Their rolls are incredible (do the hot ham and rolls or use rolls for anything from burgers to fish sandwiches). Their cookies are often awesome (salted caramel chocolate chip... oh, YES). They have the best prepared taco dip trays too. The hot prepared food is great (really good fried chicken). The food may not be cheap... but it is very high quality and, at times, that is exactly what is wanted or needed! The only negative I have is that I live an hour away and can't just shop here easily as much as I wish I could!

However, I was walking right by the upper level entrance and remembered that I needed a couple things so I did enter and was a bit impressed with the large variety of non-food items on this level. While none of them were things that I was there for, it was something I wanted to make a mental note of for the future. After heading downstairs, I did find what I was looking for though for the size of the store I was a bit surprised at the limited selection in both of the areas that I browsed (pretzels and baking needs), but they did have what I came for, so I can't complain too much! This isn't a store I would likely frequent often if I lived in the area, but it was definitely good in a pinch and since I was already walking by.

Stopped in after panic searching for some lunch refreshments for my volunteer group. Wanted to pick…read moreup some deli sandwiches, cookies, chips, etc. When I couldn't find the sandwiches, I asked someone for help. Funny enough, I found the manager and he was so kind and patient with me though I'm sure extremely busy. He showed me where the sandwiches were located but we noticed how there weren't enough for my group. He immediately went back and assembled sandwiches with his team quickly while I found the other items I needed. Special thanks to the Sendik's employees who turned out some delicious sandwiches for me and my team! Also enjoyed the mini cookies and assorted chips we had with it, too. The parking structure is easy to navigate and had plenty of parking on a weekday. The store is clean and bright, and everyone was friendly. It's definitely a good-sized store compared to other locations - you should be able to find just about anything you need here. Really impressed with my stop. :) Looking forward to checking out the happy hour at their bar!

I have not been to the MM in a while, so I'm not sure when this was a new policy. I took a bag that I usually take to other grocery stores, because I am not going to bring a lot of things and try to save plastic. That being said, we were approached by an employee who, while respectful enough was still offputting to inform us that we could not put groceries in the bag as we shopped, but needed to have a cart or basket. I didn't see any signs to this effect in English or Spanish and so I was very confused, but of course obliged. Now I understand why the staff lady gave us a nasty look when we first came in, but we had no idea! Please make this policy more clear; for now going to return to friendlier ethnic stores.

As…read morea young whipper snapper before I became a foodie I had no experience of food culture in the world and ethnic food stores wasn't a common thing in my growing up. Anyone who follows me knows I'm a BBQ hound all over the country and I never do pulled pork because it doesn't interest me but Mexican carnitas on the other hand is something I have to always get. The store is pretty much the same as the 27 st location with the ice cream shop, meat, deli, produce, western union thing, hot table, dine in seating etc etc. The meat prices in the weekly ad seem very reasonable. The carnitas is my only reason to stop over and compared to other Mexican stores it isn't in a swimming pool of lard at this location and are on the dry side which I prefer over a pool of lard but I like them as they are. The hot table is way more than Mexican with a variety of items including pizza puffs etc etc. The cashier was friendly and greeted me with a good morning. Now that I have two Mexican food stores in the area I'm going to see who has the best carnitas.

While visiting today I found samples of parmesan in a balsamic vinegar that was quite tasty. My main goal was to secure some bakery items for a party and while the selection looked a bit picked over, I had to remind myself that it was after 2 in the afternoon and the store had been open for quite a while at that point. After procuring a couple packs of loaf cake, we headed to the front though I unfortunately did not locate my favorite part of Metro Market: The Clearance Aisle! Hopefully I will find it next time. Sadly, despite the store being busy and bustling, only one grouping of self checkouts was open, which seemed short-sighted yet on brand for Metro Market.

Went to do my grocery shopping on May 10 at around 2 PM. Three of the items on my shopping list…read morefor out of stock.. They had a watermelon that was in the ad.. they had no strawberries that were in the ad. And they were out of Claussen pickles that were in the ad. And as far as rain check, the only rain check I could get with the strawberries. So three out of the six items I went shopping for or out of stock.. why shop at the store. We always tend to go to Sussex because they seem to have the items in stock but we decided to stop in here cause it was on our way home.. never do that again. My neighbor had the same issue. She's not shopping there yet either..
