it is a small basic filling job, otherwise you are just risking your teeth. I had my first and last filling with her as I was replacing an old filling and she touched the tooth nerve during the cleaning of the decay. Then I had a horrible pain and she told me two days later when I came back to the clinic, I think you will need a root canal ! I was shocked because she never said that before and I don't think my case needed a root canal before. So my advice avoid her if you can. read more

Dr. Monty's office cancelled my appointment without notifying me and when I showed up at the clinic the staff made me feel like I was not a valued customer. This was my second visit to the clinic to have a cracked tooth fixed. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

This is the worst dentist I have ever visited. She has made going to the dentist something I am now afraid to do despite my new dentist being wonderful. She is disinterested and tries to push unnecessary procedures like teeth whitening, unnecessary fillings, etc. and my husband and I had only been there for a few visits. I had gone in as my back tooth was really bothering me. She performed a crown on me and it was not done correctly. I complained to her, made repeated calls and went to the clinic to complain, but she insisted that there was not an issue and that it would take me a few days to get used it. Before I could visit another dentist the crown broke and the bone fractured all the way up to just below my eye socket. I had to pay a specialist almost $8000 to fix it as it was not covered by insurance. I found out that the crown was in fact too high and all the pressure from it caused the fracture!!!!! My husband had a bad feeling about her from the get go and refused all her recommendations and only had the cleaning performed. On the few occasions that I saw her all she wanted to talk about was her extra curricular activities instead of listening to any questions I had about my teeth. Trust me if you want a serious dentist who is knowledgeable go somewhere else. One visit and you will see just how unprofessional she is. read more
