Their services are not cheap, which foolishly led me to believe that the quality would be greater. The end result however, was even worse than the expense. The frame was flimsy with rough edges with a thin layer of Perspex in between. In the past I have been relatively pleased with Studio 45 Framing services, but since my last experience, I shall definitely think twice and advise others likewise before using them.

Yes, you can go online and buy the same crap from Amazon that everyone else gets OR you can go support a local business that in turn supports local artists (which they both desperately need these days) AND get unique gifts for your loved ones. It's a pretty easy decision, don't ya think? The store space on the top floor was packed with all sorts of framed art, kooky knick-knacks, handmade stuff, and a lot of surprises on the shelves. There's literally something for everyone here with a million impulse items calling out to you. The bottom floor is the gallery space. You'll find all kinds of art hanging on the walls along with prints of said art along with other pieces from local creators. It's a great mix of techniques and themes, from screen prints to watercolors to even oil. The cost of the art tends to be more manageable for normal budgets which is another thing I enjoyed. All in all, I loved this place. The icing on the cake, other than having successfully accomplished 100% of my holiday shopping in a single trip, was the tasty mulled wine they had on sale. I was able to snag a cup to enjoy on the walk back home.

Maybe it is the overcrowded way in which the shop has been put together, or the incongruent mix of styles, but something about it is rather overwhelming and off-putting. Wish does however, have some really nice and often unusual and ethnic pieces (alongside a fair bit of tack). I do not believe that Wish should be overlooked, but neither is it the nicest or most exciting shop to be in.

Usually,…read moreI love places like this, shops that sell little bits of randomness (picture frames, prints of Marilyn Monroe, diaries, wallets, clocks, candles, etc.), but for some reason it just felt a bit too manic in here. It felt like all of the items were just strewn around; complete entropy. I was unimpressed by the store's miscellaneous knick knacks, but I was shocked when I ran into their jewellery section. They have gorgeous pieces of silver earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings. Moonstone, garnet, onyx - if you're into silver jewellery you will have loads to choose from here. So Wish, yes, jewellery extraordinaire with an abundance of knick knacks and pretty good cups of coffee.

The bulk of the collection was assembled by two London-based art dealers on a commission from the King of Poland, but the King's abdication in 1795 and their failure to find another buyer resulted in this astonishing collection of Old Masters being bequeathed to Dulwich College instead. Visitors can now enjoy an astonishing collection of Old Masters from the 17th and 18th Centuries set in the perfection of Soane's gallery: his deceptively sophisticated yet simple design became the model for galleries around the world since. Curation is simple and clear, and audio guides are also available. It's worth a couple of hours of anyone's time and has an excellent cafe and a small shop. The nearest railway station is West Dulwich: it's a 10 minute walk through Belair Park and along Gallery Road.

Rather than working towards an overriding theme, the exhibition is defined by the size of the works - all pieces measure 40 x 40 cm. A good size which works well for photographs and paintings alike - and fits on regular walls in regular homes. No wonder quite a few pieces were snapped up on opening night! Mince pies were a nice touch!! I wonder if I'd even noticed this gem if I had just walked down the road. The main shop window on Denmark Hill is dedicated to the framing business. The main gallery space is towards the back of the building with a separate entrance from a side street. Beautiful basement gallery!

The urban landscape stuff is spot on, especially those of Brixton. My favourites are his festival images, but we're not festival goers so haven't bought any of those. He's gone out of his way to give us great value & high quality prints. We also enjoy his no nonsense approach to customer care, he just does what he says he'll do, simple. We're very happy with the stuff we have of his already, he's doing a project for us now and we'll be using him for a natural photo shoot of our son when we get our timings right. Give him a go he's a top man, great photographer and brilliant producer of print and canvasses. I've not given him 5*s because i'm mean and am going to see if he delivers on the current project!
