going to bell is the worst thing you can do to your hair. i walked out thinking it looked amazing, but as the toner washed out, i started to realize that she had totally messed up my hair. While bleaching my hair, i'm guessing she accidentally bleached a part of the top of my head. she tried covering it up with a darker toner to match my natural color towards the top, but once that washed out, it looked horrible. $270 wasted, definitely don't recommend. if you're going to do something, do it right. and if you mess up, don't charge such a high amount, i'd pay that amount, for a job done right, not to someone who doesn't know what they're doing. read more

Everyone of their staff is awesome, but I really reccomend Denise because she always does a fantastic job. Hair magic !! She likes to sit down & talk w/ you before doing your hair, & she gives you options on what she can do & always asks what you like best. She really does look to make sure you're happy & that your hair will stay healthy. I've asked her to do my hair fire red one time & she did exactly what I wanted & exceeded my expectations.(she's too awesome) Its fun getting your hair done here. Even when you're sitting down for long hours its fine because the staff is funny & really nice. & GREAT CUstomer service. Everyone is so nice. The color bar is amazing. If you're getting your hair colored, check it out. I got a pedicure and they gave me wine which was such a nice touch. They don't have the massage chairs yet but they said they will be doing that soon. However, the guy giving me the pedicure, Frank, was super kind and made sure I was literally as comfortable as possible. I have really sensitive feet and the massage he gave me was really great. Denise was my stylist and she was absolutely wonderful! I havent had a real haircut in yearsss and im so glad I went to her! I wanted to make sure to keep my length as much as possible and she always made sure to show me exactly how much she was cutting, or where she started the layers, and how much she cut for my side bangs. I really appreciated her checking with me before she actually made the cut. She was really easy to talk to and made the haircut a very enjoyable experience! She even styled my hair for me at the end and I love the way she curled it! I will def be coming back for any hair needs :) read more

The girl at the front was desk was in a pretty awful mood when I arrived. She didn't offer me water, and she kept rolling her eyes at her boss. That made me slightly uncomfortable. But the real reason that I drove all the way to Riverside from San Dimas for a cut and bangs was VENA! I love that girl. No one. Not one single stylist I visited, before or after Vena moved too far away away from me, has been able to come close to the color and bang style. I even showed other stylists pictures of what Vena had done for me-- no success. EPIC, EPIC FAIL. I just don't get it, but I definitely get baby V! And she gets me-- and every other person who I have seen get out of her stylist chair. Oh, and the girl at the front desk is 'family,' so i guess she gets away with a little more than the average employee. That's why I give the place 4 stars. Vena deserves 10-- the girl at the desk deserves negative 6. read more

This place is THE Best! I have two daughters who wanted hair done for prom, we asked for an appointment and was given one even though they sounded pretty booked for the day, our appointment was late afternoon. Then someone canceled a morning appointment and Josie called me back and asked if was wanted that appointment instead, and WE TOOK IT! My girls were so very happy with their hair. My apologies for not remembering all their names but Wow! ALL of these ladies in this shop were great! Will definitely recommend! read more

Was look for something aside from barbershops (being a guy) and found Picasso's on Yelp! Went it and was greeted by Bell, and told her I've had pretty bad salon experience and she told me not to worry and asked what I wanted to do with my hair. I told her and set up an appointment. I went in today and she did an AWESOME job. It's one of the best haircuts I have ever had. Can hold conversations and the salon atmosphere is great. Everyone is so nice and friendly. Get the wash house, it's so good! Bell also recommended certain products and styles for my hair, which was a HUGE help. I think her knowledge is one of the best around. I came here and got a perm with jessica and let me tell you. I love it. Jessica is THE GIRL to go to if you want bouncy long lasting curls!! It is definitely some you will have to clear your schedule for though, depending on what kind of perm that you want. I wanted really tight curls (pink and grey rods) and she took her time to roll each one very tightly she was very patient and you could tell this is her passion because she takes her time to ensure she does a good job!! You can feel the love and girl curls don't bounce with out any love lol. She also knows how to CUT CURLY HAIR!!!!!!!! It was the BEST haircut I have ever gotten with curly hair and totally worth every penny. Lastly, the Paul Mitchell's hair products are to DIE for! I honestly felt like I've wasted to much money on Deva Curl and other high end products and that whole time there was Paul Mitchell moose for curly hair that's beautifully lightweight and flake free for a more reasonable price. She also recommended other curly hair products and I love them all, hydrating spray, curly leave in conditioner, and volume spray and I love them all!! Seriously I never had better hair in my life . I can't live without any of these products!! Over I'm so glad she & Paul Mitchell came into my life!!! read more

