I suppose that everyone's experience is different, and it depends on how much discomfort you are in, and how long you wait. I arrived to an empty waiting room. I was taken relatively quickly, and felt the doctor and PA took time to diagnose my affliction. They performed the appropriate test and with little to go on, managed a diagnosis. It was nice, when out-of-town, to be able to find a place to help with a urgent medical condition (certainly not life threatening) and get treated quickly. This place is absolutely terrible. We are here now for my son's shoulder injury and the place is completely empty and it still took them 45 minutes to take him into a room. The receptionist was extremely rude and spent the entire time looking up wigs and hair extensions on her computer. Horrible customer care. I will NEVER return to PIC or Wellnow. The visit seemed routine (though ultimately was a misdiagnosis), but the billing was horrendous. Since they use third-party billing, you can't talk to anyone at the location about it so it's only over the phone at an unknown location and they have refused on multiple occasions to give me access to a supervisor. It feels like their business strategy is to charge and hope people will pay instead of contest seemingly erroneous charges. I paid the first bill in full, but then months later received a second bill for labs that were supposed to have gone thru Quest but hadn't. (I paid Quest directly for some of the labs they sent...seemed weird that they weren't all on one bill.) I spoke to them multiple times to try and rectify the bill and after 6 EOBs, they finally they adjusted the bill and I paid it in full immediately. Now a month later they're calling and threatening to send me to collections for a new amount I've never seen a physical bill for. After talking with them, there's now a surprise new charge. The location itself is fine, and they might be able to help, but there's a serious issue you need to know about. If you give them a credit card for your co-pay--whether in person or over the phone--they will store your card information permanently, and you will have no ability to remove it. I strongly recommend not providing a credit card and reading every form carefully before agreeing to anything. What should be a simple $30+ co-pay can quickly balloon into $300 or more. Their billing process is opaque, and calls are outsourced overseas, where representatives often repeat the same few scripted lines without resolving issues. Once your card information is in their system, it's essentially locked there. In all my years using medical portals, I've never encountered this kind of restriction. Please take the negative reviews seriously--this applies not only to this location but to the entire WELLNOW organization. Their practices feel predatory and deceptive, almost on par with the tactics of a shady towing company. I will never return, given the time, stress, and frustration I've experienced. Beware!!! Went in to have my son checked on, as he had tooth pain. Went over what i had done at home to help him with the pain and they informed me thats all that could be dine and would just have to see a dentist so they can look further into it. The NP/RN leaves and another nurse comes in to test my son for covid/flu/rsv, even though we didnt go in for any respiratory issues or mention it. Was explained its standard procedure. WARNING: I came here with my husband, and I was really sick. We have health insurance through his employer. First off, it was an empty waiting room with a stupid QR code. We filled out the information. I accidentally filled it out wrong. So I had to refill it out. Then their computer system couldn't "talk" to our insurance and they wanted us to pay an unknown amount to be seen. Yeah, no. We left. My husband called his insurance, and it turns out that since this place is notoriously known for insurance issues. Our insurance said it is better to go to an Urgent Care that is associated with a hospital or physician's group. Even CVS Minute Clinic has taken our insurance no issues. I went there once for a UTI. Like others I had an appointment but sat in an empty waiting room. Upon finally being escorted to a room I sat and waited for the PA. Yes, you have a UTI and we will send the script over to your pharmacy. The sample will be sent out and we will call you if the lab states that this antibiotic will not clear the infection. Over a week goes by and I still had the infection. I called several times only to be told that the lab report still had not been read and they had the report back for a week. Now understandably upset I need to speak to someone in charge. No callback. I call again the next day and am told that a new script was called in the night before. And you mean someone couldn't let me know so I could have started the medication? We were very busy....So for over a week I took an antibiotic that I didn't need because someone dropped the ball and didn't read the lab report that had been sitting around for a week. I had an appointment for 3:15pm, and did the online preregistration. It said to arrive 15 minutes early, so I got there around 2:55pm, and texted "here" we instructed. Around 3:30 I needed to use the restroom and went inside and found out they were indeed behind schedule. The front desk staff was nice, and suggested I could go home and come back. But I told her I don't live nearby, which is why I MADE AN APPOINTMENT. At around 4:10 the triage nurse called me finally, and soon after our phone conversation she brought me back into a room. The staff here is very friendly (notably the nurses are great! The PA was super rushed hardly listened to me...). I would probably came back for their care, I just don't understanding the scheduling system and why I had to waste over an hour of gas while my car idled in the 90 degree heat. read more

