This review will be based off experience alone. So I came here yesterday with some friends whose it's their first time playing pickleball and we had a blast. I like how many courts there are as well as how spacious everything is. I didn't realize they had two additional courts on the upper level. I think there's a total of 12 courts. Each court has a court camera that can replay the previous rally to help give perspective and decide a close call. They also have a digital system that keeps score and tells you who's serve it is. It was a quick learning curve to figure out the mechanics of the electronic system. It would've been faster if we had asked a staff member to explain it to our group. As far as play experience . I prefer the indoor environment since you don't have to worry about external forces like wind or blinding sun. That's just my preference though. Aside from the other amenities, my favorite thing at pickleball kingdom is the picklez simulator. It's a projected tracking system and I spent a good chunk using it. Also got a good workout in from a lot of the squatting & shuffling I was doing. Some of the things they offer are lessons that range in difficulty and experience. So if you're not a seasoned player, you can have the confidence of instruction to bring you up to speed. One suggestion I have for the establishment is another form of membership/entrance. After leaving I expressed that i wish they had a punch pass system. Its where you can purchase a specific amount of punches and use them at any time for any person with you. Since I live so far it would be conducive for me to drop in when I'm in the area. If I lived closer I think I would opt in for a membership, but since I don't a punch pass woul incentivize me to come back as a recurring customer. Regardless of them not having one in place currently. I think I would still come back again in the future. Come check it out. It'll be a good time.

We hadn't played in a few years so I reserved a court for the two of us. Emily sp?(pronounced ah-muh-lee) was super helpful on the phone helping me reserve the court and walking me through what I needed to do on my end to create an account via CourtReserve. Initially back in August that step kept me from checking out this spot, but it really was easy. When we arrived we were greeted by Emily's mom and she was very kind and we were patient as the internet was being finnicky due to the howling wind. All in all it was a great time and I can't wait to go back because now I know to scan the QR code before our game begins....then afterwards you can get your video highlights!!! P.S. There is a parking lot and you receive a code to enter the premises, so they are taking security measures, which I appreciate.

The sign-up process was not the most intuitive , but we managed. When we got there, the lady at the front explained everything to us and briefly showed us around. They have a small size Pro Shop that's well equipped. The bathrooms were clean and one of them even had a shower. We played with some people that were out of state also. As usual the pickleball experience was a fun and rewarding experience. The players were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back when we are in the Tacoma area.

Our visit to The Armory Pickleball Club in Marysville was unfortunately ruined by an extremely unprofessional interaction with the manager, Ryan. This was our first time visiting. I had created an account ahead of time and believed I had reserved a court from 5-7 pm, but the booking system is confusing and I never received a confirmation email explaining what I had actually reserved. When we arrived, there was no staff available to greet guests or help new players understand where to go. I walked the entire facility looking for someone and even called the phone number listed, but no one answered. Since all courts were full except one, we assumed that was associated with my reservation and the four of us (on a double date) began playing. Later in the evening, Ryan approached us in a very abrupt and accusatory way assuming we were sitting there drinking and using a court without permission. I immediately showed her my reservation and explained that this was our first time there. As soon as I realized the system likely required each person to pay individually for open play, I offered to pay for the additional three players right away. Instead of handling the situation with professionalism or helping clarify the confusion, Ryan continued speaking to us in a rude and confrontational tone that felt unnecessary and disrespectful. It was especially frustrating because we were trying to do the right thing and resolve the issue immediately. Adding to the poor experience, the women's locker room had no toilet paper, and many of the tables in the seating area were covered with dirty dishes and had not been cleared. For a facility promoting a social atmosphere, basic upkeep and hospitality seemed to be lacking that evening. We had actually been having a great time until this interaction, but the way Ryan handled the situation completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun date night. Because of the way we were treated, we will not be returning.

READ FULL REVIEW - DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. OWNERS & MANAGEMENT ARE THIEVES…read more Their payment system is flawed & their customer service is abhorrent. I booked 2 separate 1 hour slots, on different outdoor courts. It showed the booking went through. After getting there, it was made apparent the 2nd booking actually had not gone through, despite showing so on the online schedule. Our 2nd court had been taken by another group due to the faulty payment system, so I decided to book 2 more hours indoor, in addition to our 1st hour outside. We played for maybe 20 minutes inside during our 2nd hour, so I requested to not be charged for the 3rd hour. Which I was assured I wouldn't be. Despite that assurance, and that employee supposedly leaving a note with the manager, I was still charged. They have no manager on site during peak times that are able to make decisions, so I left a message following the experience with the 'manager' Carol Peebles. She never returned my call after a week of patience. Today, I rang her 3 times back to back, finally got an answer. I briefly explained the situation, and was told I'd get a call back. An hour later. Nothing. Called her 10 times, nothing. We shouldn't have to chase a manager down when we've essentially at this point been stolen from & ignored. I gave her plenty of grace before writing this review, but I guess I'll have to drive all the way to Lacey & confront them directly to get refunded. Also, they're incredibly understaffed, & the food was bland. We would have come back if it wasn't SO mismanaged & their customer service wasn't so absolute trash. Hope they go under. This should have been a very easy resolution, but here we are. DO NOT TRUST YOUR MONEY WITH CAROL PEEBLES OR 23 KITCHENS.