I called the day before to check on pricing, make an appt. I was told that first haircut is free and balayage is 75 I called the same day to check if i can come in earlier, i was told to just keep my appointment since they were booked up. Then i get a call back from them, no one leaves a message. I called back several times and no one picks up/busy tone. Who doesn't leave a VM these days..?? When i got there on my assigned timing, front desk person and Bell made me look like i was the one who did something wrong. When i asked why didn't u leave a VM, "your vm was not set up" ..total crap, i get voicemails everyday. I don't think these reviews about Bell are correct, she might have paid someone/friends to put these on yelp. She was very rude. Did not introduce herself, i was told to sit, i asked if she was Bell...she said ..yea. .. We talked about the color i wanted, showed her pics. After deciding, she tells me it will be $250. I ask her why is it so high as i always get my hair done in Santa Monica and its way less...she got so pissed that i compared her prices, she told me "you are comparing burger king to carls junior" Then she goes on and tells me that it will take 4-5 hours for this process, which seemed too high also as i've had this done before within 2-3 hours max. Anyway, overall, my experience was horrific. I had to pay for the haircut as i didn't do coloring. They lie to get you in the salon, don't say haircut is free if it isn't. Be HONEST. TELL ME THAT THE WHOLE THING ON THE PHONE, DONT MAKE UP BULLSHIT NUMBERS TO GET MY BUSINESS. THIS was the most horrific experience i have ever had in a salon, so very unprofessional. Very rude. Save yourself from this horror, go elsewhere. read more

After reading great reviews on Yelp, of course, I decided to give this place a try. They open at 10am and I walked in about 10:15am. Right away Cyndi greeted me and asked me if I wanted anything to drink. She served me crystal light in a nice goblet! I filled out a customer profile thing about what products I use in my hair and my hobbies, etc. I though that was nice that they keep those on file just to get a better sense of their customers. Since I was a walk in I told her I would take any stylist. She set me up with Kelly who is very nice! Kelly gave me a tour of the salon since it was my first time there. She asked me what kind of cut I wanted and other questions about my hair and how I style it. And I must say the end result was dead on! The washroom was my fav part. Its so Relaxing! The room is seperate from the main area and when you walk in the lights are dimmed and nice, calming music is playing. Kelly gave me the best scalp massage ever. At most places they just wash your hair and kinda massage it as they go. This was an actual massage! She did the scalp, underneath and part of my neck! I was probably in there for 15 mins at least while she washed my hair and also gave the massage. And another tid bit I liked was that when you lean back into the washbowl at most places your head just hangs there and that can leave quite a cramp in your neck sometimes especially if you are in that position for awhile. Well not at this place! They have something you can rest your head on! And as she styled my hair she told me everything she used in my hair and what it was for. I would recommend Kelly to anybody! She did a great job and I will be going back! Next time I will probably get color too. Check this place out you won't regret it! btw my pic on here is me with my new haircut read more

I have been following Denise since she was in school at Paul Mitchell! She has been my preferred stylist ever since. Denise has been with me through many years of hair phases from bright red highlights under chunky layers, perms, side bangs, blunt bangs, mini tapered bangs, side bangs again, shiny black goth color, old Hollywood style huge curls for my wedding ceremony, side swept curls for my reception, a hair donation which lead to a super fabulous bob and lastly dimensional luscious layers and face framing funky (but office appropriate) bangs. I moved to the east coast about 2 years ago and make an appointment with Denise every time I head back west. Denise has an incredible understanding of my hair growth patterns and how to accomplish my visions with what my hair is capable of. Her input and recommendations always bring light to the piecemeal ideas that I come in with. After a handful of failed visits to random salons, having my experiences with Denise to compare them to reminds me why I travel across the country to get a haircut. Picasso is very easy to get to with plenty of parking. There are a variety of stores and businesses in the same plaza that make errand running much more enjoyable with a fabulous new hairdo! My friends frequent the awesome vape shop (Vape Castle) across the street. They have a new juice bar where you can try out hundreds of different flavors! Everyone should pay a visit to Denise if they want an awesome salon experience. But she's all mine when I'm in town!! read more

