We used Photoworks for a recent company event. Paul was communicative and friendly and there were no issues with arriving on time at our San Francisco location. We used another vendor for a previous event and those photos came out small and blurry. Photoworks clearly offers a higher quality photo. Additionally, our event was on a Saturday evening and by the following Monday morning, Paul had already emailed us all of the digital prints. Each person also got a paper hardcopy of the photo at the event in real time. We had access to the photobooth for a 4-hour block of time which was plenty for our small group of 40 people. Paul also comes ready with the backdrop and a variety of silly props. You won't need to bring or prepare anything - he brings it all. We will definitely use Photoworks again in the future! read more

We have used this service a few times now and have always been pleased. We were signed up for a closed up photo booth but for some reason they sent me a hosted open air photo Booth. We Quickly identified the issue and the owner (Paul) offered the event for free if we didn't like it. At the end of the night the goofy hats and fun accessories won us over. Joy was perfect with our 5th graders and encouraged our adult volunteers to participate as well. Turn around time was also fast! We had them at our wedding in July 2010. My guests had fun and they could take their pictures home as a wedding favor. They gave us a memorable scrapbook (with pictures and written wedding wishes from guests) right after the wedding reception was over. We got all the pictures, even if the guests didn't put it in the scrapbook. They were easy to book and we got a discount from the bridal faire. What really pissed me off, though, was that they didn't let my 73 year old parents take a picture at the end of the night. Come on! My parents waited til the end of the night because the lines were hella long, but geez.... why turn down the parents of the bride??? Just ONE PIC??? They let a couple of kids (the same kids, btw) take 100 pictures all night but not one picture for my parents??? I wish my parents told me that when it happened. I think they should give priority to the bridal party and parents . I also think they should limit the little kids who go in the booth. I was really upset to see the same picture of a little kid(s) over and over in the scrapbook. I totally recommend having a photobooth at your wedding. You should just look for another company. If you want to stick with Photoworks Interactive, MAKE SURE you tell them who to prioritize. read more

We used Photoworks Interactive one year ago (June 2013) at our wedding reception. After searching long and hard for a photo booth company, I settled on Photoworks Interactive because their quality of photos impressed me and the location was close by our venue site. They were pricier than other companies we had looked at, but I figured "You get what you pay for." The employees there were very friendly and knowledgeable. Allison, Paul and Ryan were great and I felt really happy about hiring this company, especially since they have a back-up photo booth in the truck at the event, in case one machine breaks down. Months before the wedding, their tech guy Ryan helped me design the photo background and I loved the way everything looked. Emails and contracts were sent and signed smoothly; everything was well-organized. I excitedly told all my friends to make sure they went to the photo booth at the reception because I knew they would love the photos. We didn't want the scrapbook option but opted for double prints of all the photos that would be taken. One for our guests to keep, one for us. All this was specified in our contract. Fast forward to our wedding reception. I noticed that the line to the photo booth was always very long and slow-moving. When I asked my friends if they had visited the booth, many of them said the line was too long and didn't seem to be moving. The guy who was operating the booth was great though--he was very friendly and when he'd see people in our bridal party, he would let them go to the front of the line. At the end of the night as our guests were leaving and we were packing up, I asked the booth attendant for our double prints. He seemed confused by this but I didn't make a big deal about it since I figured they could always print me extra prints and send them to me later. He handed me a flash drive of all the photos and we went on our merry way. That weekend we looked at the photos and laughed as we looked at all our friends' funny poses, but thought, "Why are there so few photos?" A few days later, Paul called me and said that he would print out the double prints and mail them out to me. Then he informed me that somehow in the last 45 minutes of our reception, their hard drive had stopped saving photos and there was no way to get them back. THEY LOST OUR PHOTOS! I was in shock. Not only did they flub up the night by not printing out double prints as they should have, but now they had no record of them! Had they checked the contract, they would have printed the double prints and then if the hard drive crashed, at least we would have the printed copies. Not only that, but the photos did not look the way we had agreed. In our initial agreement, we had specified the red curtains to match with the roses on the photo. At the reception, the curtains were an awful light blue, that totally made the photos look like a cheap circus/carnival photo. We also soon discovered that the amount of guests who were able to TAKE PHOTOS was considerably less than what was promised. When I first signed the contract, their sales pitch was that they'd be able to take "UNLIMITED PHOTOS" that averaged "ONE MINUTE 12 SECONDS EACH" but in reality, our 4 hour rental netted 91 photos, not including those that were lost in the last 30 minutes of the night. This translates to about 23 photos per hour. Based on what we paid, this equates to about $12.10 PER PHOTO. Paul said he would check the hard drive and get back to me the next day. He never called back. Instead, I received an email saying he had a long distance call at that time and to inform him of my availability. ?!?! Later I was told that in the contract, in the event of machine malfunctions, there would be a refund of $150. We felt like the company paid us as little as they could to calm the waters. We lost all the photos in the busiest time of our reception and yet we still have to end up paying $10 for each photo?! Every time we look at our photos now (the ones they actually HAD, with the tacky blue curtains), I am reminded of the disappointing experience. For a company that gives off such a professional image, they should have better back-up systems in place so that this doesn't happen. There should not be a mere $150 compensation for machine malfunctions. At the very least, the refund should take into consideration how much time was lost (about 1/4 of our time) and the amount should have been adequate enough so that you don't feel that you're overpaying for photos. Other businesses would have bent over backwards when they realized their errors and done anything to make the customers happy, since the fault was on their side, not just given you a refund of 18%. read more

