I am compelled to write this...Paid $600.00 FOR WHAT???? Tabitha Hollenbeck was Not professional and extremely unethical. We booked her for 2 photo sessions after seeing samples of her work. We hired her for bump to baby. After paying her she became cold with no personality. I found out later her sample work was photo shopped. She did not edit the photos for us properly nor would she answer the phone. Only responded to text. She was very rude in the text messages. Do not spend your money. You are better off taking the pictures yourself with your phone. We don't wear shoes in our house. She didn't think to tell us to wear shoes for the pictures. We saw the pictures it was awful without shoes. I had to tell her 3 times to crop out our bare feet!!! She had a nasty response because I asked her 3x times to crop our feet out of the pictures. All Our family pictures have feet cropped out. I literally had to chase her down for our pictures. She would get snippy and rude towards me.I stayed polite in order to get the pictures from her. I was at her mercy. That's not a good feeling. When I met up with her to get the flash drive and give her the final payment she was a total Jerk. She gave me a receipt after I PayPal her the money. I asked her are you going to give me a receipt for the first payment she said no because I have the receipt through PayPal. Then why write a receipt for the second part of the payment. This makes no sense. This is our first and only baby. She STOLE those special moments I wanted to capture for the rest of my life. I can never recreate them. It was monumental to me because I was pregnant and having our son during a lockdown and world pandemic. I am beyond pissed I spent money hiring her. I was better off burning $600.00 dollars!!!!

The idea of this post is to inform people of the great experience we had and that people should definitely consider using her for all sorts of photos. She has been in business for 10 years and has a wealth of experience. Two days before we arrived she sent us info about everything we would need to know so we would be prepared and ready for a successful photo session. I thought that was a nice touch. It was amazing to watch her work and we had no issues allowing her to handle Our newborn so she could get the best images possible. She made sure she told us everything she was doing, washed her hands more than necessary and, also asked us if we were ok with her doing whatever we she was going to do before she did it. At times our baby was rather uncooperative in that he didn't want to sleep and not a single time did she lose her patience. She really wanted him to go to sleep but he put up a heck of a fight. She hung in there for as long as necessary comforting him to get him to fall asleep. She knew the right times for diaper changes, feedings and could read him so she could work on appropriate photos/poses when the time was right for him. Her meticulous attention to detail and lighting was quite impressive. Listen, I went to college for art and she was showing me what a great photo was and what didn't work. Honestly, I didn't really see a difference. She paid attention to the position of his little fingers and so many other aspects I never would have considered in order to get the best photo for each "pose". My wife and I could not have been happier with the experience and we highly recommend people consider her. I personally think she gives far more than should be expected for the price when compared to other photographers. We will be going back to her for 6 month and 1 year photos as well. Thanks so much Crystal, we can't thank you enough for the amazing work you have done and will do for us in the future. ***Important Note*** She is located right off exit 8 on 390 so it's really easy to get to.

Sam was very proactive and worked with us to schedule around unpredictable fall weather. Hiring Bound and Branch to photograph our wedding was one of the biggest regrets of our planning…read moreprocess. We chose their 8-hour package specifically because it included two photographers--an important detail for us, as we had a large wedding party and a sprawling venue. We wanted to ensure that all the key moments would be captured from multiple perspectives. We reached out several times before the wedding--both through their portal and via text--to try and get the names of our assigned photographers (we had a friendship bracelet seating chart and wanted to represent them!), but we never received a response. We also shared a Pinterest board to help convey the vibe we were going for--candids, black-and-white shots, editorial portraits, etc. Unfortunately, this was completely disregarded. Then came the wedding day: just as photography coverage was supposed to begin, we were informed that only one photographer would be coming. The second had apparently tested positive for COVID. We asked for proof due to a COVID clause in the contract, and the entire situation quickly soured. After the wedding, we requested a 25% refund--just for the fact that half the expected photo team didn't show up. Their response was extremely unprofessional and defensive. They explained that they don't charge for a second photographer and that their pricing is based on just one. This felt misleading--nowhere in the initial booking process was that clear, and it certainly wasn't communicated that the second photographer was essentially a "bonus" and not part of the paid service. Worse, the owner made comments like: "If you're holding me to contract standards, then I'll only deliver 350-450 photos, and any extras will cost $8 each." I was stunned. After such a disappointing experience, this felt like a threat disguised as customer service. I told them to keep the money, clearly they needed it more than I did. When we finally received the gallery, the disappointment deepened. The photos lacked the vibe we hoped for--no black and whites, very few candids, nothing artistic or emotionally evocative. We didn't even get one usable photo of our entire wedding party. Family photos were poorly composed, some with eyes closed, and important shot list items were missed completely--because, as we later learned, the photographer who showed up had never been given the list. Communication between the owners and their photographer was clearly non-existent. This was the biggest day of my life--one of the very few times I'll ever need a professional photographer to truly capture the moment. And yet, I didn't even have a single photo that felt special enough to use on our thank-you cards. That's something you can't get back, and the lack of accountability from the company made it worse. To top it off, when my best friend left a negative review based on everything we'd been through, the owner texted me privately--offering $400 to have the review taken down. That amount, ironically, is what we were told a second photographer costs them... so why wasn't this offered upfront as a refund when we asked in good faith? This experience was a painful letdown, and I would not recommend Bound and Branch to anyone looking for professionalism, communication, or any sense of accountability on one of the most important days of their life.

That was stupid to worry about. They took amazing photographs. My husband and I are not the most photogenic people in the world (to say the least) and they made us look nice! We got great shots of our families, and a number of good shots of people at the reception. Also, they were extremely inconspicuous during the ceremony, which we really appreciated (although we do wish that there were a few more photos of us actually saying our vows).