Denise was absolutely wonderful! She not only engaged in great conversation, but took her time to ask what I wanted and showed me pics from her phone. She added her own elements and opinion and I was not disappointed at all. Very insightful and she was actually an instructor at Paul Mitchell so that was reassuring. She gave me the 5star full salon treatment. As she was cutting my hair she explained the technique she was using, how much she was cutting and why it was important. Also after each section or trimming she inspected it thoroughly and examined it. She made sure that everything had my approval. I typically don't like when women cut my hair because they are control freaks, but not Denise. I would definitely recommend this place to somebody who wants a stylish cut from an experienced stylist. read more

First off, I want to say that the customer service is awesome! The girls there are SO nice. The place is very nice as well. Looks very new and its chic. You wouldn't expect such a nice place in this area. My favorite part of the place was the "wash room" where u wash your hair. It's dark, soothing weird tribal music, candles and the shampoo smells sooo soo good. it's very relaxing! They even serve you water or tea while you wait and while being serviced! The price is pretty expensive but if you go during happy hour, you get it for 1/2 off which evens it out i guess. I like to pay about 20-25 bux for a hair cut/wash/style. My only beef with this plae is that the girl that did my hair took 2 hours. They weren't even busy. It took FOREVER. I only went here because the girl I go to was out of town and I was desperate. It does not take 2 hours to do a cut/style especially with my requested hair cut. It turned out nice I must say, but it took up most of my afternoon. I wish she could have talked to me more while she cut my hair to pass the time. I really hated sitting there for so long. I think it's cuz she is still new to cutting hair.... I doubt i'll ever be going back to this place. read more

Okay so I found this salon on yelp, so I figured I would do my part and review. I've actually gone twice in the last two weeks for seperate services. The salon itself is amazing. Paul Mitchell holds a special place in my heart, so for me the setup is heaven. I got heidi on both occassions as a walk in. I like her. The first visit i got color- basic color except for a couple of foils on each side. I have shoulder length fine hair , so not a lot of product being used. And I got a trim as well. The color and cut was great. Although the lightner used was not a high enough volume therefore my hair didn't life very well on the sides. That is fine to me because I'm not that high matnience. The part I thought was tacky was charging me for toner. For a salon so pricy, that really should be inclusive to any lightening of the hair. Once my hair was dry I did need to mention my bangs were uneven , there should have been some dry refining done. The customer service the first time was great . Cindy was at the front desk and friendly. However the girl who generally works the front I'm really not fond of. They selected a shampoo and conditioner for me and idecided on just the shampoo. I told her that was all I wanted she's like " just the shampoo not conditioner?" I'm like yeah . The only reason I was able to almost afford this is they were having happy hour , where my service was half off. Still my basic block color and trim came to $110!!!!!!! Never will I pay 200+ on my color. I mean this in riverside not Beverly hills or even orange county! So my first visit overall was good, but I probably will not be able to return for color. Okay second visit , they are still having half off and my bday is tomorrow so I figure I'll get a tea tree wash and dry. My impression kind of changed. The same receptionist was there, I asked to see a menu and she gave me a dirty look and acted like she had no clue what I was talking about. All the lights where off and the girls were all sitting looking through their purses. Heidi came up I told her what I wanted. We walked to wash area, and the youngest girl was passed out in the make up chair. Dressed ultra casual. When the obvious PM dress code is black. You knew the owner was not present. Heidi did a great job. She gives great massages and scalp massages, the wash room is awesome and relaxing like I needed. I did the T3 with a twist. She massaged my hands as well. She is really a sweet girl. I would reccommend her. If I can afford it I will go back to her. Although I'm pretty tempted to do my retouch at the Paul mitchell school in costa mesa for about 50$. Hey we are in a recession! read more

The "wash room" was nice but the actual work was meh and very overpriced. Also took all damn day.

I was referred to this salon by a friend and I must say that this was the best experience I've ever had at a salon. My appointment began with Cindy doing a hair consultation which I have never had before. She informed me of the whole process and cost before beginning my service.
