Vita is state of the art physical therapy. Dry needling, specific stretches with a plan for exercises I do at home They provide personal one on one treatment. I'm overwhelmed by their proficiency and treatment. Let's be honest. All PT Phds have Doctorates. Vita personnel have added education and are better qualified. In closing....Thank You Vita!!!!

The evaluation is molded by the person working with you. At Vita I was fortunate to be assigned to Joe. He is cerebral and knowledgeable with an eclectic array of skills. His multi-faceted approach is ideal for someone such as myself, as templates never fit. I am not the norm. Joe understands movement, strength, body manipulation, and the gestalt of health. My aches, inflexibility, and aging are handled with analysis, searching for what in his bag of tricks will work best. Joe is like a Zen Master, and I leave Vita feeling exponentially better. The facility itself is clean, modern and comfortable, with enough space to feel private. Jennifer, Barit, and Gina, the front desk staff, greet you with a down to earth welcome, but they are also worldly, in a refreshing manner. My conversations are always enlightening, plus they are organized and keep the scheduling together. They use technology to make everything seamless. I have encountered PT in an array of cities throughout the United States. Vita is the best of them all.

Dr. Brewer was my doctor and I never could see him I had to see a backup nurse want to be doctor…read moreshe was the worst and the sad part two times that I came there she handed me a card asking me how I felt if I felt like a man or woman today, talk about a place pushing an ideology, worst service ever never. They claim they handed me paperwork to tell me about my care for the day so I miss appointments in the future that they claim they give me but I don't know because they failed to give me my follow-up care paperwork, I highly recommend you go somewhere else for the health and safety of your family

Very mixed experiences here. Have been taking my toddler there since birth for all well check ups…read more Have always had to wait 10 to 15 minutes in the lobby to be called back and then another 10 to 15 in the room for the doctor to get there. In general experiences have been fine. Not great, or exceptional, just basic and fine. Today I was running behind for my appointment, as toddlers will make you do, and when I got there 10 minutes late I was told that my appointment had been canceled. At no point in time was I made aware of this specific timeframe policy. Then the front desk called back and spoke with the nurse practitioner who was there, and still available for our scheduled appointment, but refused to see us even briefly. What kind of service is this? I understand that there is a schedule that needs to be kept, and I left work early and did my best to get my child there from day care in a timely fashion, however life happens! If you are a family practice and often see families with young children I would expect a bit more flexibility. What infuriates me the most is the fact that the nurse practitioner was there and available however refused to even see us for a short time! Why? The front desk's explanation when I brought up jow long I wait for the dr and still se him was that the dr is more flexible. Well then this nurse should get a different job or shouldn't be taking pediatric appointments. Very disappointing!

I had a very bad experience at this place that had rather drastic consequences…read more First I should mention that sometimes physical therapists maximize their income by having more than one patient per hour. They can bill twice as much. What they do is show a client an exercise, have the client do the exercise by themselves, go help someone else, then go back to the original client while client 2 is doing their exercise. The PT goes back and forth. Of course this means that the therapist doesn't watch the client do the exercise to make sure that they're doing it the right way. If you don't do the exercise the right way, you can make things worse But sometimes what the patient needs is not an exercise but manual therapy to loosen tight, guarded muscles and increase range of motion. This is both time and labor intensive. I went to Southern Lakes because it was very near where I lived. I needed to rehab my shoulder after shoulder surgery. Southern Lakes is organized in a very strange way. Therapy assistants do the therapy and then go to the owner, a physical therapist, when they have questions and so forth. In other words, you don't necessarily get seen by the actual physical therapist. The worst problem was that I didn't need exercises at all. I needed to have my range of motion increased after the surgery. But I didn't know this. So instead, I got the general strengthening exercises instead of the range of motion manual therapy. When I went back to the doctor, he immediately told me to go see somebody else. By then, the range of motion problem was major. So I had to be sedated and have the frozen shoulder moved manually by the doctor in a way that would have been too painful had I been awake. If I had gotten the proper treatment in the first place, I could have avoided this. I had to have the frozen shoulder procedure twice. When I explained all of this to my new therapist, he told me everything I have disclosed about the way to maximize profits. Or maybe the problem was that the therapist didn't know how to treat me. Either way, I simply wouldn't go back to this place. On the positive side, I got a t-shirt.

Bummer. I felt all out-of-whack in my own body and needed to be realigned. My understanding of Rolfing as a discipline was next to none, other than a familiarity to the name when I would see ads in Whole Life Times Mag. Yet I found myself looking up rolfers on yelp and Rolfworks/Lynn looked best with all glowing reviews. Sounds good to me. I called to make an appointment and the next one for new clients was in 2 months! Say what?!?! I was in pain but in demand means quality work right? Ok sign me up! I will wait.. and I am so glad I did. Lynn practices out of her home on the eastside of town. The spacious treatment room located upstairs is very clean and inviting. She's got a warm, quiet, grounded demeanor... a practitioner you can really open up and trust. I just completed the 10 Session series with Lynn and while my posture is not perfect, she's worked miracles on it. My sessions were never painful and I always walk out of her purple victorian feeling rejuvenated. You know when a healer has that magic touch... an intuitive knowing of which spot to press and work on? Lynn's got that gift and combined with a deep understanding of her craft and continuously learning new skills (she's always taking new classes)... it's a stellar combination. My last session was a few weeks ago and I am still feeling the benefits of her work on a daily basis. She's taught me exercises to do at home to strengthen my legs and feet, as well being more aware of my body in space. My fascia/connective tissues are so so thankful for her gentle and powerful touch. I am standing taller, walking better all because of her. If your body is needing a little or a ton of TLC... Lynn's your girl. And when you arrive for your appointment and see the big black dog chillin' by the door? Don't be scared... she's a sweetie. Open the door and Lynn will greet you with a smile and help you along your merry way... with more spring in your step!
