Update Review! After over a year still happy with results. Wish I had done sooner. Vision is great…read more No issues except mildly dry eyes occasionally. Worth it and would still highly recommend.

I've always thought my eyes (6.0 and 6.5 with astigmatism) could never be corrected with Lasik, but…read moreafter learning it's possible, I was determined to do it. The initial assessment was very nice, there were only a few people there (went to Dunwoody location), and the doctor that did the assessment was extremely knowledgeable and wonderful at explaining everything. I had to go to the Galleria location because they had the more specialized laser for my horrible prescription. I wasn't really nervous, but excited to finally have the procedure. I was a bit put off at first (not to the point I'd reconsider) by the sheer amount of people there for Lasik-- and ONE doctor. It's definitely a mill. They must make a fortune. Second, I was put off by the doctor. He looked really rough-- like a homicide detective or military captain. Like he's been beat up a lot and doesn't shy away from a good fist fight (LOL). He smiled a lot, to make me feel more comfortable, but he didn't really try to answer my questions and seemed annoyed (some of the things he said to expect were NOT what the doctor who did the assessment said-- he didn't have any interest in hearing it). All said, he did know how to use the laser and corrected my vision just fine. The surgeon is just one of many of the cogs in the wheel, there is no patient-doctor relationship, and they make it very impersonal and sterile to manage expectations (IMO).

Gene with Eye Consultants left me a message on my phone to advise me to arrive @ 10:45. when i arrived and checked in and sat in the waiting room with the other patients i was told they w call me when they are ready. Two hours pass by, and everybody was still in the waiting room. This never happen with appointment I had the same location this pass January. So, I asked my daughter who brought me to ask the receptionist what the problem was. She said all doctors. are working out of one O.R. and they are behinds, and I was patient #3, Two other Patients are ahead of me. The desk never advised the patients of the problem. More patients arrive checked in and taken back to the prep area. About this time, it has been 3 hours in the waiting room. I was very upset, so I walked in the office and asked several patients checked in and was taken directly back to prep area. The receptionist stated other physicians are also doing surgery here out of one O.R.I advised that this office should have told patients about the situation and gave us a choice to stay or rescheduled the surgery. That when she asked me do, I was to reschedule it My response was I've been here for 3 hours no do want me to call Dr Fabrizio staff with a update. She calls and was told he has a difficult case, and it will be 20 more minutes. When I finally went back it went from bad to worse. As they begin to prep me for surgery the nurse/pa advised me they don't have the surgical clearance paperwork and ask me did i have in while i was on the table. No i don't you should have. All this prior to me coming in. Nurse/PA said the paperwork was not in thier system and they can't do the surgery without it. start asking me question about who I saw and where the located .my response nurse Chery Reedus with Piedmont Heart Atlanta location 275 collier rd also check with my PCP Jeffrey Haller. I overheard a side conversion about my case. If i wanted to have it done without the surgical clearance, I will be financially. Response. If anything went wrong. Then Nurse/PA said they will get the anesthesiologist to look over my ECG, she saw no problems. Then the Nurse/PA came to me and said they found the surgical clearance paperwork in another patient file. I had a follow-up appointment with Doctor Fabrizo and i discuss the horrible situation from the day before. I asked what happen why was there such a delay. Working out of one O.R he denied that was not true, running behind he denied that too so i told him that's what your staff told patients. I asked him to explain what happen yesterday. He excused himself from the room without giving me a answer.

Just tell the card checker at the entrance that you're there for the optometrist.)

It set the whole expectation for this appointment..... Giving them the benefit of the doubt i kept my appt. Because i need to keep my eyes healthy and needed a contact Rx.... His receptionist is horrible... stank attitude all around! I honestly do not think she likes to deal with people. She might need to be in the back sorting files or something else where she does not need to interact directly with patients. Same nasty attitude i got on the phone is the same one I got live and in person!!! Dr.Patel was nice and joked a little to tighten up the mood....but I honestly think I need to just go on back to an opthomologist!!! They dont take my insurance anyway... And at the MD they don't rush you like they do in here. I thought I was on the assembly line. Also its not a good idea to dilate someones eyes then Make them go sit back out side in the bright cosco warehouse space with those bright lights I could not see a thing ! I thought that I was on a bird Box challenge! .... and driving home with dilated pupils......Jesus took the wheel ... sunglasses and ALL!!
