Didn't even know they were there unless they were talking directly to us (stealthy!). Captured so many gorgeous photos and fun candids. They took our preferences into account- we got the types of photos that were important to us (and more!) and they were in the style we hoped for- natural, did not look heavily edited (and if they were you'd never know it!). Video clips and 1 min video montage were WONDERFUL. Many guests have commented how nicely they captured the essence of our day. Having both of them there was perfect - not only were they able to catch both sides of the wedding party getting ready in separate locations, but also the different angles of the same moments. I found out about iSmile about 9 years ago when I was approached by an employee offering a free…read more8x10 (I had a baby in tow) while I was shopping in Colonie Center. I of course took up this offer and my daughter's first "professional" photos were taken. Things were different back then than they are now such as pricing and different pic sizes available in certain packages. From what I remember, the staff were nice and I have really good photos of my daughter as we went back several times. Fast forward to current. I now have a new baby and signed up for the iGrow package ($50 gets you pics taken every month, a free 8x10 or smaller, and a collage of pics for the one year mark). I try to get different photographers each time I go so I can see different styles and see who I like/vibe with. There have been a couple of people who I didn't care for and make it a point not to book with them again. While waiting it can be a bit noisy, but that was based on different photographers making different noises to get the attention of children. This I am not a fan of. I can see where it can become annoying and frustrating, especially if your child isn't reacting to it. I continue to get my child's pic taken monthly and have loved the pics received thus far. I can't wait to get the end collage to hang in my home. I wish they would do the advertising as they did back in the day by offering a free photo to try them out. I'm sure they aren't hurting for business, but it would boost their numbers.

My son's school changed to this studio for school pictures this year and I'm disappointed…read more (I'm not going to share photos because I don't want to put my son's face on yelp) I did like that they had options to choose from, but 2 out of the 7 taken and being offered for purchase were just bad photos. One of them he was moving, the other he was opening his eyes too wide and looked ridiculous. It would've been better to not include those for purchase. The lighting was too bright in the photos and none of them looked like traditional school photos. They all had him facing head on and some of them look like passport photos. I would've like better lighting, posed at an angle... I literally took one of the photos and edited myself to look like a traditional school photo. All from my iPhone. And it looks significantly better than what they're trying to sell to us. On top of that they are very expensive and to change the background it's an extra 5 dollars, and they don't have as many options as Adirondack School Portraits does, and for free! They have a retake day that we will do and I'm hoping they come out better because in my opinion they are just mediocre for a photography studio.

Finally she responded with I should find another photographer since the beach she shoots on is "not what I want". What?....I never said I didn't like the location, I just asked some questions about what beaches she shot at and emailed her that I was fine with whatever was the prettiest beach. Her pictures on her website are not even that good to be honest, she's definitely a novice, but I figured for a quick mini shoot it would be okay.
