I did not believe chiropractor's really could help. My husband forced me to go becausd I was in so much pain and inable to walk. Long story short. I was completely wrong. (Never tell my husband that) After a few visits I was feeling much better able to walk for extended amounts of time which was amazing. To my surprise many other ailments started to subside as well. Acid reflux pills cut in half which is huge I have 4 ulcers in my throat, No more aspirin. My sleep which has been horrible since I was a teen has gotten better. Get a full 8 hours now when the rest of my family lets me. Not to mention that his staff makes you feel so welcome. I look forward to going. Dr. Hansen is terrible. My neck was tight and needed an adjustment so I made an appointment. My first visit was a "consultation" and "evaluation" which consisted of X-rays AND NO ADJUSTMENT! Then when I return, Dr Hansen adjusts me and proceeds to tell me I need to come twice a week. I go twice and he tried adjusting me when I clearly felt fine and when nothing cracks he says "wow you're very tight". EVERYONE DO THEMSELVES A FAVOR AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Don't read the positive reviews here! It's total bullshit! It's colleagues and family vouching on his behalf. I woke up one morning unable to stand up straight and could barely walk. I went to Dr. Hansen's office two days later in hopes it would help my back pain. I was going there 3 days a week and after the first month my back pain was 90% cured. The staff is great at the office. Called for an appointment and Specifically asked if they accepted my insurance the girl that answered the phone said that they did accept my insurance. I came for the first appointment which I did not know when I made the appointment that it was going to be an exam only and not an actual adjustment. At this visit they took x-rays and asked a lot of questions. They made an appointment for me to come back the following day to meet with the doctor once he had a chance to go over my x-rays. I came in the next day and met with Dr. Hanson. He went over my X-rays and said I would need a one-year plan of treatment but we would focus on the first six weeks right now. He then told me that my insurance would only pay a little more than $100 of the $800 fee that it was going to cost for him to treat me over six weeks. Dr. Hanson then told me that he could split the difference of $700 and change over two payments. I explained to him that when I called to make the appointment I was told that he accepted my insurance. Dr. Hanson then got a little defensive and said that the girl at the front desk was new and to make it easier on the girls at the front desk he prefer if I made one payment instead of two but that if I had to make two payments I could do that as well. Dr. Hanson then said I had one of two choices I could seek treatment with a doctor that was in network with my insurance or I could pay the $700 and change that the insurance company would not pay. I told Dr. Hanson at this time that I felt like they duped me by telling me that they accepted my insurance that they were in network with my insurance when they were not just to get me to come in. I told him what he did felt fraudulent. What they did at this chiropractor's office was dishonest and immoral and unethical. I will tell everybody that I know not to use Dr. Hanson and to seek treatment with a more reputable doctor. read more

Dr. Hansen is one of the most competent chiropractors I've ever met. Not only does he give amazing spinal adjustments, but he takes time to really understand your spine and Health and customizes the chiropractic care to meet your individual needs. Dr Hansen is very nice but he is a marketer and does a good job at it. He has a whole system set up. Come in, fill out a bunch of paperwork, take a bunch of xrays and make another appointment for your first treatment. Then he insists you have to go multiple times a week for 2 or 3 mos. This can be a problem for some with copays. For me I was in a car accident hit as a pedestrian so it was no problem with no fault. I went for about a month alongside physical therapy. But when he started having me do physical therapy exercises in his office too I thought it didn't seem right. He has a whole little area set up for this. Already going to therapy I didn't want to do anything they weren't aware of. It just got to be too much. I left and went back to my old chiropractor who treats individuals where they are at...visit wise and financially. He by the way says himself most chiropractors are crooks. read more

I had one of the worst spasms in my back yesterday that I have ever had so I looked up Dr. Hansen on the internet, and they gave me a morning appointment. I was happy about the morning appointment and quite eager to get rid of my back pain. When I got there everyone was very nice and I filled out a bunch of paperwork. The assistant then gave me a quick tour of the office and brought me to a room to wait for Dr. Hansen. He seemed very nice and asked me about my pain, and then about the things I enjoy doing and what my future goals were. He then said he needed to take a bunch of x-rays to see what was going on with my spine. After the x-rays, he told me to make another appointment for later that day or the next day. He sent me home in extreme pain without doing anything to help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They made me the last appointment of the day which was 7:55PM. My wife came back with me in the evening, and they brought us back into the x-ray room, and he began to show us x-rays of my spine and tell us elaborate things about the spine and the human nervous system while he made strange multicolored doodles on a piece of paper in front of me (the way an auto salesman or cell phone salesman does while trying to confuse you to sell you a product). I kept trying to break in to tell him that we do not have a lot of money, and that even multiple co-pays a week could be a problem, but he kept saying we will talk about that at the end. In between all of that he was using scare tactics on my wife such as "you don't want to have to roll him around in a wheelchair for the rest of your life". At the end of his long speech he set some very long term goals and said he could give us a discount for his services that would take place after the insurance would not cover any more (remember, at this point he has still done nothing for my back pain!) The discount was to be over $1800.00 up front!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now remember I had just told him a while back that more than a few $20.00 co-pays might be an issue! I have never been to a chiropractor in my life before (and I have been to many) that sent me back home in that kind of pain without trying to help me and laid that kind of a sales pitch on me!