They are everything that is wrong with customer service at healthcare. From reception, to care provider, communication, interaction, attitude.. not one single redeeming quality about this place. Went for an appointment that they said was in and out and waited for almost an hour before I was called in. Then they disappeared again for another hour When asked about how long it would be. The answer should be simple 'it will be another xx minutes' ... instead you get the condescending physician assistant start being aggressive that he is the only one working. A sorry would have been nice but if that is too much of a leap for this establishment, facts that answer the question would suffice. How much longer do I need to wait. Well here is an idea geniuses. If you are staffed at 50% capacity, decrease your appointments by 50% too and let people know when they are making appointments that you are running super late. There are other places and people can decide. No one has unlimited free time to wait around. You are a service, nothing less, nothing more. Act like it and not that you are doing the patients some favor. Proactive communication would be nice. It's not a novel concept. Also an apology for pathetic service is not going to make you be a less of a person. But again if that is too much of a stretch for your EQ and interpersonal skills, just state the answer, it will be xx minutes And please, let me know I will be seen by a Physician Assistant and not a doctor, so I can decide whether I want to come to this establishment or go elsewhere..otherwise I am free to pay with Monopoly money instead of dollars. I went in to do a drug screening for a job. Everything was okay. Everyone was doing their job. I noticed that lady who was checking people in didn't take a woman's temperature or changed her gloves, she was checking people in and using the computer. I got called in for the test, completed it and the nurse told me to go out through the door where they were doing Covid-19 testing!!!!! I was hesitant and told her that I wasn't comfortable going through those doors. She told me that it was fine because the people were inside their cars. As soon as I opened the door, there was a guy with his window rolled all the way down in the process of getting the test done. I was livid at this point and ran to my car. I don't understand why I had to go through that door instead of the front if it's about safety. read more

Unreal. This needs to be a ZERO star review. Made an appointment for 2:30, sat in the parking lot till almost 4, waiting for a call. My phone rings and I run inside; surprise! *Supposedly* no one had called me, but they evidently couldn't send me back out to my car - again. I finally see a PA (who was sympathetic, but used a blood pressure cuff that was entirely too large resulting in an inaccurate reading) and am told 4 people are ahead of me, *none* of whom were there when I arrived. (BTW: A woman who had arrived after 3 pm was already leaving with an ankle brace.) I am also told I had to wait on my car because I was "sick." Others were in the waiting room and they could be there because they weren't "sick." And yet! They were *all* seen before me. I am also told that I will be seen "as long as I'm in the building by 4" (closing on Saturdays.) So if I hadn't come in would they have just left me sitting out there in my car, still waiting? The "receptionist" (haha) was cold, uncommunicative and dismissive. What a HORRIBLE way to treat people. Don't take appointments if people aren't seen in a reasonable amount of time, and don't take walk ins before appointments. Never again. read more

The staff is rude, they don't triage there AT ALLLLLLL. My bf got bitten by a dog and was bleeding all morning until I finally took him in and waited over 2 hours (I asked for gauze as soon as we got there. He sat down and I sat on the floor next to him to keep pressure to the open wound from dripping on the floor. When we almost hit the 2 hour mark of waiting I asked what place he is in and the lady said "he's next" ". I saw people who was there before us go in by order and then when we were next, they called a person who came WAYYYY after us bc " the trauma room isn't ready" like did they not care that he was there bleeding in the waiting room for hours? I will never be bring him back here ever again. When they finally called us in, they put us in a "regular" room. Then we waited a while in there, then finally moved to the trauma room which was completely unnecessary to wait so long for that and to have a person go in who waited less than us because they didn't do much (I explained why, next paragraph). The Doctor or whatever her title, was nice to us but said he only needs antibiotics & they would flush out the wound and patch it up. No stitches. She said they couldn't close it because they need everything to drain out but they would make sure his wound would close properly. They have the x-ray tech doing duties of a physician assistant or a registered nurse without the proper training. (Those careers take 4+ years of school) and while an x-ray tech can be completed less than 2 years. X-ray techs are great careers because it's less patient contact because you're just taking x-rays or ultrasounds. But an x-ray tech shouldn't be the one flushing out my mans wound and patching it up. They flushed his wound with saline, put an antibiotic ointment on it, a nonstick bandaid with a self stick wrap to keep pressure on it, said he had to keep the bandage on till Monday (to follow up). Today is Sunday, that shit fell off that same night we came back from the doctors (friday). I went to the store myself to find what he needed. If does not get better, we will have to see his primary doctor. But he seems to be doing well so far. I got nothing but complaints here, my condolences to patients who came here with pain who needed urgent help but wasn't treated properly and accordingly because it's first come first serve, when it should be triaged. To the x-ray tech if he reads this, thank you for being so polite towards us and doing work you didn't sign up for but you seem happy. You better be getting paid more than what you deserve for everything you're doing. I'm upset with the company itself. read more

