We enlisted the services of Apollo Drywall & Painting to eliminate the unsightly popcorn ceilings and to fresh paint our new retirement home. Like anyone I contacted other companies and by far Apollo was the best response and price wise. We even had one that never even cared to respond and another that came and looked for the estimate and never called back. Their losses! So Apollo was a no brainer choice for us and dealing with with Russell the owner and his Office Admin. Bridget was an easy and pure joy as we pretty much communicated all long distance by texting before we finally moved in . The process took 2 weeks of excruciating detail and effort by Mike & Chris who were on our project. Their work was above and beyond what we could have expected and they were always prompt and early and left behind "the cleanest job site ever" every day as my son in law who checked in daily in our absence would attest to. When we arrived the 2nd week they worked around us to get the job done so we were able to see first hand the tremendous effort to get it ALL done perfect.They were personable and pleasant to have around which was a big help. They even helped us move some boxes around and assist with setting up our beds at their request- they also went back and tightened up loose fans as they had to move them to remove ceiling and to paint ! They were apologetic but had no need to be. In the end the home is absolutely beautiful thanks to their extra effort in the final stages of the painting. They were meticulous and told us that until we saw all and they touched up all they would not leave! They would not leave till we were 100% satisfied. Well we werent- We were 110% satisfied and happy. We met Russell and he could not have been nicer as he too was very pleased and explained how much work the job really took- a few of our ceilings were very uncooperative in leaving their home for so many years but gone they are and we couldn`t be happier. Our home looks new and happy with its face lift as are we. Mitch and Dan, partners, young men in their early twenties, have a head for business and are skilled at their trade. They may be young, but they know how to paint! They have informally been painting since they were sixteen. They took great care to help us pick the right colors - their input was nice, as they know the trends. Plus, they bought many sample size paints over so we could see if a particular color really would look like we imagined. I changed my mind several times. Mitch was very patient with me. I really appreciated his patience. They took care to move and/or cover furniture in the way. We had a considerable amount of moving of belongings, not easy. They never complained or up-charged us for all the moving. They cleaned and properly prepped the walls. Truly this is a most important step before even painting. Then they proceeded to paint. They paid attention to details. Edges were crisp. You can tell they take pride in their work. It shows! Besides painting of walls in bedrooms and bathrooms, we also had a bookshelf painted white. A laborious task of sanding off the wood stain and then painting. Came out beautiful and really gives our den an updated appearance. In addition, my front metal door was beat up and needed touching up. After sanding down and re-painting in spots, the door looks so much more presentable. Their prices are very reasonable. They are friendly, courteous, respectful and professional. We were so pleased that we referred them to a friend who needed painting in her house. She, too, was happy with the their service. I rarely leave negative reviews for local small businesses but I feel like I need to in this case…read more To be fair, the paint on my house looks good, no complaints about that, they did show up on time, they were quiet when they worked. The lack of stars come from the fact they didn't complete the work , and the general carelessness of the work completed. ( they were fairly neat with their lunch/break stuff other than a few Mighty Taco wrappers and drink bottles). They got paint in my mulch, on a shrub, on the flagstone and the lawn. They broke 3 of my solar lights and a piece of flagstone. They never told me this happened. They did come back and complete the work. I understand paint on the lawn will eventually be mowed away, mulch can be rearranged, shrubs can be trimmed, lights can be replaced. I don't expect to have to clean up after contractors. I know things can get damaged or broken, I expect to be told when that happens. Having good customer service isn't never making a mistake or never having something go wrong on a job, it's how those things are addressed and handled. Making excuses isn't what I would consider good customer service. My expectations for this company were just too high I guess.
