When we asked a simple question about the total cost of attendance, he immediately gave us numbers and then stated, "If it's not for you, I don't want to waste your time and continue the tour." At no point did we suggest the price was "too much" for us--we were simply requesting information. Throughout the tour, he repeatedly emphasized that "if it's not doable or not for us, we don't have to continue." Instead of focusing on the school itself, This not only distracted from the purpose of the tour but also made us feel singled out and discouraged. As a Hispanic woman and with my fiancé being Black, I felt strongly that we were being racially profiled. The way we were spoken to suggested that we were being dissuaded from considering the school, rather than welcomed or persuaded to join the community. I cannot imagine a white couple being treated in the same manner. The entire interaction felt dismissive, demeaning, and disrespectful. Nicholas also mentioned that he was leaving for vacation the next day, which left the impression that maybe he was not invested in giving us a meaningful tour so he could have a mellow last work day. Overall, what should have been an exciting and informative experience was instead extremely discouraging. I left feeling disappointed and disrespected, when I had truly hoped to leave with a positive impression of the school. EDIT: I received a call back from a lady in admissions regarding my concerns. She stated she had listened to the recording and told me, "I'm sorry you feel that way, but I didn't hear anything wrong. Sometimes the price is a deterrent for people." When I explained that Nicholas had made the comment multiple times, even when I didn't have any concerns for the price she dismissed it by saying, "I Only heard him say it once," to which I responded "He said it a few times." She replied with " Okay, two times, but I personally only heard it once," which implied I was exaggerating or lying. Instead of acknowledging our experience or offering a genuine apology, she asked me to take down my review since it mentions Nicholas' name. If she had simply validated our concerns, apologized appropriately, and not pressured me to remove my review, I would have been willing to take it down. Unfortunately, the way this was handled left me feeling even more disrespected and dismissed. I would've definitely gave you guys a second chance but this overall experience made me extremely disappointed, I am no longer choosing Concorde.

It's awful having a school giving up on you. After your paying for classes and going back to school…read moreafter 10 years and in my case I expected having trouble getting used to the routine and yes I expected failing. But they have a policy that they said they have of "max of three fails and you out". The teachers are great but that policy isn't beneficial if there are students that took them a while to get back into school. I don't know but I felt discouraged, not even sure if school is for me at this point. Also still your credits won't transfer to another school not worth it look for another school with more support and your credits transfer almost 80k for the BSN program and the credits aren't transferable not worth it!!

I used to take my cert exams here long ago, but got out of the habit when their schedules stopped…read moreworking for me and went other places. I tried them again recently when they had the only schedule that worked for a Vue exam. There seem to be only 2 places in the DTC that do Vue, so your options are pretty limited. They look like a pretty nice place: everytihng is glass so that you can see thru the walls and there always seems to be a ton of people walking around taking classes, so they must be pretty good for that. Their testing area was pretty nice. The computers seemed to have actually been made in the past 5 years, which is unusual for a testing provider. I'm knocking a star off because their testin chairs are 100% uncomfortable. I know you have to be smarter than the chair, but I could find no way to adjust it and it was way too high for me and my long legs. So I had to sit completely hunched over and unconfomfortable while taking my test. Knocking off another star cause their receptionist was one of the rudest receptionists I've ever met. I got there a little early (which most places prefer and let you check in early, especially if there's room) and she just told me that I was early and she wouldn't help me until it was my time and then just ignored me. Annoying!

Hmm, maybe your training company should have all of their software properly update prior to having a full room of trainees? That would not have been a problem if it weren't for his attitude. In fact, I ended up taking care of the issue myself. The class was too slow paced for a so-called advanced class. Also, there was no recap or review or practice test. There really was not any practical practice at all. I voiced this concern when I received 2 follow up phone called from New Horizons (aka they were trying to hit me up for more money). I don't think it mattered to them...anyway, I learned some good points in the class but I think I'll look elsewhere from now on.

