I reached out on instagram after looking through his work and he promptly responded. I shared our vibe for the wedding and after talking about planning, pricing and the big day details, I decided to hire him! It was too good to pass up. We had a few things planned out but also wanted the day to feel simple, natural and care free. Sean specializes in capturing moments people least expect instead of the super posed outdated photography. On the big day, he showed up on time, well dressed and extremely polite with a warm smile. He partnered with our videographer throughout the day and worked seamlessly with him! They made a great team. About 2 weeks later I received about 10 best pictures as a "sneak peak" to his work. Handled the suboptimal conditions (mud everywhere, glaring sun, high winds that knocked things down) at the venue with ease and grace. Didn't even know they were there unless they were talking directly to us (stealthy!). Captured so many gorgeous photos and fun candids. They took our preferences into account- we got the types of photos that were important to us (and more!) and they were in the style we hoped for- natural, did not look heavily edited (and if they were you'd never know it!). Scott captured all of the moments and emotions of the best day of my life (so far), in an anxiety-free and easy-going and professional manner -- and he wasn't even close to the most expensive part of the wedding. On the day of, I never felt like Scott was intruding or in the way, the way I've seen or heard other photographers are. I also really liked how quickly and painless the group photo session was after the ceremony. We received our pictures really quickly after the wedding, along with a photo slideshow set to our first song. Scott also shot a photograph of my twin and I with our niece. That and a picture from our wedding are the first images I see every morning. I expected the PortAPotty guy (reception in a field) to be a little sleazy, and the DJ to be a little cheesy. They were.
