My primary physiotherapist was Joanne. My first visit, she put me through several exercises to assess my injury. The next step was to go over recommended exercises to help with my recovery. She let me know that if I had any reservations about being in the common area with everyone else, they were able to set me up somewhere else. Not every physio facility is able to do that so this was definitely a bonus. Subsequent visits were more treatment oriented like using the TEMS machine and some soft tissue treatment. They had assistants of both genders and I was asked if I was okay being treated hands on by those of the opposite gender. The staff are all very pleasant and courteous. Very happy to have my treatments here.

All three are kind and personable, and made the recovery process much smoother and more pleasant than it could have been. Thanks!! See my earlier reviews for additional detail. It is a very difficult and lonely road to travel when one lives with constant, never ending pain. Aside from the fact that it is depressing, debilitating and frustrating to try and live a normal life, it is also very degrading and embarrassing to constantly have people treating you, listening to your sad story and at times wiping away your tears. By chance one day I walked into HealthMax Physiotherapy clinic as it was very close to my home and I decided to try one more clinic before giving up altogether. I had the good fortune of meeting with the wonderful doctors, therapists and staff and immediately felt like part of a caring family and I have been receiving treatment ever since. Dr. Mirza not only devoted hours of his valuable time to talk to me, often late into the evening so as to try and determine the correct course of action for my various issues, but he also made a point of following up and looking into many different options to help me in every way possible. He gave me hope which was something I lost a while back. I cannot thank the doctors, therapists and staff at HealthMax enough for all that they have done and continue to do for me. I believe I have finally found the right people to help me on this path of recovery, people who will not let me give up even though at times it is so difficult. I will be forever grateful and indebted to them all. Lauren Thornhill

Without the help of Myodetox, I wouldn't have been able to persevere and progress in my fitness…read moregoals. I injured my lower back a few years ago from performing deadlifts, and was told by my family doctor that the injury would forever restrict my training, especially in the lower back which I was advised to avoid training completely. I was told that I would ultimately have to accept the fact that my back was injured and not much could be done to treat it. Luckily with the help of another passionate gym-goer, I was referred to Myodetox. I was told they performed wonders with rehabilitation regarding gym related injuries, as they're marketed to combine methods of chiropractic treatments, physiotherapy, and massage therapy. I was referred to Boris who upon our first appointment, was quick and alert to understand what my issues were, and educated me about my injury and the treatments which were going to be done in order to remedy the injury. After just a few sessions comprised of treatment and performing instructed exercises at home on my end, I was able to deadlift again! Soon enough, I was able to resume my training regime normally, and I couldn't have been happier as this went against the belief of my family doctor! If you have any concerns regarding your bodily functions, whether it's a gym related injury, tense parts of your body, or even require a posture alignment, the team at Myodetox quite literally has your back, and is more than competent at attending to and finding remedies for whatever concerns you may have. The analogy I like to think of for Myodetox treatments are if we're cars and the treatments are like service check-ups, cars can't keep running properly without proper tuning and service maintenance, so it's important we attend to and maintain our bodies in order to live healthily while performing movements in a pain-free manner. Definitely check out Myodetox if you have any bodily function concerns, as they do indeed perform wonders! I've been visiting them for a few years now and look forward to future sessions!
