Their selection is better than any big box store (including the nearby Joann) and they have the boxes/packing for all your needs. I started my baking company a year ago and Vanilla Bean has been everything I wanted and needed. They keep a stock for all the upcoming holidays and have a wall of cookie cutters of everything you could possibly imagine. Then they have cake and cupcake toppers and plastic characters for parties and milestones also ok that wall. They have a huge selection of flavors and food coloring -- both are highest quality. Their gel colors have been my saving grace! Also, all of their tools, accessories, little things you can use are available. It makes this an awesome place to explore for any baking enthusiast. When I was in the State fair, Vanilla Bean had the cake dummies (styrofoam) I needed and at cheaper prices than Joann or online. They also have all the boxes and cake rounds for the bases that you could need. They also have pans for shaped cakes and characters. It's one of my favorite places in Madison -- go visit!

My son took the online course with MADS and it was adequate. However, for the behind-the-wheel…read morecourse, we decided to go to another school with far better scheduling availability. However, obtaining the "Classroom Completion--Notice of Transfer" form--that we needed by law, apparently--was like extracting a tooth. It wasn't that MADS was begrudging us for jumping ship. Rather, Jim, whom I'm guessing is the owner, was simply overwhelmed or unable to deal with the newfangled computer technology. He sent a screenshot of the form that was not submitted to DMV, and the new driving school wouldn't accept that. It took nearly a week of many ignored text messages and screenshots, unanswered phone calls to Jim (but no voice messages--MADS voicemail was full) for him to finally realize that he needed to merely hit the "submit" button on that screen for the form to go to the DMV, who would then forward to us. Jim, when I was able to get him on the phone, finally, even suggested that the form was lost at DMV. So I spent a good hour on the phone with DMV to track it down. What a colossal waste of time for something that should've been automatic! Ultimately, I was disappointed by how Jim handled the entire mess. On the one hand, he did his best. On the other, DMV said that MADS should've directly given us that completion form when my son completed the online course. This seems very unprofessional of MADS not to have. So, MADS seems like an average driving school, but a bit technologically challenged, overwhelmed, and not responsive. Had Jim simply listened to the problem and reacted responsibly--or apologized--I would've given the school 3 stars, or not written a review at all.

After I failed the first driving road test, I decided to have Jim as instructor for my behind the…read morewheel course and that was the right choice. Jim provided me with the right driving practices and rules. He is very professional and patient when giving instructions. The cars are easy and comfortable to drive. He was also correct with the time schedule we had agreed before. I passed the test easily and took the confidence of driving thanks to Jim. Highly recommend Mad Area Driving School for taking classes.

The same 3 kids are now in school and are really enjoying their time. We feel incredibly welcomed whenever we're on campus and the community of families has been wonderful. There are plenty of extra-curricular options. Our kids are involved with the after school care and my son comes home with stuff he's cooked/baked in culinary (never does this at home!). My daughter did Girls on the Run which was an incredible program to boost her confidence. My son did flag football for the first time recently and loved it, now doing basketball. My oldest really enjoyed playing volleyball. We have been most impressed with the teachers at HHA. What incredible people with positive attitudes. We constantly have emails describing what they're focusing on. One of our children required some extra attention at a time period and the teachers were not only super helpful, but professional and respectful.

Starting a new school during COVID was no small feat, and while there have been occasional missteps--what school doesn't have them?--HHA's commitment to improvement stands out. Challenges are met with reflection and growth, ensuring lasting progress. The administration, faculty, and staff are deeply dedicated to HHA's mission. This isn't just a school for academics; it's a place that fosters character and community. My kids love attending, and the sense of belonging is incredible. From hugs shared during Community Circle to my daughter having besties in every grade in the school, it's clear HHA is building a kind, inclusive community. If you're looking for a school where your child can thrive academically and personally, HHA is an amazing choice.

It's so fun to be able to watch them, especially when they achieve new heights. The instructors are great overall, and some are simply naturals at this. The front desk staff is fantastic as well. They provide excellent customer service and support. They have always been pleasant when we have asked for anything. I actually look forward to our visits there, seeing the instructors and saying hi to the front staff. Because you go routinely, you end up feeling inclusiveness--kind of like being a regular at a restaurant or bar! If you're considering Goldfish, give it a try. We did and will continue.

I've had very pleasant and positive experiences here, and I've had horrid ones. In regard to the latter, a manager derisively spoke to me about the language their website used, because I was too stupid to understand that their written words and options weren't what they meant, and then hung up on me when I asked her for her name. And she then called me back and lied to me that she had hung up on me. But the instructors have been nice and attentive enough--some have been wonderful, some not so engaged. But given what I experienced as management's tone to a customer, I don't don't fault staff for not being fully enthralled with their job.
