Piehouse donated two pies to a local animal rescues charity bake auction and they both looked so delicious! I went in to pick up the pies and this is the CUTEST little Pie-house, so true to its name!! They had some of the most delicious looking creations in their case and the inside was one of the cutest and coziest places I have ever been to! It's truly something out of a fairytale reminding me of the tea shop from the HP books!! Everyone was so friendly and I was helped right away, even being asked a second time if I was being helped!! The chef herself was at the front, so this is truly a locally owned and loved place!! I went home with the apple crumble pie after the auction and it was so delicious and flaky and butter, I cannot wait to come back in to try all their yummy desserts and enjoy a nice afternoon in a cozy little local shop!!! I 100% recommend checking this place out not only for their delicious food and cozy atmosphere but because they gave back to their community and that alone deserves to be celebrated!!!

Hands down, one of the most adorable bakeries. You walk in and are immediately transformed to a local small town old school vibe. The entire place is decorated with nostalgic items from spice cans to rolling pins and cake stands. You can spend an hour just looking at the decor. They have three cozy seating nooks, each with a couch and chair, then they have a few small tables and a large table to accommodate a party of any size. They post their daily menu on social media each morning. You can purchase whole pies, cakes, and quiches or by the slice. We had a chocolate croissant, a flaky jalapeño cheddar scone, and the heavenly German chocolate cake slice. A lot of bakeries in the States are heavy-handed on the sugar in their treats. Piehouse is not that way. Sugar doesn't overpower the baked goods. You can really taste each ingredient. They were continuously baking and bringing things out while we were there. They also offer coffee and espresso drinks. I was leery about getting my café au lait from a bakery, but it was top-notch. They offer oat and almond milk for your coffee drinks. They also have sugar-free options if you order in advance. Great service, there were three people working the register and serving. They also offer soups, sausage gravy, and pot pies with their sweet offerings. If you get a scone, be sure to ask for their jam on the side. They have hot honey on the tables to use.

If you are looking for a nice small place to enjoy a slice of heaven. Then look no further than this bakery offers some amazing pies. We tried the peanut butter and coconut cream and both were amazing. They were priced for what you would expect and the servings were perfect. If your party is more than 3, I would think about taking these to go unless you don't mind sitting in different areas. We will definitely be back.

Ummm the best pie I've ever had. The crust is like that family recipe you can never get right but your great grandmother did. It's like that. Highly recommend the starberry pie, the apple pie, any of the scones, the chicken pot pie, and pretty much anything honestly. Super sweet owner and you can tell the staff loves her. Love the inside too! You can bring your puppy if you want as they have treats and water. You can read a book in there too! So cute and well thought out.

Raw scone as well as the cake slice I purchased was dry. Service was fine but won't be recommending.

Gooseberry's storefront is in a pretty unassuming strip mall near the Bentonville USPS/Osage Park. It's not a sit-down place by any means, so prepare to get your pies to go. They not only have a case with fresh whole pies and mini pies, but also have a freezer with frozen savory pies. I ended up getting three mini pies--coconut cream, French silk, and banana pudding (not technically a pie but is sort of pie adjacent?). I think they set me back around $30; clearly they are not cheap, but I'd rather pay a little extra $$ for a quality treat. Many thanks to the nice guy at the counter for all the recommendations! My ranking: 1. French silk -- I am a sucker for chocolate cream pies and this one was great. The chocolate cream was rich but not too sweet. The crust to filling ratio was great and was clearly a quality, all-butter crust (I can immediately clock a crust that is cut with shortening like Crisco). 2. Banana pudding-- Solid, standard banana pudding. I know the bar is low, but I was relieved that it tasted like actual real banana, and not like banana runts/jello pudding. 3. Coconut cream -- This wasn't a bad pie by any means, but I didn't like the stringy bits of coconut in the custard, which I also found too sweet. I think toasted coconut sprinkled on the surface would've been the way to go. I wish I had gotten to try a quintessentially Arkansas pie like possum pie that day, so I would recommend calling ahead of time to get a sense of what's available/the rotating menu of the week. You can also pre-order a whole pie of your choosing, but it's just me over here and ordering a whole pie would be $$$ and dangerous. That being said, highly recommend!

I specifically planned my visit…read morefrom Las Vegas to Bentonville, Arkansas to visit this gluten-free bakery when they're opened. They're closed Sunday-Tuesday. They're located in a cute Victorian house that has been converted to a bakery, with a few rooms converted to a place to sit and consume your purchases. While there weren't as many options as I had hoped as only 7 baked items were available, I did enjoy the gluten-free & pork-free chicken, chicken-bacon and chive scone for $6.25 and a double-chocolate cookie for $2.50. The other options were: - $7 blueberry muffin - $6 orange poppy seed bread (about the size of a deck of cards.) - $5 sausage roll (about the size of a Twinkie.) - $4.99 vanilla funfetti vegan cupcake - $7 cherry seed bar (about the size of a deck of cards.) I brought 3 other people with me and while my food tasted good, there just wasn't enough variety and the people I brought with me declined to order. Also, to prevent confusion, this bakery needs to separate out the taxes on their receipts as separate line items. Currently, it looks as if they're charging a 10.5% sales tax when the tax rate is 9.5%. I have been informed that there is some additional tax to make up the additional 1%. It's unclear if this is true but having separate line items on the receipt would fix this issue. Nobody wants to be overcharged. Visited: April 2024
