If you're looking for authentic Mexican food bursting with flavor and fresh ingredients, I highly…read morerecommend you skip this place entirely. My recent visit was hands down the most disappointing dining experience I've ever endured. From the food to the service, everything was a lesson in how not to run a restaurant. The Food: A Bland Nightmare Mexican cuisine is celebrated for its bold spices, fresh herbs, and vibrant flavors, but this place somehow managed to suck the life out of every single dish. The guacamole tasted like it came straight out of a can, with a texture more akin to baby food and a complete absence of seasoning. The enchiladas were soggy and drowning in a sauce that resembled watered-down tomato soup, devoid of any spice or tang. Even the chips and salsa, the most basic staples of any Mexican restaurant, were a failure. The chips were stale, and the salsa was overly acidic and watery, with no hint of the robust flavors you'd expect from roasted tomatoes or chili. The crowning disappointment was the burrito. It was a sad, lukewarm lump stuffed with unseasoned rice, overcooked chicken, and a suspiciously slimy cheese sauce. Each bite was as unpleasant as the last, and I couldn't finish it--something I've never done at a Mexican restaurant before. The Service: Nonexistent The staff seemed entirely uninterested in their jobs or the diners. It took ages for someone to acknowledge our presence and seat us, despite the restaurant being almost empty (which should have been my first warning sign). Once seated, our server was inattentive and borderline rude, acting as though our requests for basics like water and napkins were unreasonable demands. Refills on drinks? Forget about it. The cherry on top was the long wait for our food, which, given the poor quality, clearly wasn't worth the time. The Ambience: A Fitting Match to the Food The decor was a mismatched mix of faded sombreros and tacky dollar-store decorations, and the music was either non-existent or blaring at an uncomfortable volume. The whole place felt neglected and unclean, which didn't inspire confidence in the kitchen. Overall Experience: Never Again I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience was so bad it feels like a public service to warn others. If you enjoy flavorless, poorly-prepared food served by a disinterested staff in an uninspiring environment, then this is the place for you. For everyone else, save your money and your taste buds--go anywhere else. Even a frozen microwave burrito from the grocery store would be a better option.

Having been doing business in Springfield for a couple of years,we naturally noticed when this new place was built and opened recently. Early reviews were so good that many reported eating here days in a row! Such was the quality and variety of items. My daughter beat me to be first to taste the dishes. But...she remembered to bring me a tantalizing taste of what's in store there! I received two enchiladas to go. This review is based upon my personal experience with that dish. And what an introduction! Flavor-filled and tasting like it came from a caring kitchen, these were the best of my Mexican food experience, one that dates back to 1976, and includes having tasted this cuisine in Mexico as we as all over the US. These enchiladas, although to go, arrived hot, beautiful and beautiful. The cheese was not average but full flavored an with strands that pulled like taffy when you brought a piece to your mouth. The beef gravy was thick and rich, pooled around the enchiladas just so. I believe the corn tortillas forming them tasted close to home made. I didn't taste the salsa myself but was told it too, was different and unique and tasted as if it too was house prepared. Soon, I'll go for a far greater immersion in menu items as this newcomer deserves close examination by all who love well prepared Mexican food items. You'll have many to choose from!