Brought my son here last night because there wasn't a wait. Walked in and was instantly turned away to go to the ER. My son was having high fevers for two days and had no effect with Alternating Tylenol and Motrin. The girl at the front desk asked me if he was dehydrated and said that they can't do IV fluids or get results right away. Immediate care but can't get immediate results. Omg Makes complete sense!!! I just wanted my son to get checked up because I was worried it was the flu. Ended up at the CDH ER and sent home with an RX of Zofran. No IVF needed or any blood work. I don't understand why this place couldn't have checked him out and if it was something they couldn't treat then yes I'll bring him to the ER. But this girl gave no care in the world. My boyfriend was suppose to come and get tested a Wednesday because his job had asked him to make a covid test and the place told him they didn't have any equipment,they only have equipment Mondays,Wednesday and fridays and they assured him they would have equipment by Friday. We come Wednesday,Thursday and Friday. Today he was standing in the line and the employees told everyone that was in the line outside that they had to go because they didn't have anymore equipment. Took a coworker here . First of all jo handicap door. So I went in to ask for a wheelchair and there were 2 front desk girls looking at their phones , they told me to take the chair that it was fine. Once I came back to the door with my coworker they look at me struggling opening the door and trying to get my coworker they it and instead of helping they just kept looking at me while I struggle going they the door with the wheelchair. Slightly fractured my finger and went in to have it looked at. The doctor took an x-ray and gave me an outdated splint which didn't fit. They coded this as a surgery. They asked me to follow up with them. This follow up triggered a automatic coding as a surgery and billed me 900 dollars. After insurance I was asked to pay over 500 dollars. Upon speaking with both my insurance agency and Physians Immediate care they did not attempt to work with me on the coding issue. I let them know as a student who works part time I simply cannot afford this bill and wish I had been informed of this caveat in the billing procedure. No transparency of billing and an unethical pricing scheme. This exemplifies the root of the problem with the medical and insurance industries in this country. Physicians Immediate care does not care about its patients and will be deceptive in their coding to draw unnecessary charges from their patients. H The health care of their patients is not their priority as a company. I am awaiting a call from corporate and will follow up with information on what is their business model, the welfare of sick people or maximizing profits over people. read more

This location is really bad with billing & we got overcharged by 200$. We came in for a normal cough checkup, there were no patients in the Clinic. We were in and out within 20 min that included 10 minutes for registration and a less than 10 min exam by the Physician and Nurse who took vitals. Later we were billed for 45+ Minutes for Physician exam which came close to 300$. We are still fighting that bill and after various calls and followups they have not been able to resolve this issue & keep sending bills. Looks like it will be a long fight. Very bad first experience with Physician's Immediate Care, we went there simply for convenience but it proved to be a pain. Update 05/31: I tried reaching out to their billing department 6-7 times, who directed me to compliance department every time. but nobody from compliance department will pick up the call or call back. I have tried for almost 06 months with the same result. The billing couldn't help & the compliance won't talk. Such nasty people & this is a bad bad experience. I am paying the bill and moving on. My wife took our toddler for a covid rapid test. She got there 10 minutes before the booked appointment. She is 8 months pregnant and they made them wait 90 minutes in the car. These people completely lacked any compassion for them and they had to suffer through this whole ordeal when this was supposed to be a quick test. We will not return. read more
