What a fucking disaster. I come in to get a manicure and pedicure upon coming in I am greeted by Jane who seems visibly annoyed. I tell her I would like to get a manicure and pedicure. She says ok that they would be able to do it right now. That said, I go in and pick my colors and before sitting down I show her an evil eye design that I would like to be done on my ring finger. She says she can do it no problem. So! I get the base of my nails done by another woman. After they dry Jane takes over to do the design. When I arrive to her table she looks at the design and asks me do I care about the colors. I said it doesn't matter, she can do whatever colors so long as it's the same design. She does it and leaves my finger nail smudged and totally unlike the design I provided. I asked her if she could re-do it because it was smudged from the picker she was using to make the dots. She calls me terrible and says no one else complains. At this point, I am in complete shock because she herself sees the issues of the nail polish being smudged and missing paint and thinks it's acceptable. So I said since I am terrible, I would like to leave and stop this service entirely. (Because who really wants to give their money to someone who would call them terrible because of their poor work as a first response.) So then she pushes her seat back, grabs acetone and pours it over my finger nails and then tosses a cotton ball onto hand rest? Couldn't even hand it to me like a civilized person. It was nuts. Now as I'm walking out to leave I try to take a business card so I can leave review. She then scatters around the salon to snatch all the business cards that she could find laying around and goes "we don't have business cards." Haha, so I just look at her bewildered and grabbed one as I walked out the door. This experience was simply outrageous. My advice, don't go to this salon and if you do, avoid Jane. She's a true nightmare and lacks any kind of customer service skills. read more

I came to PIA Nails for a pedicure after searching for a nail salon nearby. I called and made an appointment a few days prior to my service. I was taken immediately upon arrival on time. I was impressed by the sanitary methods being taken throughout the entire service. The nail color selection is quite nice for regular polish. I thoroughly enjoyed my pomegranate spa pedicure done by Gloria. She approached my feet delicately and her work is detail oriented, something I appreciate very much as I've found it difficult to find a relaxing pedicure in the area. I very much look forward to coming back here regularly for pedicures with her. I highly recommend coming here if you want to be pampered, feel safe and relaxed. Ps, the owner Jinhee is super friendly and was mindful the entire time of making sure my parking meter was being taken care of without me having to ask. Pia Nails is very good, very clean with attention to hygienic practices. I have been going there for 7 years & have recommended this nail salon to several people who have all been pleased, and these are picky people who would have told me if they weren't. They all were happy with the recommendation and continue to patronize Pia Nails . Not sure about the couple of bad reviews, but this salon is in Cliffside Park, NJ so bad reviews from the Bronx, NY, San Francisco, CA or Hauppague ,Long Island, NY have to be suspect. This is the only nail salon in the areas I go to. I tried other nail salons with great reviews but they are never as good as PIA's. It's a small business but the staff is amazing. They really take their time with doing your nails. I also get my eyebrows done here and the two ladies who do eyebrows are the only ones I trust in the world to do them, they're very precise. Would definitely recommend this place! I always call ahead to set and appointment only because there's not a lot of workers so they get busy quickly. If you want to be treated like a paying customer should DO NOT COME HERE! These employees are terribly rude. When I say rude I mean no customer service skills or mannerisms whatsoever. I made an appointment for a gel mani and pedi. We arrived at our appointment time of 6:00PM and still had to wait about 20-25 minutes. As I was getting a pedi done another nail tech came up to my friend who has sitting next to me and said in Spanish (assuming I didn't speak Spanish) is she doing her nails also? (Referring to me) My friend said yes, she's also getting a gel mani. She starts complaining in Spanish saying they have to leave, mind you it's 6:30PM. Their sign posted says they close @7:30PM. As my nail tech (Martha) was filing my nails I tell her I want a French manicure and she says no I can't do that it's too late and I have to leave (the time is around 7:15PM) and again starts speaking in Spanish complaining and speaking about me. At this point I'd had it with the disrespect so I asked her to just stop doing my nails. She continues complaining and shoving things around as she walks away. I'm a licensed cosmetologist so I walk over to the wall to verify the licenses posted and it turns out she wasn't even licensed. Nor were the other employees present licensed with the exception of the owner and ONLY one out of the four other techs (Sonia) was posted up on the wall as licensed. None of the nail techs were licensed. I suggest you save yourself a trip, time and money and not waste it on this establishment. Terribly disappointed in the way they handled this. read more
