I started off with the floatation tank/pool/room for an uninterrupted, relaxing and rejuvenating one hour. (Did I mention how great the music was?) After my hour I further continued my services with the CryoFreeze, which I much delighted in especially upon knowing how many calories I was burning in 3 minutes. Between 400-800 kcals. Who wouldn't delight in this luxury? That's AMAZING in my book. And last but not least, the Cryo treatment to my face. What an experience. My skin is loving the benefits. Added collagen production. This will be my weekly staple.

This is the filthiest float therapy place I've been to…read more I purchased a Groupon to this place. I've been here before 4+ years ago. Upon arrival, I was brought to the first float room. I was immediately underwhelmed with the cleanliness and quality of the room. This comes especially from the perspective of someone who avidly goes to float locations throughout NYC and LI, as well as out of state. You'll get a significantly better experience from Floatopia. Nevertheless, I was excited to relax after a long business day. When I opened the rub area, I was met by an immediate smell of mold. I didn't even step into the tub. I asked the receptionist to try another room. When I tried the second room, I was also met with both mold, sour smells and a FILTHY tub. The bottom of the tub is brown. There was dirt at the bottom of the tub. As you can see pictured, there is mold growing around the tub area. It smelled horrible. Do not support this business. This is a huge cleanliness issue.

Boost Wellness Review: Roslyn, New York…read more As someone who used to frequent public contrast therapy spots back in Arizona, stepping into Boost Wellness in Roslyn felt like an entirely different league. My wife and mother-in-law gifted me sessions here for my birthday, and after seeing the setup, I immediately traded my initial package in for a monthly subscription. It's easily one of the best ways to spend a weekend. What sets this place apart immediately is the privacy and the quality of the equipment. Back in Arizona, cold plunging meant piling into shared, public tubs and cycling through communal saunas where everyone is on display. At Boost, you get your own private rooms. My go-to routine is the contrast therapy: * Round One: 20 minutes in the private infrared sauna, which comes loaded with bluetooth speakers so you can sync your phone and play a podcast or music, followed by 3 minutes in the cold plunge. * Round Two: 10 more minutes in the sauna, followed by another 3 minutes in the plunge while stretching out to get the blood flowing. While they do offer a cryo option, I much prefer their actual cold water plunge tubs. Afterwards, I head over for a 10-minute session in the red light therapy room. Unlike older setups I've used where the light panels are fixed far away, their multi-light therapy panels are on wheels. You can roll them right up close to get full-body exposure, and the room has a nice built-in breeze so you don't overheat. They also have top-tier compression therapy chairs that double as actual massage chairs--brand new, pristine, and incredibly comfortable. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the manager got me set up smoothly on a credit-based system. Contrast therapy runs you two credits since it covers both hot and cold cycles, and the monthly membership gives me 12 credits to play with--perfect for hitting three solid therapies once a weekend. At over 50, I'm doing this to stay strong, mobile, and young for as long as possible. Whether you're already dialed into the science popularized by Wim Hof or just starting to look into the longevity and recovery benefits of cold water and infrared therapy, Boost Wellness is unmatched. The facility is spotless, state-of-the-art, and worth every visit. Highly recommend.

What truly sets the Roslyn location apart is the staff. Everyone is kind, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely interested in making each visit a positive one. It is rare to find such a broad range of high-quality services offered in one place with this level of cleanliness, care, and professionalism. A Heartfelt Review of Emerge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center - Glen Cove, NY…read moreMy mother, Nelida Alen ,was a resident at Emerge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Glen Cove from August through October, and our family could not be more grateful for the wonderful care she received during her stay. Throughout her time at Emerge, my mother was treated with kindness, dignity, and respect. We would especially like to recognize Head Nurse Elizabeth, who was efficient, caring, and wonderfully entertaining. Her personality and dedication made a real difference in my mother's experience. We are also grateful to Michelle and Ian, who were always caring and attentive. Her evening aides, Cecilia and Doobie, took excellent care of her, while Paola and Yolanda, her morning aides, always made sure she was clean, well-groomed, and beautifully dressed. The therapy team was awesome! We especially want to recognize Ibrahim, who always made sure to give my mother attention and a friendly fist pump. That simple gesture brought her so much happiness and made her feel special. A special shout-out to the bakery team and all the staff who work there, especially Rita! Thank you for the part you played in making my mother's stay a positive experience. Your efforts and contributions are appreciated more than you know. It is the little things, along with the kindness and dedication of the staff, that make such a big difference when a loved one is receiving care away from home. Knowing that my mother was surrounded by people who treated her with compassion and respect meant so much to our family. Thank you to everyone at Emerge for taking such wonderful care of our mom. We truly appreciate each of you and the positive impact you made during her two-month stay. We are sharing our experience because we want other families looking for a nursing and rehabilitation center for their loved ones to know that there are caring people who make a genuine difference. Our family will always be grateful to the Emerge team for making my mother's time there so special. With heartfelt gratitude Katia and Vivian

He treated her with genuine kindness and dignity, making her feel comfortable and heard. It meant so much to see someone take the time to communicate with her so thoughtfully. Thank you to Ricky and the entire team for the excellent care and compassion you showed our family. We are truly grateful.

