There are tons of different seating options from indoor bar or deck bar, indoor dining room, outdoor dining deck, or even beach tables. For the beach tables, you are actually seated on a a private beach, which is fun for the kids who want to play in the water after you order. All of the staff are attentive and friendly and will help with special requests. My favorite is the chopped salad, but I've also enjoyed several appetizers and my family has really enjoyed the luau bowl, fish tacos, and various burgers.

When we first got there my wife wanted to sit outside and was told they had heaters (as I was dressing for 50's temps), but they didn't have them turned on. So, inside we went and sat at the bar. Stayed for couple of quick drinks. Nothing special about it but our bartender was very nice, personable and attentive. So from that standpoint service was great! Pricing was decent but if you are looking for an old fashioned, don't. It tasted like they splashed it with sprite or something, bathed in crushed ice and Marciano cherry. Very sweet. All of that was passable and went with the style but had to knock them down when I went to the rest room. It was dirty, paper towels on the floor and trash bins overflowing. I get they were busy on a Saturday night, but still. We will be back but hope to have a better review next time. If I recall their food was good, though menu is a little traditional - nothing too exciting for this foodie.

They have a really good variety of snacks plus freshly made food that actually tastes great. And somehow, the coffee is extremely good too. I highly recommend the banana latte or the s'mores latte, and definitely try mixing and matching the cold foams. Another thing I really like is that they have two separate party areas, so even when birthday parties are going on, the whole place doesn't feel completely overloaded. They also have genuinely comfortable chairs for parents, which sounds like a small thing until you've spent hours at other kids' places sitting in chairs that make you miserable. Overall, I'm a pretty big fan. The kids stay entertained, the food and coffee are good, and the pricing feels very fair compared with some of the other places like this. Definitely worth checking out.

I do wish there was a half day price for littles under 3 because they for sure won't last the full day to enjoy the play. We lasted about an hour, it took little man about 20 minutes or so to get used to the play area, esp with all of the screaming big kids. The ceiling space really does carry the screams quite a bit so he got startled often but ended up still having a great time. The space was spacious and the staff was incredibly nice. We also ordered little man a meal after 3 and got a discount. We got a few drinks as well. We got him a grilled cheese and it came with veggie straws and a beverage. Since he couldn't drink juice yet, they offered milk which he did get to enjoy. Overall a great experience, and recommend to any parents looking to tire their kiddos out during break.

When our family needed a place to gather and celebrate the life of a loved one, we wanted somewhere that felt special, welcoming, and memorable. From the moment we walked into Old Towne Hall, we knew we had found exactly that. The charm, character, and rich history of this beautiful building made it unlike any venue we've ever experienced. Learning that it is the oldest operating speakeasy added a unique touch that made the setting feel even more meaningful and memorable. What truly set our experience apart, however, was Ingo and his amazing staff. Planning a Celebration of Life is an emotional journey, and there are so many details to manage while processing the loss of someone you care deeply about. From day one, Ingo treated us with genuine compassion, patience, and professionalism. He sat down with us, listened to our vision, and carefully walked us through every option available. Every little detail mattered to him. He helped us select linens that perfectly matched our invitations, assisted with menu planning, and thoughtfully ensured that every guest with dietary restrictions would be comfortably accommodated. As our RSVP numbers changed, he reassured us repeatedly, "Don't worry, we've got this." And he absolutely meant it. When the day arrived, our family was focused on honoring our loved one and being present with friends and family. Thanks to Ingo and his staff, we never had to worry about a single detail. Everything was handled flawlessly. The entire team was attentive, caring, organized, and always one step ahead. They transformed what could have been an overwhelming day into a beautiful celebration filled with warmth, comfort, and cherished memories. We are beyond grateful for the kindness and care shown to our family. If you're looking for a unique venue with incredible history, outstanding service, and a team that truly cares about making your event special, I cannot recommend Old Towne Hall in Downtown Crystal Lake highly enough. Thank you, Ingo and the entire Old Towne Hall team, for helping us create such a meaningful and memorable celebration for someone we loved so dearly.

My full review and all the details are posted here https://houseofhipsters.com/biltmore-country-club-barrington/ The board made their decision when masking in schools was a hot topic. Before anyone is approved for membership, an email is sent out to existing members, asking for guidance. Members, who knew I was more cautious when it came to masking and my kids, wrote the board asking them to reject our application because of it. The board will refuse to tell you why you were rejected, they just respond by saying, "We stand by our decision". To boot, they informed us by sending a FedEx Express letter that arrived the day after Christmas, and my husband opened and read said letter out loud in front of my kids and parents. The board members did not take the time to meet my family or talk to us. We were left dumbfounded. Biltmore is literally high school all over again. You have the popular girls members and legacy members with a lot of money, and if they don't like you, you won't be allowed into their club. My family's rejection upset and surprised A LOT of people because I'm also a local business owner, a founding member of the Barrington Women In Business group, and President of the Biltmore Oaksbury mom group. Save yourself the time, money, and stress and steer clear of Biltmore. It's not worth the hype. Apply at Barrington Hills Country Club, Wynstone Country Club, or Long Grove.
