The two AA ladies who did my preworkup (history and EKG) were magnificent as well (Sorry I dont know your names). The echo technician was excellent. She was super, super nice and engaged in great conversation during the test. It was so full in the lobby when I got there, but one of the checkout ladies came from her desk to check people in from her hand held device to assist the the ladies working the four check in windows. Certainly better than waiting in an ER for something that can be handled by an urgent care facility.

I have NEVER heard of getting a referral for a gynecologist, and my primary doctor hasn't either. My primary doctor said I would be hard pressed to find a primary doctor to refer me because it's not necessary for a gynecologist. Medicare AND United Healthcare also state that a referral is not needed. Needless to say, I will be looking for another gynecologist who doesn't come up with idiot rules and who don't treat their patients like uninformed idiots. Honestly, I feel like they do not want to accept patients with Medicare, and I will be reporting them.

You have found your surgeon, staff and hospital! Now for details. I was given Dr. Bagnato's name from a friend. A referral was made through my PCP and consult visit was set up. With my insurance, I had prerequisites that had to be fulfilled prior to surgery. The staff made sure I understood what they were, gave me handout information and made referrals to in-network physicians. After six long months, I was able to make the call to schedule surgery and schedule pre-op. The staff has been so unbelievably polite and friendly. Not once have I had the vibe of "I hate my job." They have always been smiling, caring, approachable and accommodating and this has not gone unnoticed. Pre-operative education class were beneficial. Office is comfortable, open and clean. The office alone has a five star rating. Lastly, Dr. Bagnato's bedside manner is wonderful. He is a busy doctor but once he is in an exam room, he is focused on individual patient needs. If you get nervous in doctor's offices, make a list of questions. He is very open to questions and doesn't make you feel rushed. I cannot speak highly enough about my experiences in the past year.
