The hot tub was great with how cold it was outside.

Absolutely loved my stay at Pier B! My husband and I were in Duluth doing some house hunting and brought my brother along because he used to live in the area. First of all, the rooms are beautiful, as was the view. We loved being in a room with not just beds but a few comfy chairs and a desk as well. The shower was HOT, which I absolutely loved. Lots of space to put clothes away and lots of towels and pillows. We were able to use the hot tub and that was super fun, as was the indoor pool. We dined at the restaurant both mornings we were there. Absolutely get the French toast. And we hung out in the bar and had awesome service to Lexie who had us laughing the whole night. We can't wait to come back!

Spent our Thursday night at the hotel resort. It was very quiet and not quite busy. Staff were attentive and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although the bed was hard it was pleasant. We had no problems with the room or noise level. I would recommend to anyone wanting to spend the night or weekend away from the cities. A lot of amenities and outdoor activities that are available.

Great hotel to stay at, especially with kids. Feels safe and there is a lot to do at and around the hotel

We went here for a small holiday get together with 5 of us. We had our little cocker spaniel with us and it was December, cold and windy. We found that the resort would allow us to have a window seat inside, but not in the restaurant but we could order from the Silo restaurant and they delivered our food to us at the table in the courtyard inside where we could see the Bentleyville lights. It was a very memorable time and so festive and nicely decorated. We will do this again next year:) Thank you Pier B Resort

First and foremost, the resort is dog friendly which made us choose this place with a one time charge of $ 60.00 pet charge. Pros: -Pedal bikes which we spent a lot of time doing and cruising around on. --Great workout and get to peddle all around the resort. -Fire pits and tables- two big bonfires and 3 + fire pit tables. -Complimentary smore kits each night. - Clean rooms - Restaurant on site (if you choose) - Indoor pool -Outdoor hot tub - Scenic grounds and well kept - Close enough walk to canal park -Dog treats, toys, bandanas, waste bags -Friendly staff - Mini fridge in room - Complimentary newspapers, magazines -Updated decor Cons: - 4pm check in which is late in my opinion, but they did get us in around 2. - Cleaning service you have to schedule (not a biggie) - Restaurant prices are expensive. - Pricey -a lot of the dates are always booked. -Stains on bedspreads which give me the creeps- Thanks Dateline NBC! Other: -Ballrooms -Close to canal park (10 min walk) - Free parking -Boat Slip -Paddle boats -Scenery Pet floor is on the second floor. Most people pick up after themselves, the rooms are clean and don't smell like pets. Would definitely stay again!

Nice hotel but we were right next to a door that led to wedding venue. There were 2 weddings the first 2 nights and on our last night there were kids playing soccer in the hallway after 10pm. Loved that it is dog friendly.

We have stayed all over in Duluth at all price points. This wasn't the nicest, but we enjoyed being in a different part of town. Great area away from busy Canal Park, but close enough to take a pretty walk over. Neat to be by docks and boats and on the harbor side of Lake Superior. We would stay here again as we can bring our dog. That is priceless.

It was my first time staying at Pier B Resort and it was a high quality experience. This resort is a bit secluded from the rest of Duluth and was surrounded by manufacturing sites. You definitely get a great view of the Aerial Lift Bridge and is conveniently next to Canal Park. They offer amenities such as the fire pits, hot tub, free bikes, and equipment for outdoor activity (ping pong, basketball, badminton, etc.) My family really enjoyed the free s'mores kits and had so much fun making s'mores while listening to live music. We didn't get an opportunity to try their food, but it looked very busy! The only thing is, I am not too sure if it gets foggy often in Duluth, but I paid extra for a better view and it was foggy 90% of the time. Could barely see a thing! But overall, it was such a great time for my family and I. The room and resort were very clean, although I would always recommend wiping everything twice! Also, the shower did not have a shower curtain and it was very open.. the water splashed everywhere

A dog friendly hotel in a great location for Duluth visitors. We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Pier B. Great amount of parking, fabulous décor inside and out, immediately noted the convenience of the hotel location to popular things to do (the aquarium, canal park, train museum, etc.). Also, all of the staff were so lovely. They were so kind to us and our son and gave our dog lots of attention. They have a doggie station in the lobby with treats, doggy bags, bandanas and tennis balls. For people, the hotel offers a few treats throughout the day. At one point, they put out a large tray of cookies for guests and later in the evening, they provide smores fixins which you can make at their fire pits behind the hotel overlooking the harbor. Everywhere we looked in this hotel was always neat and clean. The room was perfect for our stay. Our son had a great first hotel experience and our pupper was thrilled he could join us instead of being left at home. We will absolutely stay here again for a future North Short getaway :)

Lovely, clean and modern. Classy enough for a romantic getaway but casual enough to bring the kids. The rooms are clean, spacious and have comfortable beds. The rooms on the lakeside of the hotel have amazing views and all the rooms have large windows to let in lots of light. The only downside is on summer weekends there's usually very loud concerts next door and you'll hear it all if you're in a room that faces that way.

Absolutely recommend. The view of the port and bridge fireside with a drink in hand. downside, drinks at the bar are weak. Old fashioned looked like. 1oz pour or less. The food was 6 out of 10, I ordered the New York strip that they grill on their fire pit kitchen and it was cooked with too high a heat. The outside was well done and the inside was warm rare. The flavor came solely from the herb butter, which was excellent. Entire staff was exceptional. Oh oh oh the chocolate cake was also excellent. Not overly sweet and yet rich chocolate flavor.

The website is clear: the cabins are clean, spare, with some couches and/or easy chairs depending on the cabin, with a simple but entirely adequate kitchen. Really, it's all about the lake. We stayed in a pet friendly Lake Home Guest Room, and the room itself was nice. It had a queen bed, a twin bed, a small refrigerator, a microwave, and a big bathroom. One thing to note is that the entrance to the neighboring guest room is right next to your door. We were lucky the first night and had no neighbors, but the second night we did and my dog barked at every footstep she heard. Next time, out of respect for our neighbors (and to give our dog more space) we'd probably opt for a pet friendly cabin instead. One nice thing about the guestroom is that you do have a view of the lake. Unfortunately, the restaurant was just okay. We ordered takeout for both dinner and breakfast, and while it was fine, nothing really stood out. I was really looking forward to using the pool, hot tub, and sauna. Sadly, the pool was closed during our stay. The hot tub was open, but I couldn't figure out how to keep the bubbles on, which was a bit of a letdown. The lodge does seem to offer great amenities like bonfire pits and s'mores, which we were excited about. Unfortunately, they weren't out while we were there. I know these are weather dependent, but the weather didn't seem that bad while we were there. The staff were incredible, everyone from the front desk to the restaurant were nice and accommodating to any request we needed.

However, the beach and boat rentals were still open. I fell in love with the campground. Our site was incredible, enough mature pines that you could hang a hammock and shade was sufficient with plentiful sun. A few sites seemed a little tight and two faced each other, perfect for camping with friends. There was a beautiful cool breeze that blew off the lake that felt like heaven after the blistering heat in northern Illinois. The owners were great. They are friendly, helpful and will do whatever they can to make your stay better. The campground is located on one of the bigger lakes in the immediate area and you could look into the lake near shore and see bluegill. The pontoon boat we rented was priced very affordable.
