There are two levels of membership, the required one, which has an annual fee approaching $500, and which only allows up to six visits per year, and the unlimited one with an annual fee nearing $700. When people buy in this area, they are adequately informed of their future financial obligations. The facility is quite nice, the other members are generally friendly and most of the lower level staff are equally friendly and capable. There exists two pool areas, one reserved for seniors, adequate shade, and also an ok fitness facility. There are areas for children, many tennis and pickleball courts, meeting rooms, and several annual family picnic events. Of late, many of the required members, who often moved here when the annual rate was much lower, have been unhappy with the cost for something they do not use, and if they did, it would be around $80 per visit, while the enhanced members can attend daily if they so please, possibly at as low a rate as $2 per visit. I understand the need for funding of the physical plant and of adequate reserves for future expenses, and would not personally use the facilities much anymore, as 80 is in my rear view, but think that the board should consider an increase in the allowed annual allowed number of visits equal on a percentage basis to the lat ten years of financial obligatory increases. This might mitigate some of the current unhappiness. And no, I don't wish to serve on the board of directors. Been there, done that.

I came here to play pickleball as a guest of one of the RBSTC members. Therefore, this review is…read moremainly for the facility and the pickleball courts and playing conditions. RBSTC is an old HOA membership only club (for people that live in the community). It is dated, crowded, and very guarded with partitions, fences/gates to separate different activities. They are very strict with tracking and making sure guests are checked in properly. You feel like you're visiting a friend in prison with all the info and form that you have to fill out and sign. But once you get through the check point, the facility is quite nice with swimming pool, tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball courts, batting cages, etc. Pickleball is the latest craze and is very popular among club members. RBSTC has 8 pickleball courts to accommodate the demands. The courts are nicely surfaced and maintained. However, the center fences are too close to one side of the back courts which hindered your movement and serves. It's great that the courts have lights so you can play at night. But they should upgrade to LED lights for better visual and to enhance play.

The main one (on Aviary Dr) has all the amenities. Olympic size swimming pool, 4 tennis courts, 8 pickleball courts, basketball court, workout gym (yoga, plate, etc.), weight room, jacuzzi, spa, etc.. They even have a children's play area and summer camps for the young ones. The 2nd location (Trail Dr) is a little smaller but has most of the amenities and more (5 tennis courts, an Olympic size swimming pool, 2 racquetball courts, a sand volleyball court, a miniature golf course, and a children's play area and daycare). Scripps Ranch community has grown in size and population. Therefore, patience is needed to gain membership at SRSRC. the resident membership waiting period is about 2-3 years.

(This review is for the basic adult group swim lesson) I…read morejust took a basic adult group swim lesson at this facility. It was every Mon & Wed for 30 mins each time for 2 weeks. I was super excited when I found out there were only 3 women in the group. I wasn't excited anymore after 2nd session. During the first session I learned that one of women in the group already knew how to swim and she was there to learn how to lap swim. So basically she already knew how to do free style and could swim from one end to the other end of pool without any problem. She just wanted to polish and refine her techniques. She should have taken an intermediate swim lesson, not a basic lesson. Oh, and a private lesson, not a group lesson. I started feeling uneasy when I noticed the coach spent way more time with that woman than rest of us. The coach spent about 15 mins with her and maybe 5 mins with rest of us each time. It was obvious that woman acting like this was her own private lesson, kept on asking the coach tons of questions, interrupting that short 5 min session that the coach was having with another student by asking her to check her own techniques. I know there is always a person who would think she/he is entitled to do so. Then it should be the coach who needs to split the time equally for each student because this is a group lesson, not a private lesson, but the coach failed to do that. So if you are interested in taking a group lesson, look elsewhere.