She also showed us how to determine the acidity or alkaline levels with different water brands. Very informative! Second, we were brought to the back for a 30 minute sauna that included 10 minutes of using the vibration machine. It kind of reminded us of the machine that was used in Harriet the Spy, with the band wrapped around your waist. I sweated so much from the sauna and the vibration machine worked my stomach muscles! Last, we did the foot detox and it showed us where the toxins were being drawn from in our bodies. Gina gave us two gallon glass jugs of alkaline water to take home. I would definitely recommend coming back here!! :) Thank you!!!!! Xoxo

They work in sync like a band that's been playing together for years, lapping around and making sure all patients are engaged and progressing through the various treatments/exercises in their respective treatment plans. I came here in August with a ruptured Achilles that I had surgery to repair, and walked out (literally!) just a few months later, and far earlier than the surgeon had expected. That's a true testament to the time and attention everyone here gave to me, referring frequently to my chart and the well-taken notes, gradually adding weight and/or repetitions on, and mixing in new exercises when appropriate. I also really appreciated the overall vibe here. Good music is always playing (could be 90s grunge, pop country, or classic rock, depends on who takes over the playlist!) staff are all friendly with the patients and with each other, and there's a great mix of folks in here to chat with. The walls are decorated with staff photos, pics of their kids, etc. and little league team photos from the teams they sponsor! Short version: It's about as fun as physical therapy can be! I am so appreciative to everyone here, and although I hope I never need PT again, I'd return here without hesitation! Thank you!

Where Do I start? Well... I guess at the Beginning... My 86-year-old Mom had been admitted to…read moreBelair as a Sub-Acute Rehab Patient back in 2019 (Pre-Pandemic) and I first Met Marie Jean Baptiste who works in the Admissions Department. Marie immediately saw to all my needs and answered many questions, as this was my first time ever dealing with a Rehab Center. The care that my Mom received at Belair this very first time was excellent. While on the first floor, in the area where the short term sub-acute patients stay, the Nurses and PT/OT got her back on her feet (literally) and she was discharged to her home in great shape. This was a short stay, but I knew if my Mom was in need of this type of care in the future, I would not hesitate to have my Mom placed at this facility. 2021 My Mom is a Resident at Belair and is thriving. Once again, meeting with Roseann and Marie at Admissions, all of my needs were met with the highest degree of attention. Andrew Yandoli (Administrator at Belair) explained to me in detail, the process for my Mom's transition from Short Term Sub-Acute care to Long Term care in a way that was not overwhelming, and certainly put me at ease. Dr. Krichmar (Medical Director) and the Nursing/Aide staff on the first floor Sub-Acute care area took excellent care of my mom, before moving her to the second floor as a Resident. Susan (RN Unit Supervisor) as well as Maureen (RN Nurse Manager) were always available to answer my questions and concerns. The Nurse Practitioners, Danielle and Dr. Ebby handled all of my Mom's prescription medication needs, and that wasn't always an easy task. The many nurses like Holly and Payal as well as Yolie are always so caring and attentive. Nurse's Aides like Tiesha, Erlinde and Andrea (my Mom calls her "Guardian Angel") on the second floor are excellent and my Mom is grateful (as am I) to have them taking care of her. The Nursing Director Theresa and the Assistant Nursing Director Marjorie are so great in guiding me when it comes to various issues that arise with medication or outside doctor's appointments. Lynn is super helpful with setting up transportation and Aides for my Mom when she needs to leave the facility for outside medical specialists such as her Orthopedic Doctor. The Rehabilitation Director Angela and her staff of OT/PT's are awesome. My Mom sees Gus (PT) and Brianna (OT), and always speaks so highly of both of them. I see them in the hallways, and they never fail to give me updates as to how she is doing in Rehab. The Social Workers, Nikki and Blanca as well as the Belair Business Manager Jenny have been very helpful with navigating the waters of transition from Sub-Acute short-term Care to Resident Long-Term Care. Walking into The Belair is always a good experience. Vito (reception area) is always there with a smile and a quick temperature check. He's happy to reach out to anyone I may need to speak to, upon my arrival, or transfer a phone call when I need some help from home. Vito's Dad John is in charge of maintenance and Housekeeping and was a great help to me, while setting up my mom's new space. In fact, Vito and His Dad are not the only family team at the Belair. Marie (Admissions) and her son Ken as well as Maureen (RN Nurse Manager) and her Daughter Jessica also work at The Belair. Roseann and her Daughter Stephanie (HR) also work together at the Belair. Funny thing... My Mom has now called me a few times (after I've not been able to reach her) to tell me that she's been "BUSY". The Recreation Staff on the 2nd floor is excellent. Maria, Joyce, Jeanine and Dawn really keep the residents busy. My Mom has become quite "Crafty". Between Church services, Chloe the therapy dog, and singers that come in, my Mom always seem to have great stories to tell me. The year leading up to my Mom being placed at The Belair was extremely stressful, and knowing my Mom is now being cared for on a daily basis is a HUGE RELIEF.

He never consulted us or discussed pros and cons of the medicines and changed them without us knowing the side effects or interactions among them. I had to constantly go and ask him about them. One day he got extremely angry and yelled out "How many times do I have to tell you. Get out of here. I'm not taking care of your wife. Take your wife and go. Get out. Go." I was totally shaken and stunned. I told him he was not the owner. I wanted to talk to his boss, the medical director. He flippantly answered." Go ahead and talk to him. I am not his son." I complained to the Administrator and the medical director later. They both said they were reassign his area, but really didn't since he was at his nursing station whenever he worked,on our floor. They didn't fire him or even admonish him as I could tell. This kind of egregious professional misconduct should not be tolerated anywhere in rehab centers. These employees work there because of patients and rehab centers are open because of patients. There were times when medicines would be delayed, even after asking for them up to an hour. All in all most of the supervisors, nurses, aides, PT staff, admissions staff and receptionists were very nice people. The food is not good and we had to bring it from outside most of the time. I'm giving this place a one star because this nurse practitioner ruined everything for us. We were in the middle of rehabilitation, so didn't want to change Centers. I'm thinking of complaining about him to the New York State education department, National Health Care Associates (owners of Bel-Air, ) and Medicare among others. Anybody considering putting their loved one here , is strongly cautioned about a possible similar horrible experience to ours and should think about it very carefully.
