My experience at this practice was one of the best (I can honestly say) I can give 100%. The care that was provided was most appreciated and the procedure performed was extemporary. DMD Joshua Morrow and Assistant Haley provided the best care during the process which gave me confidence throughout the course of the operation. The office perennial was most warm and inviting on my arrival as well as my departure AND a telephone call was made to check on my progress the next day! Dr Matthew Baird performed my root canal which ultimately developed an abscess Please be cautious when going to this practice and seeing this endodontist. Dr Matthew Baird performed a root canal on tooth number 4 which developed an abscess within weeks of the procedure. The gum above my tooth was bulging noticeably and painful to the touch. When I followed up with him regarding my concerns about the abscess, he refused to acknowledge that there was even an infection. I requested a CT and he refused and said that he would be the one reading the CT and he was certain that there was no infection. When I pressed him, he gave me a prescription for Amoxil and said a few bacteria may have gotten in through my cracked tooth. The following day I made an urgent appointment with another endodontist who recognized the infection immediately and confirmed that not only was there an abscess but it was a very large abscess that had the risk of rupturing and developing into a sinus tract. The 2nd endodontist was able to guess that my root canal was performed by Dr Baird. Apparently, Dr Baird is not only known for having frequent complications but also known for denying that his procedures have caused a complication. His lack of honesty and humility is my concern. We all make mistakes. Sadly, I had even helped him and still received this type of treatment. After he performed my root canal, he asked me to show him exercises that I had learned from my occupational therapy to help prevent loss of function in his hands and arm which I happily did. The 2nd endodontist that evaluated me prescribed antibiotics and referred me to an oral surgeon to be seen urgently for drainage of the abscess and removal of my tooth. I am now going to require a bone graft and a dental implant. Please also be aware of the office billing practices. I was overcharged by $320.00 and have yet to receive my reimbursement check. The office stated that they have sent me a check and someone cashed it. However , neither I nor my husband cashed any check from their office and my back account reflects that it was not deposited. From what I was told by the 2nd endodontist, endodontists that have procedural complications resulting in loss of a tooth will sometimes refund your initial payment. I am not asking for a refund. I am only requesting a reimbursement on the over payment they took from me. read more

I can't say enough about Dr.Stanley and his team! They saved me from probably the worst pain I have endured continuously for days. My first conversation was at 11:30am and I was in the chair by 3pm (had to drive from SC). Anyway- that entire team is incredible and I hate that I can't remember the name of the kind young lady who did all the prep and testing. I was an observer during a root canal procedure on an elderly friend. I can tell you right now, of all the bad things I have ever heard about having a root canal, if I ever need one my pick of the litter would be Dr. Horowitz and his nurse Tara. These two were completely in sync with one another and while a RC can never be described as 'the best part of my day' my friend was comfortable and relaxed through the entire procedure. Two things that did concern me -- while Tara kindly let me stay with my friend, when Dr. H arrived, he did not acknowledge my presence or my purpose. . . . I did make a point of that as I introduced myself several minutes later. And. . . Somewhere down the hall a young man (9 years old?) whom we had met in the waiting room was yelling with every breath he took -- for a very long time. I admit I do not know what the situation was, but he was obviously traumatized. Drama? maybe, Meaness? I hope not (mom? doc?) but he most definitely needed a moment -- to calm himself, for things to be explained, to learn and to deal with HIS control of the event. It never came... for over an hour we heard this child (obviously with a mouth propped open) . Being in the profession I am in, knowing the techniques that could have helped, it was difficult to not run to his aid. :' - ( I hope this office will see to the needs of the fearful in the future. To 'carry on' and to 'git-r-done' in spite of everything is NOT the approach best suited for a child. It's been two days and I can still hear him, my eyes well up with my tears. And though I know that today it is over with and forgotten in his world, I don't think he'll ever be able to sit in a dental chair without the memory of that experience. Children... they have so little control in these types of situations -- we MUST take care of their trust in the adults that do. read more

These guys are pros through and through! I had the recent opportunity to get a root canal on a difficult tooth and it was handled by Dr. Harold Mohorn with ease. As far as dental surgeons go, Dr, Mohorn kicks ass! I was very nervous about getting my first and hopefully my last root canal. Everything went smoothly and I was out of the chair in about an hour. Which included a bathroom break for me in between. During my visit, I was given reassurance every step of the way. Amanda was reassuring and helpful during my root canal. She provided just enough conversation to make my visit pleasant (if you could call a root canal pleasant). Likewise, Dr. Mohorn was friendly and easy to engage concerning matters of the tooth in question. He also, employed good chair side manner but, was also professional and got down to business when it was time which I really appreciated. I'll have to admit, that I was not overly impressed initially when I called to set up my appointment but, that may have just been me having an off day. The front office staff for the most part is all business so, don't expect a welcoming committee when you walk in the door. They will however, answer questions and are very professional which is welcomed but, they could loosen up a notch. This perception was overcome by the time I hit the dental chair. If I had to get another root canal, this is the place I would go... read more
