A Glenelg institution at the western end of Jetty Road. Good trad menu, their satays and larp are highlights. Good drinks list. Casual dining - be sure to book on weekends read more

We were taken to this place because the Thai place at the Marina is apparently no good - and we were pleasantly surprised. Phuket Thai has great mild-to-spicy food in a quietish ambience with good attentive service. The food is your typical Australianised Thai food but to be honest you are not going to get an authentic Thai experience south of Darwin... so don't stress out! read more

This was my first visit to this restaurant and to be honest it will be my last. Maybe it was an off night for the chef!?? I ordered the red beef curry with bamboo shoots and "basil" I looked everywhere for the basil only to find none. Why advertise an ingredient and not deliver it?? The beef was in chunks unlike the standard curries from most Thai restaurants I have had in the past and enjoyed . also not a lot of flavour and way too much oil skimming my plate . The other dish of Prawns and seasonal veggies was bland and the veggies not even cooked .. Not up to standard considering the price. On par with a food court meal . read more

I've only tried this place the once, and although I'm only giving it three stars, it wasn't because I didn't enjoy the food. Because I did. In my opinion, the red beef curry that I had here was one of the better renditions of that particular dish that I've had in Adelaide. I thought the flavours were pretty close to being spot on, and I was also quite happy with the price. I mean, it's not a cheap night out, but it's not unreasonable either. The other dishes we had were alright, but not amazing. They weren't ridiculously off the mark, I just wasn't overly impressed. The let down was that service was on the slow side and it was really very noisy. It's possible that it was just the night that I was there, but that's my experience, so take it with a grain of salt. I'd happily grab takeaway from here though. read more

Fantastic chicken soup and great Pud Thai. Service was excellent. Would definitely go back again.

We have dined out at least twice a week for over 30 years and have a good feel for diverse Adelaide restaurants. We find that while there are many good restaurants, there are just a couple that for some reason, we keep getting drawn back to, as if addicted. Phuket Family Thai Restaurant is one of those and is in our opinion the best Thai Restaurant we have encountered. We put this down to a few things - family run restaurants are consistently better than others; freshness of ingredients and the way they are put together; consistency; quality of food and the ability to taste individual flavours; and quantity for price. Phuket ticks all of these boxes every time. It can get very busy and a bit noisy, so we try to dine at quiet times. We have never been disappointed. Highly recommended. read more

Dirty glasses. When we were brought a clean glass the waiter poured the wine from the dirty glass into the new glass. Upon our commenting the manager returned and said he 'guaranteed that the spot was not food and was the flowers F from the table' (the glasses had not been on the table). The manager then said he would not replace the cross contaminated glass or provide a new bottle. For the rest of the evening we received nothing but rude comments and glares. Highly unprofessional. Would not recommend. read more

Ive eaten here for over ten years and all ways been happy with the friendly service and the food. Chicken cashews a good choice. The bill can add up especially if your drinking but id rather pay a bit more and be happy. read more
