Never asked any further questions and advised my orthotics would be ready in 4 weeks. When they came in they were just flimsy foam pads like I had bought at Target. That time, I did not see Dr. Amiot but an assistant. The orthodics were too big for my shoes and so the assistant cut them down with a scissors to fit. They do nothing for my problem. I was told to come back in a month. I found Dr. Amiot very aloof and unfriendly, as was the girl at the desk. I would never go back to that office nor to Dr. Amiot.

I had gotten to the point of not being able to put my left sock on myself due to hip pain. I had…read morebeen an active walker, averaging between four and five miles a day for the last thirty years. Now, however, my hip prevented me from walking almost any distance. My general practitioner recommended I see Dr. Kehoe at Aspen Orthopedics. Dr. Kehoe recommended Dr. Printz for my hip replacement surgery. Since you're reading these reviews, you probably are trying to find a good Orthopedic surgeon. I'd say look no further than Dr. Printz. As far as I'm concerned, he could not have done a better job on my surgery. I'm back to walking three miles a day, six weeks after surgery. I still have a little achiness and swelling, but that's getting better every week. So, if you've got hip pain get it fixed by Dr. Printz ASAP, don't let yourself suffer. Dr. Printz did an excellent job communicating with me and addressing all of my questions. Also, a shout-out to Holly, the doctor's administrative assistant, for giving me sound advice and getting me an earlier surgery date from someone who canceled out. Thanks to everyone at Aspen Orthopedics, especially the New Berlin location, for getting back to being my old self again.

There are a few locations, all the same greedy company. I was referred to a Jamie Edwards by my…read moreAscension nurse practitioner, the primary care professionals at Ascension Oak Creek are usually excellent. When I called the Orthopedic Institute of Wisconsin to schedule the appointment I wasted a lot of time calling when they don't have a scheduler answering the phone and I only got some answering service that can't take a message, can't schedule, why bother answering the phone? When I finally got a scheduler she wasted a good amount of my time and patience asking about my insurance. I'm well insured, Medicare and a supplemental, but she said she couldn't confirm that I have any insurance and wouldn't make the appointment. Not a single question about my health. I contacted the nurse practitioner, who by the way responds quickly via MyChart message (in contrast to the Orthopedic Institute which is stuck in a 20th century style of telephone only communication) who gave me the name of another orthopedic surgeon, unfortunately also with Orthopedic Institute. Another round of trying to call and finally getting a scheduler, this time she was able to find my records from a prior visit (I have spinal stenosis) and then implied I had done something wrong because my insurance had changed. Yes it changed, I retired, I became eligible for Medicare, this should be available information to anyone doing scheduling. So after taking more time to submit my new information, only then would she schedule me....for two weeks out. Nothing sooner, no concern for how I feel (I'm in pain), no sympathy whatsoever, all they are concerned with is my ability to pay. I asked if they have a cancelation list, they do not, "because it's a big clinic with a lot of providers." Shouldn't that mean that there are more cancelations that could be filled? I guess they don't care since they must bill for cancelations. To top it all off, the appointment isn't for the appointment time, I have to be there earlier (so make the appointment for the time you want me there!) and I must bring all my insurance cards. Trust issues, even though on the phone call she verified my insurance they need to check again before giving me any treatment. If you have any choice in the matter, find someplace else for orthopedic care. Some place that actually cares about your health more than payment.

The office staff doesn't give a shit, and couldn't be less helpful. Get ready for phone tag hell.
