Other choices are available, but I didn't feel like soup or anything. The Peking duck (49) was not bad, though they didn't do a good job of cleaning the fat off the skin (which proper Peking duck is supposed to have), and the duck wasn't all that flavorful - maybe cause the sauce and green onions didn't taste right. The dish is really made for about 10 people as part of a family-style dinner, so I possibly just had a bit too much of the same flavor, but I thought the Peking duck was just mediocre. I've had much better lettuce wraps before, and don't think I'll be returning to Yum Yum, even though it may be the best for Peking duck in Brissy. It didn't live up to my expectations, and just got me craving for Great China's peking duck. Theirs is good enough that I'll put up with their unfriendly and inattentive service just to get some of their duck (and crab and buns)! Ah, I miss good Chinese food...

This will always be the place I spotted a celebrity in Centenary. Who else did I sit behind but…read moreBernard Fanning from Powderfinger. The little restaurant is a bit tiny inside, and echoey as I found out, so we did spend most of the time not focussing on our food, but on the conversation on the next table. Hey, it's not like we interruped him, we were the only other people in there! The next time we did focus on the food, and while the peking duck this restaurant boasts is pretty yummy (3.5/5 i'm a bit of a peking duck nazi) there are other dishes which compliment that style as well. Plus, you can come in and buy some BBQ meats hanging in the front display window for take away, you just tell them how much, they chop it up and off you go. The dry beef ho fan is quite delicious and packed full of flavour, and I really did love their roast pork and tofu hot pot. Both are tasty and leave you wanting more. I know that a lot of places have given this place raving reviews, evidence of the newspaper and magazine articles are cut out and sticky taped to the front door. I know that people like Bernie from Powderfinger even go there. But i've been to my fair share of chinese tucker places, and while this place has been highly rated, I can't say it's made my top 5. Go there for the duck and a few select dishes, you won't be disappointed. But make no mistake... this place is famous for it's duck... not it's dishes.

Que Huong is a difficult name to remember but the food is unforgettable…read more Whenever people ask me to recommend the best Vietnamese food around, I tell them to check out this place. Firstly, you know its genuine Vietnamese cooking because it's located in Darra - suburb of all things Vietnamese. Secondly, try their signature chilli crab which I guarantee will silence all sceptics. Just don't wear your best clothes, be prepared to get your hands dirty and leave your table manners at home. This is a dish that you have to suck, slurp and bite through to savour every last morsel. If you're not after extravagant seafood, their pho noodles, vermicelli salads and do-it-yourself hand rolls are equally tasty. In fact, we have a rule whenever we dine here to try at least one new dish and we've never yet been disappointed. Take a look at my uploaded photos saved over many meals at Que Huong but be warned. Photos can cause irrational behaviour due to hunger pains. The restaurant is pretty large with two levels but it can get crowded on the weekends so make sure you book ahead of time.

Nearly every table had the house special - chilli crab and boy they weren't wrong. Topped it with oysters, crispy skin chicken - i over ate.. :) compared to other restaurants for value the crab was cheap @42/kg!! If u can travel outside of the city, this IS the real Vietnamese. If you know viet food, it is rare for restaurants to get the crispy skin chicken right

Interesting how there isn't a review yet for this place…read more My family has been coming here for years, especially my parents. The Chinese food here is authentic Cantonese style. My parents like to order their steamed fish which isn't cheap but it is so good. The "sang choy bao" or lettuce wraps are really good, very flavorful, and there usually isn't enough of it to go around. I want at least 2 cups but usually, there is only 1 for each person. The thin fried noodles (vegetarian) -- "see yau wong chow meen" -- is stellar! Perfectly dry like it should be and flavor-packed. The only thing I didn't love was the crispy skin chicken. The skin wasn't really crispy. Each time I go home, this is one of those restaurants where we will go for at least one meal. It's good to know that it's remained consistent through the years.

Here's why: - Warm welcome from the charming and funny manager upon entry. - Were introduced to George the fish (we sat next to his tank). - Very friendly, smiling wait staff had nice chats with us whenever they brought something to the table. - Complimentary prawn crackers were served as a starter while we perused the menu. - They make the best salt and pepper tofu ever (speaking as someone who doesn't usually like tofu). - Delicious braised chicken with cashews and sizzling Mongolian beef. Best in town! - Nice atmosphere and full of happy diners having the best time!

Was super stoked, but then was super sad as it doesn't taste the same anymore. We've been patronizing Kim Khanh for years now -- like close to 10 years, probably through several owners -- and it's the first time I was slightly disappointed with my experience. The portions have shrunk -- I'd much rather they raise the prices and leave the portions alone. I thought the bun bo hue was decent, nice broth and not greasy. The fresh spring rolls were not great. Bo luc lac was nice and tasty. We always get the banh hoi -- like I said, shrunk in size like by 30%. Hope it improves.... it's been our family fave for years now. Sad to see it go down hill.

I'm not one of those people who will repeatedly patronise the same restaurant but I do have a regular rotation system happening for cheap, fast Asian food and Kim Khanh is in that rotation. The restaurant won't win any prizes for interior decor unless being kitsch makes a comeback but for flavoursome, fresh Vietnamese fare, try their pork ball and vermicelli hand rolls.