I've been to a couple weddings recently with photo booths and these guys were by far the best. I loved the inclusive photo booth service and the quality was top notch! I got the digital copy of me and my girlfriend in the photo booth from the bride and took the copy to Costco, enlarged it to a 11X 17 and gave it to my girl on her Birthday, what a hit! I highly recommend PhotoWorks Interactive and compared to the other booth I saw, PhotoWorks blew them out of the water. i don't remember the other company but their booth looked homemade, the photos looked homemade, and the service was mediocre. I recommend shopping around before you get a photo booth. Ask to see a sample of the photos, ask to see what the booth looks like and make sure to ask how long they've been in business. For my wedding I'm going with Photoworks because I've seen the competition and realized the difference in quality and service provided. read more

And the development time was ridunkously fast. I had 470 people and imagine if they all had to wait 3 minutes each for their photos. The attendants were so great! They helped people put their scrapbook pages together (this was basically our guestbook) and i loved that people were getting so creative. When my husband and I took a picture, the attendant even went into the back and got a 2nd copy printed for us! Photoworks was recommended to us by our wedding coordinator, Crystal Lequang of Amazae Special Events (www.amazaespecialevents.com). They allowed us to customize not only the background print (colors and logos) but also how many sets of pictures printed on one sheet - we had 4 poses printed on one sheet, three times. That way they guests can leave one strip for us, share one strip with another party, and keep one for themselves. They also accommodated us with a specific back drop curtain color for the booth - we requested brown (I think their standard is red). They provided props and the pictures printed out within seconds. They also encouraged people to use props and come back to take pictures more than once. Lastly - the scrapbooking ... they had two people manning the booth at all times. They gave scrapbooking tips and when they had down time, they scrapbooked pages for us! The next morning, we went to the venue to pick up our things, and to our surprise, the beautiful and completed leather scrapbook was already there with all the digitals of the pictures attached on a USB key ring. Photoworks Interactive provided a photo booth at our August 2011 wedding in Los Altos. We actually saw them setting up for another wedding at the museum when we were choosing our reception venue. So, they were familiar with the location (knew where to set up a table, power supply, etc), which made us a bit more confident that they knew what they were doing. The booth came with two attendants who help put together a wonderful scrapbook of photos taken throughout the night. I think the guys doing this actually like their job, because they aggressively get photos from all of the guests and make sure they're in the book. My only complaint is that we were told all guests would get to keep a copy of their photos as well as get one in the book. Instead, many left empty-handed when the attendants took their photos. I guess for two people, it's easy to split the photos between the books and the couple, but it's harder when 3-8 people are cramming in the booth. If I did it again, I would check to see if they can customize how many copies of the photos the printer spits out. Ahead of time, Photoworks contacted us to choose a custom logo for our photos. They're professional, have a backup booth in case their main one breaks down, and are responsive on emails as your big day nears. We got a photo booth for our wedding reception which was outside, and alongside some lawn games, food, etc. It was the perfect addition to the event... all ages were having a blast, and coming back for more and more. We got double prints and a scrapbook table thingy so the guests could cut up one of their copies and create a page for us. The scrapbook is awesome, and the provided a thumb drive with the digital copies... including each individual photo, not just the full print with all 6 pics on them. Just that thumb drive was worth the money!! But of course having that as attraction and then also each guest being able to take home pics was awesome. They deliver an actual retro-style photo booth (not just a photo booth setup) complete with great props (sunglasses, hats, boas, etc.). The staff was completely professional, helpful, friendly and fun. These guys came out and provided a photo booth at a function I went to a few weeks ago, the photo results were awesome, and they even the name and date of the event on the photo print out. They even provided some costumes and caps, I was partial to the captain's hat.... We all crammed in and took some awesome photos, it seemed it was such a big hit with all of the other guest that eventually the length of this line surpassed the length of the food line. If I have a large event that calls for something entertaining for the guests, I'm definitely giving them a call, maybe it will make the food bill lower. read more

I was trying to find a photo booth for my wedding and these people were TERRIBLE. I could not get them to call me back, when they did, they never had my information, the guy on the phone always seemed distracted, and when I got their salesperson, she would quote me wrong information. THey sent me the wrong contract TWICE. Also, their prices were so much more expensive than the company I used (videoamusement). The difference between Photoworks interactive and the place I used was like night and day. Video Amusement got back to my email within hours, and we were on the phone by the end of the day. We booked Photoworks at the Santa Clara Bridal Expo earlier this year, they had a special bridal show price and I was hoping to do something different at my wedding so I thought I'd squeeze it into the budget. IT WAS SOOOO WORTH IT! We just had our wedding at the Chaminade Resort and Spa in Santa Cruz. Photoworks customer service was awesome. Weeks before the wedding they contacted me to choose a pattern for the photo strips and just to touch base. They confirmed the time the week of the wedding and arrived to the Chaminade and had everything set up before the guests arrived. As soon as my guests entered the reception room they got into the booth and there was a mile long line all night long. EVERYONE got in the booth! I absolutely loved getting the guest book that everyone signed and put strips of pictures in, it was a nice leather book with a few blank pages for us to make our own pages with. The best part was getting a little zip drive with ALL the photos taken that night on it (even the ones that people didn't want anyone to see :) I was able to take the pictures from the zip drive and send them via email or facebook to some of my guests, they really appreciated having a soft copy of their photos! I highly recommend this company for any large events, you won't regret it! read more