Do As I Say Not as I Do…read more Welding program & Pipe Program All in all Lincoln Tech Denver is just like the other for profit colleges I have been to. There are flaws in everything and everyone. Too often here have the upper management shown inconsistencies and out of touch in their part of interacting with students. Many students were asked by management at one point to sign a paper offering us an opportunity to speak out for issues that we have at the school. This never happened so our hopes of improving the school through our suggestions and constructive criticism fell very short and without explanation. During enrollment I and others were told that after the program we would be certified welders. This is honestly a lie. You are not a certified welder, you gain NCCER (which hardly anyone even cares or knows about in the real world) certifications through online testing for knowledge based book work. The only reason I didn't give Lincoln Tech 5 stars was for 1 reason only. That 1 reason is a teacher named Ramsey. Ramsey goes unchecked with his terrible attitude and bullying style of teaching that shocks many of us students in that he is still employed. We (many students) have verbally spoke to the dean about his behavior and nothing seems to solve his lack of empathy or his constant whining about his personal issues that we never asked to be apart of. I didn't enroll to hear sob stories and be forced to look at his pill bottles in some deranged attempt to manipulate us into doing what he demands we do. Leave your personal issues at the door. If it weren't for Ramsey this would have been a 5 start review. I have nothing but good things to say about these teachers as they personify what an instructor should be like. I am not saying they don't have their flaws but their excellence in teaching is undeniably high end. Brian Bennett was the first teacher I started off with. Not only does he strike a neutral respect with students but is a great listener and will take his time in teaching you and show you several different ways along the way. Thank you Mr. Bennett for all your hard and patient work you do every day. Joe is probably the #1 teacher in that you can expect the same standards every day from him. That always brings me confidence as a student to go to him with my problems in welding. He is very knowledgeable in seemingly all aspects of welding. His confidence does not rub off as arrogance but as something he wants to pass on to as many people as possible. I really appreciate your stable attitude Joe, thank you for everything. Todd is a wizard at welding and will give you honest feedback on how to improve your welding. You can always ask him for a real world perspective. He will not talk over you and will answer you to the best of his abilities or he will go research the issue or question and get back to you on it. I greatly appreciate everything Todd. Mr. Lopez is the jack of all metal. If you don't mess around and respect the time he takes to show you how to do something he will gladly give you new constructive advice each time he helps you. He has his stories but he's got a genuine heart to help students grow throughout their time at Lincoln Tech. So thank you Mr. Lopez for being the right amount of tough and fair.

I was a welding student at Lincoln who just graduated. I was there for just over a year. My first…read moreever class was taught by Austin Sleep. Austin was very helpful, always excited to teach and created an atmosphere of energy and enthusiasm for welding. He got us excited for the jobs to come and for what we could do with welding. Needless to say, I enjoyed my first two classes with him and improved very quickly. My third class is where things got messy. I understand that a lot of the time, classes will go from 110, to 120 then to a random class, and then back to 130. The teachers are like "that'll happen." I think this shows how unprepared this school is. WEL120 is a stick welding class. Going from 120 to 140, which is TIG, is majorly difficult. We never even learned how to fill up a groove with stick before we had to tackle flat, horizontal, and vertical fillet welds. Then, with only 2 weeks left, we were expected to also learn flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead groove welds. My entire class was discouraged. Many dropped out or flunked out. If everyone is struggling, something was obviously done wrong by the teachers. Austin was by far the most helpful. Dillon, Todd and Lopez are all condescending and very obviously fed up with teaching. Todd always looks at you like you have two heads, and Dillon always gives some snarky remarks back to you when asking a question. Yes this is blue collar work, but a teacher should be fully engaged in helping the students. The classes move too fast. 5 weeks for each process and type of weld. 5. For classes such as fabrication, MIG pipe or any plate classes, this is a good amount of time. But 5 weeks to learn 3 positions with stick is not a very long time. Especially if none of the instructors are willing to help. I had to watch youtube videos the whole time I was here to fully grasp the concept. They also cut you off completely from any new metal the day you graduate. I could understand this if they actually taught you how to use a plasma cutter to cut up old scrap. But no. They say "let me know when you need some cut" but then are never around or refuse to help you cut it. All together, I say to the reader, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! You can learn as much here as you can getting a helper job somewhere. If all you want to do is fabrication or structural welding, it's okay. But if you actually want to learn how to pipe weld, good luck.

Didn't get enrolled as I was told to do so online, so honestly just wasted my gas money and time, will not be attending and don't recommend, seriously work on customer service.
