Hands-down, the best Mexican food I have eaten north of the border, and maybe even south (except…read morefor my aunt's home cooking!)! First, the welcome and the service was warm AND efficient. The ambience, with its highly-colored and sculpted furniture was very festive. I have never seen anything like the furniture here, obviously artistic and made with love. The margaritas (yes, I had TWO) were deliciously limey and well-oiled with tequila! Not watery and too sweet like so many others. The chips were crispy and the house-made chipotle salsa was unique, savory, creamy, spicy and so delicious! But the mains, seafood stew (Caldo de Mariscos $20.00 Spicy red broth seafood stew mixed with shrimp, squid, mussels, crab legs, cod, potatoes, and carrots. Served with fresh cilantro, onions, and tortillas) and birria tacos (Tacos De Birria $16.00 Our Famous Beef Stew Tacos are made with cheese, cilantro, and onions. Served with broth, lime, red and green salsa.) were over the top! Honestly, the food was both authentic and amazing! We were traveling on I-81 so only had a very detour, but If you are within 50 miles of this place, make the detour and enjoy warm hospitality and delicious food! Arrriba!

We FINALLY went here after years of wondering how it was. If you're like us, everytime you go to…read moreTarget you're wondering what Burrito Loco is like. Well lemme tell ya! It's a small restaurant so all the reviews saying how awful the wait was... it's sorta true. Obviously if a restaurant is small and good there's gonna be a wait. The only problem is their entrance is small and not able to hold too many inside to get away from the rain. But, my counter argument is go shop or browse! You have a bunch of stores around, put your name in and wait for the text while you browse in target! Now for the food, woah. Typically with Mexican restaurants when they look like this it's gonna be a great experience and well it still holds true. They have a wide variety of drinks, Jarritos sodas, fresh fruit drinks, margaritas, specialty alcoholic drinks, and more. I got a horchata and my brother got a strawberry drink. My horchata was refreshing and creamy. 8/10 The strawberry drink was thicker and tasted like yogurt. 6/10 STARTERS! The nachos. Oh my, if you're a big party like we were I'd suggest 2 or 3 plates of the nachos. We got the grilled chicken and MAN was that good. The chicken has such a good flavor along with the cheese sauces and lettuce. 8.9/10 ENTREES I got the steak quesadilla, the ongoing trend of this place is they do NOT skimp out on the meat. My quesadilla was jam packed with meat and cheese. My meal came with rice and beans, and wow everything had such good flavor. The rice was some of the best and typically not a bean guy but I ended up eating them as well. 8/10 The Birria Tacos. The birria was so yummy and tender, the soup that comes with was rich and flavorful. The only thing is the birria tacos is one of the few dishes that don't come with rice and beans. I also didn't love the double corn tortillas for the tacos. 7.5/10 Chicken Enchiladas Oh man the chicken. You may be sick of me saying how flavorful the meats were but ohhhh mannn! The shredded chicken inside the enchiladas was like no other. Everyone started picking from the dish because it was so good. 8/10 The burritos The burritos are huge. They aren't meant to be picked up but more eaten with a fork and knife. Such good flavor (again), and jam packed with meat (again). Big enough to share. 8/10 Shrimp Tacos 3 shrimp tacos on flour tortillas. Simple but good. Another thing with amazing flavor!! 8/10 SERVICE The service starting out was slow getting into the place like I had said before. We left, did some shopping, and came back when we got a text. Simple as that, no sense of staring at eachother and being squished in the foyer while we watch people eat. Our waiter was amazing, attentive and friendly. He joked around with us and added to our night. The food took a bit to come out but it was packed and there's only 2 chefs. But as you may infer the wait was worth it. The ambiance is hole in the wall. Best way to sum it up. Loud clubby house music aka Pitbull and Rihanna. Latino decorations, colorful, and homey. Food 9/10 Service 9/10 Ambience 8/10

Silly me, I started speaking Spanish to the server and she didn't speak Spanish. The server shared she was new and I could kind of tell cause she really could not answer a lot of my questions. After reviewing the menu, and didn't see what I wanted or an à la cart section, I decided on chile relleno de queso and hubby got Fiesta Mi Tierra and a horchata. While we waited , we munched on the chips and salsa. The chips were tasty and had just enough salt. The salsa's were good and progressed in heat from mild to ouch. lol So, my husband hardly ever puts salt on anything. This time he kept reaching for the salt. I think he was salting the beans and rice. He said the proteins on his plate were very tasty. I had the same issue. The beans and rice had no flavor. The rice looked well cooked but no flavor. The relleno was ok. I think the homemade tortillas were the star of the meal.
